![]() Sometimes, when it goes below -37, without windshield, we get a day off. (Yay!) But alas, my house is heated by a wood stove. So it's damn cold in here. And it's hot in summer, so then it's really hot! It kind of sucks. When winter is ending, and it's maybe 0, we're all out in T-shirts, because it's warm again! In summer though, that's really cold. What the temperature in Illinios? Did you guys get that massive snowstorm? 2/06/2008 #31By the way: I've added you as friend or whatever on dA. |
![]() It's about 27 degrees Farenhiet down here, it's ALMOST cold enough to get a day off, but we have to make it up during May. DX Yeah, we got that really massive storm this afternoon. It was torture waiting for the bus to take me home. 2/06/2008 . Edited 2/06/2008 #32Sweet! I'll add you too! =D |
![]() It was 75 Fahrenheit here last week... but then we had a snow day and it's been below freezing everyday except for today. It's like 50 here now... Weird Kansas weather... 2/09/2008 #33I------- am so bored. Grr... I have a ton of homework and a term paper to write, but I insist on sitting at the computer not actually doing anything. |
![]() That...is weird. O_o 2/09/2008 #34Heh. XD Saturday is my 'do nothing' day. Sunday is my homework day. |
![]() Sunday is my "Youth Symphony and Flute Choir Holy Crap I Do Too Much Stuff" day, and Saturday is my homework/competition/library day. I hate doing stuff... it's no fun... 2/09/2008 #35 |
![]() Well, since everyone else is sharing what they do on the weekend... 2/09/2008 #36Saturday is my day to procastinate about homework, and how I so do not get my math homework. At all. Then I just watch old movies with my mum, and dad. ( I spelt mom the good ol' British way because it's cooler. Also: It's colour, damn it!XD) Sunday is my do homework and go to Ringette practice day. It makes me sad that I always have to miss The Wonderful World of Disney at 6:00 though. In other news: I popped one of my braces off...the wire is holding it there, so I can't even randomly tear it off! So annoying. Stuff CAN be fun. It just depends WHAT stuff. Like me: English class=awesome! Math class= What am I doing and why. |
![]() I agree, some stuff is fun. For me, the fun stuff= Cultures, Patterns of Communication, and Chinese. 2/10/2008 #37Not so fun stuff= Algebra, and Dynamic Earth Systems, XP Doesn't really make me feel much better though when my mom has her stupid, wuss-of-a-boyfriend over EVERY. F**KING. WEEKEND! -Rant/rage/scream- |
![]() Algebra isn't fun for me either. Not at all. It ruins my day. My mind always wanders off, and I don't get any work done, yadda yadda. I wish I could go back in time, and stay a kid forever. I remember, when I was younger I thought if I left my window open in summer, Peter Pan would come take me away. I really wanted it, too. Well, truthfully, I still want it. Just a childhood dream, I guess. 2/10/2008 #38Do you tell your mum's boyfriend that he's a wuss. 'Cause you totally should. I always tease my parents about stuff. (ie. Why their hair is so damn thin, etc.) It's a lot of fun. Dinner table conversations rock! |
![]() I have no sentiments about your mother's boyfriend, but I DO have sentiments about algebra. 2/10/2008 #39Grrr.... I hate algebra. I hated algebra I and I hated algebra II... I actually really like math because I'm good at it, but I hate teachers. They're evil... |
![]() My math teacher was horrible, he'd give you a ten minute lecture and automatically assume we knew. The average was 55% in my class. He was too smart to teach us. Even though we were the Academic group. 2/10/2008 #40Some teachers are cool, because they can get really off-track. Which wastes time. Which may or may not be really cool, depending on how much homework you have. |
![]() My Drawing II teacher is insane, but in a good way. ^_^ She lets us swear, listen to our iPods, go on Youtube, basically whatever we want...as long as we do our work. :) 2/10/2008 #41My Chinese teacher is awsome too, so my Chinese class is a helluva lotta fun. XD The rest of my teachers are nice and all, but... -Snore- |
![]() My English teacher is awesome, and so is my Japanese teacher. My Chem teacher is really nice but has the most boring, monotone voice I've ever had to listen to, and Chem is 2nd hour, so I usually catch up on my sleep... 2/10/2008 #42My school is pretty cool, because if you're on the Honors Track, then you don't ever even have to have contact with the not-so-smart kids. It's nice. |
![]() See? I don't think my school HAS honors. Even all the kids in Academic everything aren't the brightest. Then again, in a school of 200...How many 'hours' so you have in school? We have 5 periods of 70 minutes, but is it a difference of countries, or what? 2/10/2008 #43...I still can't believe you guys have Chinese and Japanese...that's so unfair. I just want Spanish but nooo, only the kids in the french part of the building get it. One building, two schools. NO JUSTICE! |
