He smiled shakily at Casper.

"I'm not going to kill you."

"I know," Evander repeated, looking down at his feet.

Casper shrugged.

Evander nodded, frowning and looking around worriedly. "Someone is here..."

Casper paused. "Where?"

"I don't know," he whispered, eyes darting all over the place.

Casper looked aroiund as well. "Good or bad?"

"Definitely bad."

"And it was all going so well ...."

Evander shrugged, looking around for the being he was sensing.

Casper sighed.

"So. You are the incubus?" an echoing voice asked Casper.

"Well that would be me. Who wants to know?"

"We do." A glowing figure appeared just in front of them. Evander gasped, going rigid.

"Do you now? And why's that?"

"Because you have been hiding our property."

"I'm doing what? You own some house around here or something?"

"They mean me," Evander whispered, not meeting Casper's eyes.

Casper sighed. "Really?"

Evander nodded.

"But, if you gentlemen don't mind, I'm staking a claim to him."

"We do mind, incubus."

"That's just too bad, ain't it."

"For you, that is."

"Melodramatic much? Come on, I'm stalking my claim and it's gonna stand."

"Then you will have to die."

"If I had a penny for everytime I heard that, I'd be rich."

The being raised a hand, shooting a glowing beam at the two of them. Evander stood where he was, frozen.

Casper jumped to the side. "Evander move it!"
