Time to play "Let's pick an avi for GB"! Today's contenders are Arylan, Lana, Azrael, Lira, Jean, Mezzik, Robyn, Janlarek, or "other".

Most of you have seen these characters in avi format on IM. Tell me which you'd prefer of the pics you've seen, or if you'd rather I drew up a new one for the forums. Since it's such a pain for me to upload, this is going to stick around for a long while.

I'm looking for a new good guy in quest 11 now. SG has dropped her character who was our leading good-faction player. RS is considering a new character to fill in the role, but she's a little reluctant, and if anyone else wants the role it's open.

For those of you who don't know, quest 11 is about a necromancer attempting to take over the kingdom.

We have three "factions" currently. one is the necromancer trying to take over the kingdom from without, the next is a noble house that will attempt to usurp the kingdom from within, the final one would be the loyalists who want to preserve the kingdom as it is.

Any good character would probably have to be a noble of some kind, since they need to have enough influence to matter on large-scale politics. A war-hero or something else along those lines might also work. If you want to RP something where you can play politics and control a whole army, this is it.

One warning though, this quest is very dark. It's not for jokers or light-of-heart. If you're still interested, please let me know.

Don't worry MW I intend to somehow fill in the "loyal hero" role...I just need to think about it more. But first I have to catch up, lol. If the quest could slow down a bit I might find an opportuinity to enter again.

MW... I would be interested in filling this role for your quest... the only thing is as you know I only get online a few times a week, so I might slow down your quest a bit too much... I know this one is moving rather fast sometimes. :)

Anyway I would like to put a charater into play who is perhaps a high ranking officer in the military (that could also be a noble) or perhaps the head of some rather influental house... the lord of some peace of land or something, that would give him enough polotical influance to cover what you want from him in the game as well as give enough "power and title" to him to actually be able to have/controll an army of his own. In the case of the latter I might even be inclined to RP mutipul charaters (i.e. the major heads of the house hold... husband, wife, eldest son, or some such thing).

Oh, AND... happy birthday to me! (Almost, LOL... I'm turning 23 on the 28th of this month, lol... and I actually have a babysitter for once! Marjorie is going out to party and cause trouble for her birthday!WOOT, lol.) Anyway that means that I entend to not be sober (or here) on the 28th and 29th and I entend to be totally hung over (and again not here) on the 1st and 2nd of next month. Just a heads up so don't expect any posts from me during that time. ;) LOL

That would work perfectly. GB already runs a Husband/Wife combo who are leading the usurper faction (not that anyone knows that yet.) The kingdom has turned out to be a bit Feudal in its workings. The king has a royal guard of about 1200 men, all veterans with the best equipment and training. The other lords have around that number of soldiers each, so if the King wants an army he has to get the nobles to call their troops together.

There's plenty of slots open for major nobles. The only established families so far are the Darinsells, who control one of the largest provinces farther from the city; and the Hamiltons, who control much of the city itself. Or you could do some sort of military officer who's a step down from the top lords.

RS is considering doing the Captain of the king's guard and his wife. It sounds like she's going to do it, but you could use that opening if she doesn't.

Timing wise, As long as you can keep it reasonable and consistent (glances at SG) I won't mind the slowdown too much.

so I won't be slowing anything down lol. Ranz's dad was a famous military officer. . . Dorn "Gunna" Doreq (if you wan't me to creat him on this forum so be it. .) But I'd much rather use Ranz. Anyway, I'll join your quest!

Ok. Jade, Satan and Karen arrive on the platform. You have guns with basically rubber bullets against Vampires with guns.

Sounds like a situation that would be best to simply not be in. If I wanted to take out vampires I'd get a nice, big arblaster (that's a crossbow with a metal prong), find a window in a nearby building, and fire away. At least they'd be out in the open on a platform then, while I would be hidden.

Oh, RJW. I'm afraid I don't know much about your writing style or your characters. How would you fit them into the plot line? I tend to go for expansively detailed quests, and 11's a prime example. Can you fit your character into the culture/time period?

Last I saw it was semi-medieval based, with battling noble famlies for control. Pretty sure it's pre-revoloution stuff.

I'm not sure it corresponds directly for a time period. The government system is Feudal and technology is middle-aged, but the artistic style and some of the culture is almost Victorian. I'd suggest you read some of it, see if you can get a feel for it. Reading it is probably a good idea anyways because there's lots of little details that have turned out to be really important.

Yes, but asking for avatars from an artist like that is just plain rude. Espically with out compliments. Your asking her to put down hours of time (maybe more if her interpitation doesn't fit and you say, "lol do it again") for someone who dosn't even pay attention to the rules, when I havn't even seen her offer to do so. When you even have the avatar, your most likely not going to use it long before asking for another.

GB is a nice gal, she probably won't complain or take much offense to this. I, on the otherhand, can become quite the pain over some fairly trivial matters. I didn't even ask her if she'd mind if I put this down. This is mostly me expressing my opinion of these actions.

I have spent about 2 days trying to draw this avi right. .and I always end up making it looking like some sort of scribble. . . I'm sorry if I did some disgrace to Girlbrainiac, and I am sorry.

if you read our RP you'll realize their in love. .(kinda rambling aren't I?) I was really hoping she could make an avatar like Rose's. .however with Rose and Ranz, instead of the two characters in her Avatar. . .

And, RJW, I don't draw characters I'm not very well acquainted with and can't get the feel of or visualize. Most of my characters I've known for years so I could probably sketch one out in about ten minutes. Characters of other people are a lot harder because someone else has the visual and I'm trying to match it. I only offered to do a Satan pic for Ferrett because I've known him and his character for quite a while now and I CAN picture Satan. So, sorry, but I'm probably not going to draw one up for you. I have an English essay to work on instead.

Yeah, but in her eyes it will still be there, adding taint to the already tainted. It's bad enough for one so devoted to the natural order that she's undead. Now on top of it all, she'll lose her fundamentally human form as well, even if it is only on occasion.

She thinks SATAN is wonderful and kind and caring. She thinks the GARGOYLE is an unnatural and evil creature bent on her destruction and the slaughter of innocents. She differentiates between the two just as much as she differentiates between the two parts of herself (though really she's just a fractured soul with both parts stuck in one body). Her opinions of Satan have nothing to do with her opinions of the gargoyle.