![]() Eh heh heh.... 2/10/2008 #44Well, I guess my high school is one of the top schools in my state(Academic wise)...But it's pretty run-down. We seriously need new desks, computers, books, and a whole lotta other crap. Not to mention my school is frick'n HUGE. It's getting renovation next year though. I still hate my school though. Since it's huge, we have over 3000 students here. And a whooooole lot of them are stupid/brainless/sluts/assholes/jackassess/wiggers/and down right idiots. We have a fair share of intelligent people though. :) Our time slot is 8 periods of 50 minutes. For you SnowyDays, you have school for 6 hours....I have it for almost 7. TT^TT I think it's a differance of both country and state though. School slot: 7:45 AM to 3:10. I get up SO STINKIN EARLY. -Sobs in a corner- |
![]() My school has 7 hours, but I also have a zero hour, so technically 8. Are hours are 50 minutes with a 5 min. passing period. I go to an international school within my school with about 150 kids in it, and the whole school is uhhh... 1400 or something. 2/10/2008 #45As for when it IS, it kind of depends on the day. Sometimes its 6:30 to 2:40, or 7 to 2:40, or 7:40 to 2:40 or 7:40 to 12:40 or 9:20 to 2:40... normally it's 7:40 to 2:40. It only takes me thirty minutes to get ready and four minutes to get to school, so I normally get up at like 7 |
![]() Well...I live kinda far from my school, and it's a 30 minute bus drive there. I usually get up at 5:45 or 5:50 in the morning. 2/10/2008 #46...I think I'd die in confusion and exhaustion if I had your schedule. @___@ |
![]() That totally sucks... 5:45 every morning? I think I would die . I only get up that early when we have 6:30 sectionals, which is like once every couple of weeks... I'm having a hard time imagining that. *shivers* 2/10/2008 #47It's not so bad. It's nice when we have school at 9:20, but that hardly ever happens. *grunts with disapproval* |
![]() 5:45 every morning? 2/10/2008 #48Every. Damn. Morning. -Scream/Rage- I'm lucky I haven't died yet... At my school, the seniors get a choice whether to choose late arrival or early dissmissal. Cause the seniors get AAAALLL the f**king glory. -Grumble/Mutter- |
![]() Man, you get up EARLY! I feel sorry for you. I thought 7:00 was bad. We're in the same timezone and everything! 2/14/2008 #49Anyways, two random questions: What is your favourite TV show? And genre of music? |
![]() Haha... lucky duck... 2/14/2008 #50Favorite tv show? I don't watch much TV, really. I liked Gilmore Girls when it was on, and I watch House with my family. I have to admit though, I am partial to Project Runway. *shies guiltily in a corner* I'm an anime dork, too. I like FMA, Ouran High School Host Club, Fruba, etc, etc... I have very eclectic taste in music... My collection is mostly Broadway, but I like techno rave, nineties music, and Billie Holiday-era jazz... I'm a dork. Also, I *know* we've ranted the topic of Twilight dry, but Breaking Dawn comes out August 2nd. *squeals like the fangirl I am* Oh, my God, I am having problems today. The Internet hates me... Sorry for all the emails and stuff >_< |
![]() House rocks all kinds of awesome. Along with Coranation Street.(British shows rock) I never watched Gilmore Girls, I only have 6 channels, not including french. Because I don't like watching 'Perdu' instead of Lost. And you like FMA! I love you! None of my friends, 'cept one, know I like that show. Even my anime dork friend doesn't like it, and I find that blasphemous. Seriously, it's the only anime (in my brother and I's words, Japanamation) I like...I like the scanlated manga too. Other than that, I'm not too big on anime. 2/14/2008 #51Dude, it's okay if you're a dork, I am too. And everyone knows it. You know the movie V for Vendetta? I want a Guy Fawkes mask so bad. And then I can be V for Halloween. And everyone will stare, just like when I was the only grade 9 to dress up for Halloween. I was a ninja/pirate too. No has any awesomeness anymore... It's fo shizz August 2nd? Yippee! Then I can read it and be a happy camper. After Shindler's List and Atonement and all the other books that just won't get READ already. It's cool about the emails. When I see 4 emails in my inbox, it makes me feel important!:) |
![]() My sister likes Lost... I hate it, personally. Yeah, I used to be a big anime dork, but now I'm really not. I don't have that much time. I'm a busy busy bee. XD 2/15/2008 #52I take pride in being a dork, though I think I'm more of a Nerd. I'm a Nerdfighter. Yay Brotherhood 2.0! Also, I've never seen V for Vendetta, but I feel that I should. Like a bazillion people have told me it was good, so I should eventually see it probably. Yeah, it's August 2nd. It was announced on her the Lexicon a few days ago. And the movie's coming out on December 12th, which is totally my best friend's birthday. Tis exciting. Man, I love getting days off. I'm still in my pjs, and it's almost two thirty... |
