yeah.. one thing.. Oblivion seems a little dark.. for Sigil Magic. Sigil magic is the manipulation of other objects, through runes. Ranz's hammock was just solidified air, looked like fire due to the patterns the air would have moved in a small room.. Ranz can turn you bookshelf into a tree theat grew books, and back into a bookshelf again.. if he knew how. Sigil magic DOES have a basic control over the elements.. moreso if you specialize. Ranz chose Fire, mostly because he was angry, and depressed, and a whole lot of other crap - he just happened to have to choose, right after his parents died.. Sigil magic is'nt evil.. it's 100% neutral.

It's only evil if you use it for evil.

Oblivion is just PERCEIVED to be evil because it has to do with Demons and Sicilia (plz excuse my use of your term). Of course it isn't, really. And if you read the thing for Oblivion (under the topic Forces), you'll find an explanation.

I'm not too sure about Sigil magic having a basic control over the elements, though, or transforming one thing into something else...maybe if the two objects in question were really alike or strongly connected. But transformation might need a new category of magic. I edited your character (added your descriptions). I also edited Alchemy and Kinetic energy.

No magic is evil, just able to be used for Sinister.

yeah, my character REALLY doesn't like humans...sorry if I came across to you as really unfriendly. :P Again, it's all bad perception.

I mean that she wants to spite the mob. Mostly just because I am in fact that odd, partailly because she can't stand the thought of someone taking her books in her absence, and partially because we may as well lead the mob in the direction which we are not moving in.

regarding your character, RJW, he doesn't seem to have any faults. He's too perfect, and with his young age he's a little too good at Sigil magic. He shouldn't be so skilled unless he's a Demigod or something. He doesn't have any personality faults besides that he takes blame for things he doesn't do...Again, I REALLY don't want to come across as a nag, but...

yea yea.. he tends to have anger issues.. but nothings come up to particularly upset him.. and the wall is only like.. 2 ft high.. nothing special.. setting off random explosions isn't hard either. I try not to make him too over-powered..

Erm, sry about the double post here, but about Heartsol...

You might've done well to read the previous posts on Call to Adventure! to find out you were in Riadore, and read the post on Riadore under the Places topic. Riadore's on the west coast, and so if it was west of Riadore, it'd have to be in Naihwa, and I'm not sure you'd want to do that, unless you made a Thalasanthar character and PM'ed it to me...

Oh, and it couldn't be north, either.

Help, please. I like Jyn's character, but she doesn't seem to have much depth. That is, she has the Sight, but no crippling flaws. I don't want parental angst, because that's kind of you guy's territory, but I would like to make her a bit more, well, human. Eventually some of her visions are going to send her off the deep end for a while, but any suggestions in the mean time?

hmm.. humans - like Ranz - are known to be extreme. they either get mad easy, or they're calm as can be 24/7 try to find something like that and send IT off the deep end lol..

well, she could have some really weird personality quirks...or she could be OCD-ish, or obsessive, a neat freak, really messy, a glutton, practically bi-polar, etc. (ha, i'm all of them besides the neat freak part)

No idea.. I use periods to signify a bit of a longer pause between what I'm saying.. if it's one period I tend to ignore it.. lol. I read real fast so lots of periods are more noticeable..

For future reference, Jyn's use of the word Ki is simply her version of a questioning yes.

Example: When she says, "try not to set anything on fire, ki?" she means, "Try not to set anything on fire, yes?"

Erm, for ThreeBlackRoses, the thing about Sharr was supposed to be a mistake. Bria had thought that the fire was from the Sharr but it was actually the smoke from Riadore (nearly the whole city's afire, right???)

Fire would be cool, considering he just blew up Riadore. All his minions could have crappy fire powers too.. lol... not trying to tell you how to do your thing or anything..

I agree RJW, fire would be fantastic. He'll only employ Elementals with earthbound control (i.e. no beast speakers). He considers other magics to be whitchery, and wants to eradicate their users. Think mini-Hitler the gangbanger...sort of...

On that note, what next. Shall we kidnap young Bri?...Kill the evil and superstitious, yet justice bound village head? Not be dramatic at all and run with our tails between are legs?

