hey, concerto!

about advertising, I'm thinking about advertising this to people on other forums who are interested in coauthoring and also on youngwriters or reviewers-found.

by the way, FP IS FINALLY UPGRADED WITH THE FFN FEATURES!!!

It's a lot slower now though I think because of it. It's added a lot of weight to it.

Yeah that would be a good idea, and maybe a SKOW post, if I remember, they have a yahoo group, right?

I think they do, but I'm not a member of it. If you are one, you can post an ad there or something. I did notice that there are quite a number of people in other forums who want to do coauthoring. Maybe I'll PM them when I have time (currently unpacking some stuff since I just recently moved)

About the FP upgrade, it didn't make loading the pages any slower for me. I use IE by the way.

No, no. It seems like Firefox loads pages slowly.

IE has problems uploading docs/pics - that takes ages. Wait, IE 6 or 7? Maybe it's just 7 as it happened last time. Yeah, okay, I'll daringly put my hands on SKOW. It's been an untouched territory but still.

im using IE 6. The uploading of pics doesn't take long, it is just that it takes a while before my new pic replaces my old one. I don't think that has to do with the browser?

Yes it does. It practically stalls on IE7 for like ages and not do anything. On firefox it's like instant. They had that problem on the last update. They fixed it again in 2 days.

For me, both uploading pictures and updating my bio didn't take long. The time varies for when they actually get replaced though. For some reason, right after I saved my new bio, the changes appeared instantly this time. It's really interesting how these things work...

Yes yes. IE 6 should be fine. It's the king in terms of being stable and all, okay don't quote me - I didn't say that as a professional.

By the way, how should I make my SKOW post? Yes, I've never posted there - anxious - I've always found it a bit scary there - it's like some organization (wink wink).

EDIT: I called this others so I won't get confused with off topic in RP forum. Only reason.

Just step on the portal. Next door for sure. Imagination is the key. It only means that FP is hosted in US, you can't say for sure everywhere works there. It could have workers everywhere.

No, I'll definitely not write about how an undercover FP agent is my next door neighbour for my own entertainment, lol...

The one that I'm writing but not posting is about three university girls forming a band. It's a comedy because they are not so compatible, so to speak. The thing that I wrote on msn is part of this story.

Not exactly. That story just has too many references to my university, so I'm not posting it because nobody would get the humor unless you actually study there too. I just show it to my friends who also go to that university. Maybe if I edit it in the future, I might post it up.

I see. I see. I usually never use real world references much since not everyone will get it in some way.

Have you heard about Three Kingdoms? Chinese history that was turned into games, books, manga, and everything else. In the future I want to do a modern version of that - maybe with some other things.

I don't actually do a real world reference, but I sort of did a parody on it. For instance, the streets in my university are named West Mall, East Mall, etc. and in my story, these streets are named West Centre, East Centre, etc.

yes...heard of that story since I was a kid. It's one of the four greatest Chinese classics, along with Hong Lou Meng, Shui Hu Zhuan, and Xi You Ji (Journey to the West aka Saiyuki). Three Kingdoms isn't really Chinese history, but rather a story based on such historical characters. It has its deal of exaggeration, etc.

Well the people actually existed and the events did happen, but just not the way it was told. You read Chinese classics? That's a surprise... Just to me personally.

I didn't read the classics themselves, my dad did apparently... He told me the stories, and...well...Chinese television shows have plenty of those too. Talking about creativity in those folks who made the shows...tisk tisk.

Talk about Chinese... Taiwanese drama became manga translation lately. Anime the 2nd. But though they do a good job of it most of the time and add their own stuff - mainly just take the concept and use some less popular manga for the job.

Better than some repeated plots and copying elsewhere.

If you like something different in anime, definitely try Higurashi. That show rocks!

And Claymore's awesome too...as for Clannad...meh...it's okay. Being the "easily influenced" person that I am, I cried during Fuko's arc, but the lack of Kyou is making me **. Yeah, you can place Clannad in the secondary list; nothing worth high priorities...

bamboo blade last episode got subbed (very happy) and MINAMI-KE OKAWARI!!! I didn't know that one got subbed, but watching them was AWESOME!!!

I'm not either. I'm not a fan of racing in genre. It's more of how they overcome problems, including having to deal with money and all anyway.

I'm open to anything - as long as it turns out good. Like from hating American Football to learning a lot about it in EyeShield 21 - realized it's not that bad after all.

Some of the titles I've seen are Love Hina, Negima, Fruits Basket, DNAngel, Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star, Minami-ke, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece (partially anyway...), Claymore, Clannad, Seirei no Moribito, Kanon (partially again), Kannazuki no Miko, Kyoshiro no Sora or whatever it is called (partially), Strawberry Panic (partially), Maria-sama ga Miteru, Inuyasha, Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime, Night Wizard (2 episodes?), ToHeart 2 (1 episode), Oh my Goddess (1 episode), Bincho-tan (1 episode), Zero no Tsukaima, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Shakugan no Shana, Shakugan no Shana 2 (2 episodes?), Hayate no Combat Butler (30some episodes), the Nanoha Series, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Kai, Myself Yourself, Otome wa Bokuto...something (1 episode?), and I just can't remember all of them, haha

I used to be anime fan when it was on tv and I would come home watching it and stuff like that - like school times, but then haven't for like 8 years or more? and since never got back to it although really wanted to until very recently - about half a year ago...

Didn't see Negima anime cause I heard it was bad - but I've caught every manga that's out and it's good. Gave up on Naruto anime wise too. Bleach is good when you cut the fillers (not that the fillers are bad), but it gets in the way when that bit is interested.

Hm, in half a year I've seen a lot too - Law of Ueki, School Rumble first/second term, Pretty Cure, Gundam Seed/Destiny, EyeShield 21, Wild Striker, Full Metal Alchemist, Burst Angel, Death Note, Gaiking: Legend of Daikū Maryū, Fate/Stay Night, My-Hime, Air Gear, Yuu Yuu Hackusho, Oh My Goddess, Kenshin (around 30 so far), Bleach (40 or so), Shana (16 still going), Tsubasa Chronicle Season 1/2, Monster (30 something), Crayon Shin Chan (some of the start, and then some mid, and here and there), Kekkaishi (about 30), Oh My Goddess, Capeta (about 30), Pretty Cure Max Heart (about 10), Doraemon (some here and there as well), Ultra Maniac (the title is so unrelated), Best Student Council (about 20), Dr. Slump, Bakugan Battle Brawlers (just started - looks like pokemon, and those but seems a bit better)

He is memorable, well he's funny anyway. The one with the golden hair - the one that has Now Bird hair salon. The one that looks at females and is perverted and can identify their bra sizes. The one that watches the power rangers show. The one that always gets hit by Lala.

yay! that's cool! the big problem for us, though, is how to get people to actually start projects. i mean, besides the 4 of us, the rest of the people are not getting together to do projects. do we need to referee this or something and help people get started?
