A large hall filled with numerous big oaken tables for everyone to eat at. There's a table against the end of the hall for the Duke and his family and his special guests.

Count de Puebla entered the hall with his wife on his arm, with their son a few steps ahead. The three of them were dressed for the occasion, Isabella in her black velvet gown with gold embroidery and diamonds on her neck. Fernandez was in a fine waistcoat parallel to his father's, the two looking quite fine.

A bit behind, Catalina peered into the dining hall and tucked some of her hair back behind her ears. Her red-and-silver dress certainly stood out from the dark blues and blacks of her family.

Julianna Langely was modestly filling the mug of a feast attender when a noble family entered the room. Wrinkling her nose, she glanced half-curiously up at them, then continued on her merry way, filling mugs only half-full and kicking the legs of chairs out from under those who were leaning back in them.

Adrianna came in on her husband's arm followed by Edward with Elise on his arm and Robert followed along behind. The Black Knight smiled and nodded his head to his guests as the majority of them stood when he and his family arrived. He led his wife and children to their table and seated Adrianna before waving the Count and his family over to their table and sitting down himself. Edward pulled out the chair for his sister and held one out for Catalina as well. After all of the other guests were seated, Edward bowed to his father and sat.

Julianna stifled a yawn at the show of bravado and chivalry. Everyone knew that sort of thing was fake. If only it weren't, though, she thought with a sigh, and her mind wandered until a sharp cuff knocked her to the ground. Apologizing half-heartedly to the guest she'd spilled ale on, she climbed slowly back to her feet and went about her work.

Catalina smiled an nodded her head politely to Edward.

"Thank you." she said quietly as she sat perfectly straight in her chair, just as her mother taught her.

Isabella smiled at the Duchess and looked over at her son, who seemed captivated by the formality and regal atmosphere of the castle. The count chuckled.

Julianna continued to fill mugs, rubbing at her now-aching jaw...

((Being the only servant is boring. :P))

((hey, you two, cut back on the chatting please!))

The food was brought in then and served to the main table first before being brought out to all the other tables. Once the Duke took a bite of food, the rest of his family and all of the guests started eating as well.

((Sorreh))

Catalina savoured her dinner, having missed the taste of well-roasted beef and good vegetables. She ate with simple grace and politeness, like her mother and father. Fernandez, only five and hungry all the time, wasn't so graceful with his manners.

((Fom Lady Abigail's Room))

When Lady Abigail entered the Dining Hall, she felt very out of place as she didn't really have any really formal wear.

Isabella scolded her son, telling him to be proper like his sister. He shot Catalina a glare, but kindly obeyed. She kept her eyes on her plate and her ears trained for what her father would say to the Duke. She had her suspicions as to why her father would choose to stay here instead of search for a small manor or something.

Lady Abigail looked over at Isabella scolding her son and walked on over.

"I see you have children," she said, "What would their names be? My undersized brother is going to be a father soon and he might want to know what to expect."

Isabella looked up and smiled.

"Good evening, ma'am." she said politely, thinking this woman was a servant. "This here is Fernandez, and I am Isabella de Puebla."

The little boy looked up at the woman, and then looked back down at his dinner.

Lady Abigail smiled politely and asked, "Mind if I sit somewhere nearby?"

Isabella glanced around, and was uncertain. She didn't know if it would be rude to invite another person to the table if it was the Duke's job. Back in Spain, the Countess had allowed anyone to join them at their long table.

"Perhaps you should ask the Duchess." she said with a smile. "But I would be honored to have you sit with us."

((Since I don't know where the duchess is...))

"Alright, I'll sit with you," smiled Abigail, taking a seat nearby Isabella.

The Duchess looked to Isabella. "Forgive me for being forgetful, but, how old are your children now?" she asked quietly.

Isabella smiled.

"Catalina is sixteen years of age, while Fernandez is but twelve." she said kindly. "And your children, forgive my own forgetfulness?"

Adrianna glanced over at her children with a smile before looking back at Isabella. "My eldest son, Edward, is nineteen, my only daughter ,Elise, is just turned thirteen, and Robert, my youngest, is ten."

"I think children are just wonderful," said Lady Abigail, overhearing the conversation, "Hopefully, my brother's wife will have a safe child bearing."

"My children are a great blessing." Isabella said proudly. "I'll keep your brother's wife in my prayers, Miss Abigail."

She continued eating.

Catalina was having a hard time with her food. It was all so unfamiliar, and the flavours danced strangely on her tongue. She wouldn't want to disappoint the Duke and the Duchess, and ate well.

"Thank you," Lady Abigail said to Isabella, nodding her head slightly before starting to eat some of the fod set before her. "Hey, not bad," she said when she felt the flavors and textures on her tongue.

((From the Courtyard))

Daeya looked around warily, though she attempted not to show it. There were so many men around and she was not used to it, let alone the mass of people that were around in themselves- she was not used to that either. The dinning hall was as grand as the main hall they had passed through had been. She wondered if all of the castle belonging to the Black Knight was this way.

She hesitated at the door and eyed the oaken tables slowly filling with people. Perhaps she could find a seat away from them without appearing rude. She did wish to speak with the knight, however...

Hugh entered the dinning hall and let out a contented sound.A place truly fit for a king he thought.

He spotted Daeya. He did not know who this woman was but she looked as out-of place as he,so he decided to introduce himself.

"Good day ma'lady"He said with a self-mocking tone"I gather from your wary expression that you are new here?"He smiled "As am I"

A maid approached the two new arrivals and held out a bowl of water first to Daeya. "It's for your hands, milady." she explained quietly, not wanting to interrupt or distract from the conversations at the table.

Edward glanced up, noting the two strangers and he looked them both over. The mysterious young woman, scarcely more than a girl she seemed to him, looked more than a bit lost and Edward wondered if the man with her knew her.

"Good day ma'lady"He said with a self-mocking tone"I gather from your wary expression that you are new here?" He smiled "As am I"

Daeya jumped a little then composed herself, offering a small, polite smile.

"Good day." she inclined her head towards him, "I am afraid that is so... Am I so obvious?" she questioned with a soft chuckle.

A maid approached the two new arrivals and held out a bowl of water first to Daeya. "It's for your hands, milady."

"Thankyou." she dipped her fingers in the bowl with a nod to the girl. She turned back to the newcomer who had introduced himself, "Have you been here long?" she enquired politely.
