He kissed her neck, "Ok."

"I'm going to get some breakfast," she said getting up, "I'll be right back."

He nodded and waited.

Claire stayed just outside the cave, and picked berries from a bush not too far away before carrying them back down to Donnie and placing some by his side on the blanket. "We don't have a lot of money," she explained, "So we will just have to make do with what we have."

"Once I'm better I can find work.."

"That would be very helpful," Clarie replied smiling at him, "But you are not doing that until I give the ok."

"Well I hate doing nothing," he grummbled.

"You're hurt, you can't do anything so don't worry about it," Claire smiled, "I'll do everything until you have had time to heal up. Don't worry about a thing!"

"I don't diserve you."

"Yes you do," Claire told him, "But will you just promise me one thing?"

"Anything."

"When you are well enough promise me that you will give me a child."

"Should we marry frist?"

She shook her head, "I just want a baby Donnie, there's time to get married afterwards. Please just promise me! After all I'm doing surely it is the least you can do!"

"Well,,Would a make a good father?"

"I'm sure that you would make a good father dear!"

"We can have as many babbies as you want."

"OH thank you!" Claire said brightly, "You had better not back out on that one!"

"If I did you'd slap me silly," he teased.

"You've got that one right," Claire said.

He grinned and hugged her.

She pulled away quickly. "I don't want to hurt you," she explained.

"I'm wounded not dyin'."

"But wounds hurt, Donnie," she said, "And you were shot in the chest."

"Just kiss me then."

Claire kissed him briefly on the lips. "Surely you are in pain right now," she said softly, "If you say you aren't I won't believe you!"

"Very sore."

She smiled, "Can you lay on your side? I'll rub your back for you."

He rolled on his back.

Kneeling beside him Claire rubbed in carefully making small circles along the center of his back. "How does that feel?"
