Hi, I'm not really sure if this is the best place to post questions but i couldn't find the proper avenue to ask this...

Is anyone out there a fan of gamebooks? like, jumping from chapter to chapter depending on the choices you make? I've been thinking for some time about the feasibility of it (and also the novelty factor since there aren't too many authors doing this line) but i can't find a way in which fp chapter uploads woud make this feasible, unless i'm missing something.

perhaps the vets on this site knows slightly more about the functionality of the way we can organize the chapters... i'm not sure..

well, i'd like to hear the opinions of others, anyway, if that's possible =)

This is a question that you could have probably posted at the Questions thread, which is flagged so it stays at the top of the forum. You can post any and all questions there, or something like this could also be discussed in a less formal thread, which is the Lounge or Shootin' Pool, Shootin' the Breeze (the Poolhouse).

That being said, I have never heard of gamebooks, and I don't know how plausible something like that would be on a site like this. The admin aren't very good at keeping this site as updated as the fanfic site, so I don't know if there is a way to do it, unless if you manually instructed the reader to go to "this chapter for this choice" or "that chapter for that choice."

You mean like a choose-your-own-ending story?

I don't see why you couldn't do a story like that, though I think if you wanted to post it on the site, you'd have to do it all at once instead of posting the chapters as you write then.