So many exciting possibilities! (I apologise...blame my cold medication)

*cough* I blame you*cough* don't worry*cough* anyway.. on another note.. it'd be cool.. but Ranz would have to pt up some sort of fight... his erm.. compassion would kick in..and I guess so would mine. I just help ppl.. can't help it, it's like.. I have to. I kinda gave Ranz that er... gene. He'll definitely want to help Jyn Bri, and Thorn - Especially Thorn.. He kinda likes her.

I was thinking that the village head go crazy at the sight of Thorn, and would totally flip out when he finds out that Ranz and Jyn are there. As for Bria, I think Marckham should try to banish her from Jackamber when he sees the apple tree. IDK, this is a group thing so what goes goes. Maybe Bria will go beserk when your gang-person swings 'round cuz she sees blood, and her Demi' blood will intervene and the gang guy will indeed kidnap her or s'thing. Again, idk. Of course, the village head should like, die of an aneurysm when he sees Thorn phase.

Oh, btw, Thorn calls Brialene Lia (cuz Liabrene, Brialene, whatev, it was in the past). Thorn's name is actually Tavria, which means Thornrose. Thorn changed a lot when she sold herself into slavery, after the prophecy.

well, they were only suggestions. But "shrinking" trees should be against the rules. I mean, making a tree grow is easy enough, that's natural. But you can't make time go back and turn the tree back into a seed. She could make the tree grow like crazy, I suppose, until it died, but then that'd be it and she could do no more.

Yes indeed, let's get dear Ranz a bit bloody, shall we? And perhaps throw Drev in too for some fun, split us up, kill some innocent, hapless bystander, flee to the Lynae...or, we could just get into a battle of political scandals.

SE, I like your idea, having Drev kidnap Bria. I also move that we kill the lovely axe weilding mayor...perhaps accidentaly-ish?

Well, actually, I want to keep Durler alive...for now, at least. And I'm seconding the suggestion for having Drev go to Jackamber. Marckham will probably be either battling Drev or attacking Thorn when she shifts. I'd say Ranz would be the third person he'd go after, but with Drev's gang moving in, I wouldn't think that he'd assault someone who was thoroughly human, and so young. Though if Ranz and Durler got into a conversation, Marckham would undoubtedly say some suspicious/nasty things about Boreal.

Boreal is what helps keep Ranz toned, Boreal is a frost-based sword, which helps him keep the fire down a bit.. he has a fire-sword to, but I haven't decided on a name for it yet so I haven't really mentioned it.. Boreal also as a bit of a purplish glow when she moves along with Ranz's fluid motions.. When he's completly in sync with the sword.. The other sword glows more of an amber/red.. the light trails his movements, as if it were a floating abject surrounding the sword. I'm think about naming the sword AmberStrike.. he has both swords but they're so powerful - thath e can only use one. Amberstrike enhances his fire, Boreal helps him control it.

On another note, I've decided to name the other sword Amberstrike, here's a bit of a bio for it: It's silver, with a red handle wrapped in red cloth, it has two dragon-heads to form the hilt, and the blade is longer then Boreal, Boreal is around 1.3 ft this one is 2 ft. The light forms a sort of ribbon of light-bending magic, so it's like he has Amber, or frost-blue trails following his swords, encompassing them..

Where did he get them? I mean, they seem like weapons a proper "hero" would have, like a weapon they'd get from an authority as a reward or s'thing that a person would get from a killed enemy, et cetera. I mean, isn't Ranz a little young? Jyn's 18, Thorn's 19. Their gifts have aged them, but Ranz...As far as I've heard (of course, I could very well be wrong) he lived a reasonably comfortable life, and his father did something w/ Alchemy (you didn't specify what).

Boreal itself is obviously extremely strong and valuable. It was easy enough to say it was a family heirloom (if you have any objections to this, feel free to say so), but if Amberstrike were to accompany the family coffers, Ranz's family would have to be a really rich family.

Also, if Amberstrike were to exist, where is it? If he had left it at his home, it would most definitely have been looted. If he carried it around...well, swords aren't heavy, so I suppose...But it'd be a mighty coincidence if both swords helped his magic, whatever his magic is.

Erm, do you want to change your character's magic? Cuz it sounds more like you have War magic (Warfire). It could be that he uses Sigil magic to enhance it, and incorporate Kinetic-Sigil to use the Warfire in a different way. And Elemental magic wouldn't work out, cuz he creates fire.

Sorry if I come across as a nasty control freak, but it still seems a little strange to me. Really strong, valuable, MAGICAL weapons don't crop up from nowhere.
