Five-year-old Sarah peered into her mother's room and smiled, seeing her still asleep.

"Mommy," she whispered sweetly. "Mommy, wake up."

Aliyah opened her eyes and smiled at her blond-haired blue-eyed daughter.

"Morning, sweetheart."

Bruke groaned. "You got Momie's gean for waking up at six," he smiled. "Happy birthday, love."

Sarah giggled and hopped onto the bed, grinning brightly.

"Happy birthday, mommy!" she said sweetly.

"Thank you, sweetie." Aliyah said, kissing Sarah's forehead and then Burke's lips. "I'm surprised you remembered."

"How could I forget?"

Aliyah chuckled.

"You missed it the first year. But I don't think it counts."

“Sorry,” he mumbled.

"Wasn't your fault." she smiled. "I wasn't exactly watching the calendar either back then."

Sarah stared at them confusedly.

He put Sarah in his lap and chuckled.

She giggled.

"Daddy!" she called. "Didn't you get her a present?"

"Let's let Mama wake up first."

"Love, I've been up since six." she grinned.

"Yay!" Sarah clapped.

"You can give her yours now, sweetheart,' he told Sara

"Okay!" she said, leaping off the bed and running back to her room.

"Still a bundle of energy." Aliyah laughed.

"Just like her mother," he said touching her face,

Sarah came running back in and held out a macaroni necklace.

"I made it just for you!" she said proudly.

Bruke smiled.

((Seriously man... write a fuckin' novel and end it like that. I would pay huge bucks.))

"It's beautiful Sarah!" Aliyah said with a smile and a hug. "Thank you sweetheart."

A young boy peered in the door apprehensively. Well, he wasn't much of a boy anymore. Almost as tall as Burke and just as handsome, Levi was now seventeen and still a momma's boy.

"Morning."

"Morning Dad." he said. "Sarah dragged me in so if you two were doing stuff..."

Aliyah laughed.

"Levi, come here." she said with outstretched arms. "I've missed you."

"Mom, I'm just down the hall." he laughed as he hugged her.

"That's why I'm sending you your great uncles tonight."

"Uncle Albert?" Levi asked, his eyes brightening. "Really?"

Aliyah chuckled.

"Still a little boy, aren't you?"

"Really."

"Yay!" he celebrated with deliberate immaturity.

Sarah smiled.

"Can I come too?"

"Its both of you."