![]() I am neither a nerd nor a dork. 2/15/2008 #53I am a GEEK. -Totally stole that from 300- Like you, LostInLaLaLand, I absolutley hate Lost. And almost everything on Nickelodeon, DisneyChannel(Specifically Hannah Montana....-STABS-) and CartoonNetwork(Adult Swim doesn't count). I like the old stuff, such as Boy Meets World(-Luffs-), Full House, Sister Sister(-Bricked-), and Even Stevens(-SHOT-). I also like Scrubs, Drawn Together, Family Guy, Avatar, and Gilmore Girls. But I'm also a COMPLETE Anime/manga Geek. And I take pride in it, thank you. u.u. I like animanga(as I call it) such as D.Gray-Man, FMA, Reborn, Yu Yu Hakusho, Zombie-loan, Peacemaker, Death Note, ect. Mostly action, I do have the occasional Romance thrown in though. Despite the fact that I hate Bella, I WILL buy Breaking Dawn when it comes out. And see the movie just to rant about it later. D< OH, the music I generally listen to is Rock, Hard rock, Alternative Rock, Alternative/Punk, electric, dance, Metal, and Soundtrack. I hate Rap. XP |
![]() 300 is awesome. V for Vendetta is awesomer. 2/15/2008 #54See, I don't have ANY of the channels you speak of. I have CTV,CBC,TVO, Global, Radio-Canada (Ces't la Francais!) and CH. I did like Phil of the Future and Dave the Barbarian, when I saw it. I dislike Hannah Montanna too. Everyone loves her, and out of pure dislike of 'normalcy' I don't lke it. And it's too...Tween. Woop! I now know two people who like FMA! That makes me happy! And DeathNote is cool, too. I remember, when I went to Germany with my friend (Her dad is there)we watched Drawn Together in German. It was so weird, and funny because it was German! We should make a club of people who hate rap. Old school rap was about the people. Now it's about drugs and it degrades women. It makes me angry! And since Metal is the music of Anger...heh heh. |
![]() I wanna see V for Vendetta... 2/15/2008 #55-Sob- Old Disney Channel = Good Recent Disney Channel = BAD. I have a few teachers who LOVE Hannah Montana, and a bunch of stupid, STUPID girls who won't shut up about it! Then there's little ol' me, looking on in disgust. And who would rather watch old Disney movies. -Current Favorite: Sword in the Stone. <3- Drawn Together is awsome. I just can never catch it on TV. TTATT Go Metal-lovers/Rap-haters! >D Though I do like Old School rap, back when it was GOOD. |
![]() Oh, man... I love Avatar XD... I have a disgusting obsession with it. My favorite old Disney movie is the Black Cauldron, which I completely hated when I was a little kid. 2/15/2008 #56I also think I want to kill Hannah Montana. Did you know the person who plays her older brother is like thirty? My cousin told me that, I didn't go looking to acquire that knowledge, just so you know. I think that's weird. I wanna be in the Rap-haters club! Me! Me! Our school radio station plays rap all the time, and it's sad because our school is like 95 percent white. I live under a rock, so I never really listened to Old School rap. I don't really know what new music is like either though, because I'm under the impression that everything past the year 2000 kind of sucks... I like Gershwin and Shostakovitch, because I'm a band/orchestra geek. >_< I don't really like Drawn Together... my dad thinks it's because I'm arrogant or something, but I just don't think it's funny. I dunno, maybe if I watched it a little more, I would warm up to it. I really like the Daily Show with John Stewart and the Colbert Report, since I'm a follower of the political scene. Again, a sign that I am a geek. |
![]() Heheh...I love thy ZuZu...>D 2/15/2008 . Edited 2/15/2008 #57Ooh! I LOVED The Black Cauldron when I was a Kid! Now I wanna go back and watch it... Did you know the person who plays her older brother is like thirty ...That is beyond disgusting. Some stuff after 2000 is good; (For me, Breaking Benjamin, Within temptation, Panic! At the Disco, and 3 Doors Down, <3)But a whole lot of it is just complete crap. Eh. I'm not really into the political scene, but with movies and art, BAM! I am there. |
![]() I know about politics! My 5&6th grade teacher taught us Politics all year, when we were supposed to be learning mythology. (Which I like at) You should see the conversations at my dinner table. The world, religion, and how Stephen Harper (our Prime Minister) looks like a robot. 2/15/2008 #58I like Breaking Benjamin and Within Temptation too. But I hate Panic! At the Disco. And Fallout Boy. Yeah... I never saw The Black Cauldron. BUT! I have seen V for Vendetta...so I guess we're even. |
![]() I...do not. Politics don't interest me. XP 2/15/2008 #59Eh, P!atD isn't for everybody, but I'm somewhat with you on Fall Out Boy. They sound way too much alike for my taste... Heh, I guess we ARE even, ne? :) |
![]() Yeah, I sit at the geek table at lunch and talk about Star Trek (I am not a trekkie, I swear!) and politics, because of presidential elections. (Barack totally pwns in my humble opinion.) 2/15/2008 #60I have never even heard of Breaking Benjamin or Within Temptation, so I have nothing to say about this... You should go rent The Black Cauldron! It = love. It's hilarious. I vaguely remember someone trying to commit suicide in a wonderful Disney-like fashion. |
