"He does not belong to you, incubus." The being swung its arm around, aiming for Casper's stomach.

Casper dived below the beam. "No ... but I want him!"

The being tried to hit Casper again.

"Hell, can't you find someone else?!"

"You are the only other one who wants him."

"Yeah, but you can find someone esle. Ain't very many who love my kind."

"He is the only one for our purposes."

"You really can't be sure about that!"

"He is."

"But he's the only one for me!"

"And what do you 'want' him for?"

"Like I said, not many love my kind."

"So he will protect you?"

"I dunno."

Suddenly the being's glow diminished and it fell to its knees.

"That's odd ..."

Evander was standing behind the being, his eyes glowing and his fist smoking.

"Or maybe not ..."

Evander walked over to stand beside Casper, his eyes still glowing.

"Hey, I'm the good guy," Casper muttered hastily.

"I know. I'm not going to hurt you."

"Just making sure."

Evander nodded, keeping an eye on the being.

"So ... what's the relationship then?"

"Like it said, it owns me."

"Not very nice ...."

"My father sold me to it."

"Once again, not very nice."

"I know."
