Hey, I'm Melanie. I don't normally write just romance, it's usually mixed in with other things. I like unique characters and experimenting with new things and making conflicts. I go to a school for writing and I love writing reviews. I guess I've lurked around here for a while but really haven't gotten an account until a few days ago. I am a romantic at heart when it comes to my own life. My first story I'm putting on here is basically a story where I tried to make every single cliche not so annoying and I was also trying to see how many people would read it when it's so regular and cliche. My second story I'm writing for this site is so much different and I'm excited about it.

My name is Kendra, and I admit to being a hopeless romantic. Currently I have not uploaded any of my romance stories onto fictionpress {I really have to get around to that.} but a new one pops into my head just about every day. Let's just say that I don't get along with other girls and since all of my friends are guys... Sigh.

But, like I said. Hello. I was wondering, do any of you have anything against the cliche romantic plots? Even though I usually hate reading them I can't help writing them. Sigh. What is your opinion on it?

I'm new to fiction press, and don't have anything posted yet because I'm a bum (that's the only excuse I got. D:) and will write just about anything that seems mildly entertaining to me at the time, which is quite a lot of weird stuff. x)

To answer the person above me; I love cliche plots. I'd never admit it in person, but as long as they're well written, I am an absolute sucker for them. x) What can I say? I like happy endings, and I like knowing that a happy ending is coming. Since happy endings don't usually appear in my own work, I feed off them everywhere else. Heh.

I'm 14, you can tell approximately how long I've been on fictionpress judging by the icon next to my name. My first story dates back to January of 2009

I like writing from the perspective of antagonists (or characters who would typically be used as antagonists) who fall in love. This is partially because I like the idea that love is for everyone (even the power-mad and selfish types.) Although I don't think this is true in real life. Another reason I write about antagonists is because I think it ensures that I end up with complex, balanced characters. You see, they're clearly not perfect, but since they're in love they can't be all bad, although they normally don't end up swapping sides or anything.

Another weird fact about me is that I don't tend to write my chapters in order. First I plan out the skeleton of my story, then I tend to write the parts I feel like writing at the time. This makes it easy for me to get my stories finished, but I don't post them in order.

I love feedback, especially since I'm considering writing as a serious career for when I'm older. I figured I'd practise while I was young, so tell me what you think of my skills. I tend to response well to specific criticism/praise. Don't just say you liked it, tell me why you liked it.

Hello there, my name is Ariana, I am fifteen. I write in my spare time when the normal teen is probably watching TV but unfortunately I tend to give up on my stories because I think the plot is overdone, boring, stupid or whatever other reason. After the initial hype of the first spark of inspiration that little thing in my mind called my inner critic starts talking and it is truly evil which is why I do not have any thing posted yet. I am trying harder and getting better to tone down that condescending voice. (You can not simply get rid of it or else you'd be writing literally gibberish.)

I love romance that is not overly smutty, drama of nearly any sort, and horror mostly. And I love characters with odd quirks whether they be dark or cheery. I guess you could say I live in my own little world as I find myself daydreaming very often though my family and friends thinks it is just my music is simply too loud (My headphones are usually always in my ears.) I do have a fondness for older books such as Jane Eyre and The Phantom of the Opera while many others go crazy over the, in my opinion, horrid Twilight series. Am I strange? Yes. Do I care? Not at all.

I don't think you're strange. Maybe it's because I am. It seems most people here aren't Twilight fans, wonder why. Perhaps we're all strange or we all have decent taste? Who knows.

personally, im not big on twilight, the book Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater is better than twilight anyway (yes i have actaully read twilight) Shiver blows twilight out of the water!
