![]() A pretty plot of land where one may walk peacefully along the gravel paths and enjoy nature away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of London. But also a rather dangerous place to find ones' self alone at night. 12/03/2008 #1 |
![]() Kitty kept her art folder securley tucked under her left arm as she walked through the park that morning. She took a completely new rout today- one that started on the oposite side of the park from where she normally began. There was a duck pond to her right where three swans drifted by lazily. The birds overhead chirmed unconcernedly and the breeze rustling the grass almost seemed to be saying, "What are you so afriad of? Everything is perfectly safe!" She almost believed it, too... until she heard a familiar step behind her in the gravel path, matching her pace. She stopped. The feet stopped. She went again and so did the feet. She glanced warilly over her shoulder and, sure enough, there was her stalker, wearing his black hat low, as usual. Kitty's head instantly turned back to the path ahead, where several paths crossed. Many people passed through that way, and she hoped that the publicity would comfort her. She continued toward this place and sat at a bench that overlooked the duck pond before pulling out her sketch book and pencils and begining to form the basic shapes of the pond and swans. Her mind, however, payed very close attention when the dark-hatted stranger sat down a few yards away, watching her intently. 12/12/2008 #2 |
![]() ((Ha ha RM, you think you know who's stalking Kitty, huh? Well, guess again! This is a mystery RP, and I intend on making it that. It is your job to figure out who is the real killer!!!!)) 12/16/2008 #3 |
![]() ((*Grumbles* Well fine, then.)) 12/16/2008 #4 |
![]() ((You know you like it! *Dances and starts to annoyingly poke RM* And no talking in the RP threads!!!!)) Dagger looked up at Kitty under his tophat. Maybe he would see where the stalker was coming from. Maybe. He stood up and walked toward the pond. With his gloved hand he picked up a flower and sniffed it whiile watching Kitty. Maybe she would reveal something that could lead Dagger to the stalker. Maybe even the killer, if they weren't the same person. 12/16/2008 #5 |
![]() ((*Death glare*)) Feeling even more discomfort when the stranger moved closer to her, Kitty gathered her things and stood before walking briskly in the opposite direction of the man. 12/16/2008 #6 |
![]() ((I ain't scared of you. *Jumps behind rock* Okay, sorry!!!!)) Dagger started to follow Kitty. 12/16/2008 #7 |
![]() ((That's right, you better hide!)) Kitty listened to the footsteps of her pursuer as she left the park boundaries, hoping to lose him in the streets. 12/16/2008 #8 |
![]() ((*Offers flower*)) Dagger followed Kitty into the street, narrowly avoiding a carriage. 12/16/2008 #9 |
![]() ((*Frowns at flower silently* *Accepts grudgingly* To the streets!)) 12/16/2008 #10 |
![]() Anastasia walked along the park, watching a few others pass by. She thought of all the possible things she could do today. She tucked a curl up into her hat and sighed. (not a very good first post...) 12/20/2008 #11 |
![]() ((From the Streets)) "I'm not exactly a forgetful person," Kitty said with a secretive smile. Those who knew her knew that she couldn't forget details if she tried, and often teased her about it. "If I ever noticed anything, I haven't forgotten it." 12/25/2008 #12 |
![]() "Where were you when you realized that you were being followed?" Dagger asked. 12/25/2008 #13 |
![]() "Well... I can't say exactly. The realization didn't come all at once. The first time I noticed the man was on the other side of the park, near the copper statue of Laurence DeGent." She pointed in the direction. "But he may have started following me before then and I just wasn't paying attention." 12/25/2008 #14 |
![]() "Hmm." Dagger said, remembering his pursuit of Kitty. 12/25/2008 #15 |
![]() Kitty waited for Mr. Powell to say more, but when he didn't she decided to go on. "It was on the third day after I first noticed him that the idea formed in my head of his following me. As you can imagine, I tried to banish the thought immediately, but every day after that the idea continued to grow stronger until it would have been incredibly stupid of me to doubt that it was true." She held her breath for a moment before admitting hesitantly, "He's been getting bolder. Today he followed me beyond the boundaries of the park." 12/25/2008 #16 |
![]() "It seems that you are not safe alone." Dagger said. "Something must be done about it." He looked down, and changed the subject. "So what were you doing at the detective headquarters?" 12/25/2008 #17 |
![]() "Why do you say that?" Kitty asked, ignoring his question for the moment. 12/25/2008 #18 |
![]() "Because if he is getting bolder, then what could he do next?" 12/25/2008 #19 |
![]() "What I meant was, how do you know that he means to do me harm? Other men have followed me before- never so consistently or for so long, surely, but... what makes you think that he is not merely an obsessive suitor who hasn't the nerve to introduce himself?" Kitty posed the question merely to understand Mr. Powell's thoughts on what information he knew. One could usually sense when danger was present, and Kitty was certain that her stalker was not one with innocent intentions. That was why she'd gone to the police in the first place. But Mr. Powell had never been with her while she was being followed, she assumed, and so she wondered what it was in her account that could have alerted him. 12/25/2008 #20 |
![]() "My dear, stalkers are not normal and they all have the potential of harming their victims." 12/26/2008 #21 |
![]() Kitty pursed her lips, accepting that. "What is it that you propose be done about it?" 12/26/2008 #22 |
![]() "I don't know," Dagger said. "Someone can escort you to and from your home." 12/26/2008 #23 |
![]() Kitty wrinkled her nose at the idea. "Do you really think that's necissary, Mr. Powell? I am perfectly capable of defending myself. Suppose I was careful to remain in public?" 12/27/2008 #24 |
![]() "I suppose." Dagger said. 12/27/2008 #25 |
![]() "Mr. Laraby asked me not to walk through the park for a week. I suppose I'm being rather disaobediant right now." She smiled. 12/27/2008 #26 |
![]() (It's goood to be baaaaaaaaddddd...) "It's quite alright." Dagger said. "You're with me, remember?" (Guess this movie line, RM: "Yo, Adrian!") 12/27/2008 #27 |
![]() Kitty sent Mr. Powell a suspicious sidelong glance. "To be honest, I'm still not entirely convinced that I'm any safer with you than I would be with the man who follows me." ((Rocky?)) 12/27/2008 #28 |
![]() Dagger stopped. "Fine. Since you're not safe with me, then I will just leave." He turned and walked away. ((Correct! Alright: "I can tape all your buns together.")) 12/27/2008 #29 |
![]() Kitty's eyes widened and she watched Mr. Powell leave in surprise. Did his reaction mean that he really wasn't safe? Or had he spoken sarcastically out of offence? Either way, she didn't want to be left alone in the park after what had happened that morning, so she turned back the way she'd come to return home. ((No, no! It's my turn now! "Play it, Sam.")) 12/27/2008 #30 |
