"What?" he asked, touching her face

She gave him a shy smile.

"Can you drive me out to Richmond?" she asked. "If I get the job?"

"Of crouse," he grinned.

"And drive me back on Fridays?"

Being alone with Lilly mad him smile. "Sure."

She smiled.

"It gets pretty chilly in the winter." she said with a giggle.

"I can come and keep you warm.."

She laughed.

"I would hope so."

Lily sighed as she brought out her last suitcase to the porch.

"I'll really miss you, Ma." she said, trying to keep tears from coming.

"Aw." Mary said, hugging her daughter. "You'll be just fine. Auggie will bring you home for supper on Friday."

"Ready?" he asked taking her hand.

(Sam and Kate?)

"Just a moment." she sighed, going back in to find her father.

Lily's Ma walked up to him.

"Don't hit any bumps in the road, alright?"

"I won't,' he grinned.

Lily came back and put on her new hat.

"OK." she said, biting her lip and coming out. "I'm ready."

Taking her hand, he climbed into the cart.

Lily glanced over her shoulder, waving goodbye while holding onto her hat.

They started down the road

(Plot away, the taxi service won't pick up.)

Lily sighed.

"I'll miss them terribly."

"They'll miss you, I'll miss you."

She smiled at him.

"I'll miss you too, Auggie."

He gave her a kiss on the cheek.

She smiled and put her head on his shoulder.

"It's a long drive." she reminded him.

"Anything for you."

(Plot bunny: another teacher at the school - older, creepy dude - starts liking Lily. Naive little thing thinks he's just being friendly.)

She chuckled.

"Anything."

"You might be a pedophile!"

"Anything."

(XD pretty much.)

She grinned.

"Would you come in the middle of the week?" she said.

"Of crose!"

"Will you write to me?" she asked. "Every day?"

He smiled. "Look, Lilly, I am yours."

"And I you." she smiled back. "I supppose I'm just nervous is all."
