Topic: The Forest.

In this forest, strange creatures live. Will you join them? Or will you fight them?

Mizumi wandered in the forest alone. She missed her brother to death. He was her brother, protecter and caretaker. Her only friend... He had been caught and killed for helping her in her escape. All for her... Tears sprung to her eyes as she bit back a sob. There was no telling if they had bothered to send wyverns this far from the Camriki mountains. It was much colder outside of the pass without the bodies of her fellow wyverns to warm her. In humanoid form and in wyvern form she could not sustain heat in this wind. Where was the sun in this forest? The foilage was so dense that not a beam of sunlight could enter.

She curled into a ball at the base of a tree. Though it was day she was much too tired to move... With a yawn she slumbered unaware of prowling creatures looking for an easy snack...

Sucki prowled the thick forest he called home. He was used to the dense foliage, because he understood them and why they grew that way. He however did't notice the sleeping form and proceeded to fall over it.

Ranz stood at the edge of the forest, vigilant. He heard a small crash nearby, in the woods. He trekked through, keeping his old gun ready, and his hand all to ready to cast magic. "Who's there?" he called out, trying to sound like a peaceful townsman.

Mizumi jumped, startled by the contact yet... Her body felt frozen, cold... Her joints felt so very stiff... She balked in fear at Sucki's large form. She knew she was a tasty snack for some predators as a human but she was too cold and weak to change. She bared her teeth, trying her best to look fierce but her diminutive size probably didn't make her look too scary...

"Ow." Sucki growled into the ground. He lifted himself up, and put a hand on his head. "That hurt." He looked down at Mizumi. "You okay?"

Ranz heard voices.. but he couldn't make them out.. "W-Who's there!!??" he yelled, slamming a clip into his gun and ripping back the hammer..

Sucki heard someone loading a weapon. "Come with me." He held a large hand out to Mizumi.

Mizumi nodded with a full on blush and wide silver eyes but backed away. Her red streaked yellow hair was a dead give away for wyverns as long as she didn't get to close they wouldn't know. "I-Is... Fine..." she managed to mumble, her voice unused ti conversing as a human.

Ranz wanted to be peaceful.. he didn't want to hurt anything.. he trekked through to where the voices came from.. seeing the silhouette of a strange looking human.. and another.. smaller human.. "Wait! I don't want to hurt you! I mean no harm!" Ranz yelled, nearly falling on his face as he ran to them..

"There may be a hunter." He told her, "But I'm not sure." He stared at her, "Your a wyern..... aren't you?"

Sucki turned and bared his fangs. "You mean no harm and yet you wield a gun and have it loaded."

Mizumi eyes widened and she nodded. "N-No give! no give!" Her expression turned panicked she raised a hand to her mouth in a fist, expressng her nervousness.

Ranz rushed to them.. as he twisted his ankle he suppressed the urge to swear.. he saw the two figures not even 10 ft away from him.. so close.. he saw the lizard-like man and he stopped cold... "What the.." Ranz continued.. pressed on.. and when he reached them he saw the wyvern in her human form... and the lizard man.. "Well... this is rather,, awkward..."

Mizumi searched in her pouch for a weapon and found her sowing kit. She held out the pair of kitchen scissors in front of her, each hand holding the two handles. She did her best to look fierce and stop the shaking of her hands.

Ranz almost laughed.. "I mean no harm.." Ranz was breathing heavily from his run, tentatively testing his ankle.. "I only loaded my gun to defend myself.. I was I to know if YOU mean harm.."

"What are you doing here, human!?" Sucki demanded.

"I-If hurt... I-I" She wondered vaguely what the word was in human language. "I squish!" She waved the scissors in front of her, looking less of a threat than a wet sponge.

Ranz noticed her language difficulties.. "I will not harm either of you..." Ranz lowered his gun, took out the clip and shoved it in his pocket.. "But I will defend myself should you wave your tiny tools near me.." Ranz dropped the gun.. and sat down, taking off his sweater and offering it to the shivering woman..

Ranz growled right back, "We may not like each other but look at our circumstances.. were in the middle of a freakin' forest.. No food, water, or shelter for what could be a better part of a kilometer..

Mizumi knew she would feel much safer in her dragon form... But her body was much to cold. She, who drew her magic from the sun felt almost weak to the point of exhaustion without the beat of the sun's rays upon her back. "I squish!" She said more forcefully. Her brows furrowed when he extended his sweater to her.

"Farilarza?" she asked puzzled, switching to her native tongue. "Hecsavlari constarnavive?"

Ranz was utterly baffled.. He tossed the sweater to land beside her, and he began gathering twigs and various burnables "We have to stay warm.. especially you guys.. and sure the forest has all that.. but I'm not going to waste energy looking for what could get us even more lost.."

She took the sweater- but not before sneezing on the collected twigs causing them to burst into flame- allowing it to envelope her body. It was three sizes too large but it provided the warmth she needed to feel more comfortable. Mizumi stood entraced by the fire and knelt down next to it. "Warm..."

"Please... No hurt... I healer... No fight..." Mizumi tried to piece together in human language, wishing that someone spoke sign language. She was much better at signing than saying.

Ranz looked sort of embarrassed, unsure what to say to her obvious lack of knowledge of the English language..

"I can piece together what she's saying pretty well. She doesn't want us to hurt her, because she's a healer, she can help us.." Ranz looked at the strange man.. "What's the deal here, we haven't even introduced ourselves.. I'm Ranz." he offered his hand to shake..

Ranz dropped his hand after shaking.. rubbing his hand after that strange feeling.. "Your... part reptilian?"

Ranz gave him a wary glare.. and regretted unloading his gun.. I'm nearly defenseless against a Wyvern.. not to mention this.. man..thing knows the forest better then anyone.. this is definitely not my day..

Ranz nodded.. and lifted the shivering scaly mass, and moved toward Sucki.. "Can you get my gun.. you can load it, but shoot me and I swear you'll be nothing but ashes.. I'll follow you."

Mizumi nodded to the signing question. 'I can sign better than I can speak. I have no where to go. I'm looking for a safe place. Hopefully...' she paused before signing again. 'somewhere warm... Cold is no good for me. I'm fire based.' She leant into Ranz's body warmth, her silvery eyes glowing slightly. It had always been strange for a fire-based dragon to have silver eyes, usually they had golden yellow eyes to match. 'Do you know of a good place?'

Mizumi scented some edible leaves and moved out of Ranz's arms. 'Food' she signed. She knelt over to pluck them and scooped some water from a nearby river. She grabbed some mushrooms and dug a few roots out with a claw before puuting all of the ingredients before the fire. She took out a large pot and shifted the rocks to prop the pot on top of the fire. She poured the water inside and waited for it to boil.

(i mentioned in her profile that she carries a pouch. I also said that 'she took it out'. Wyvern pouches are obviously bigger than human sized ones.)
