"Of course I don't" Morgan said surprised she would think he would care about her race when he was half demon and that wasn't much better, for him anyway.

"That's good." Akemi asked, again she smiled politely before turning the television off, her eyes wandering for a bit before she could finally say something. "What time should we go?"

"Well, I can really go till Mahana gets back, what day this week are you free?" he asked

"I don't have a job so I'm always free." Akemi admitted, even though it was somewhat obvious. The job thing was true, it was impossible to get a job without her biting at someone's neck first.

"Is Friday night alright then?" he asked, still surprised she even wanted to go on a date with him but he didn't mention that

Akemi thought about it teasingly, crossing her arms and pretending like she had a tight schedule that day. In the end, she looked up at him and nodded. "I think I can squeeze that in." She said teasingly, but soon she went into her honest side. "I'm kidding...friday night is perfect. Since you asked me out though, you have to take me somewhere...so I can't show you around because I have to pretend I don't know whats going to happen." The second half of the thing she was teasing on about, but besides that anywhere would suit her well.

Morgan smiled "Well at least I have a few days to figure out where to go then" he said teasing, though he meant it also.

((skipping to Friday))

As Friday rolled around Morgan had decided on a place to go, he had told Akemi to dress nice and be prepared for a bit of a drive, other then that he would tell her nothing.

Friday morning Mahana was up early and ready to go before anyone else was, so she decided to make breakfast to give Akemi a break. She hoped everyone liked french toast

Akemi woke up at her usual time, now that friday came around she was already under stress. There was only one reason why, she had nothing nice to work, all her clothes seemed either casual or showed off too much skin. She felt the need to head over to the clothes shop but at the same time it might be a little too late. "Wait..he won't know...I'll just slip away and come back as if I was never got." She said and got some money from her drawer, turning into the nightwalker side and leaping out of the window. She then leaped over to the shop within seconds, making it into an alleyway and turning back to normal. She was lucky she got some blood last night, otherwise she would have been in terrible shape for the date.

Xion woke up and got himself ready, heading downstairs without thinking if someone was up or not. He began heading into the kitchen, sensing the smell of french toast and thought it was Akemi again who was up. By surprise he found it was Mahana, quickly he smiled politely and went over to her slowly. "Morning..need some help?"

Morgan had only one set of nice cloths, just a black suit and tie with dress shoes, but he wouldn't put that on till later. Smelling breakfast cooking he decided to go see if Akemi needed some help, assuming it was her of course.

When he came into the kitchen he was surprised to see it was Mahana

Mahana looked up as he spoke "If you want to set the table" she said with a smile.

Akemi entered the clothing store and began looking for something nice to wear. Eventually and at the back of the store, she found a shock black dress, checking to see if it fit her by placing it in front of her. It looked like he actually fits her, but she tried the dressing room anyways; after seeing it did fit her, she purchased the dress and went back home the same way she went to the store. Upon making it back to her room, she placed the dress away and went on downstairs due to the smell of french toast. "Wonder whose cooking.."

Before Akemi came, Xion nodded to Mahana's reply and began getting the table ready. He noticed Morgan coming in and decided to give him a word or two, "I was just as surprised.." He whispered as he set the table, in which case he did and now awaiting for the breakfast.

Morgan smiled before getting the butter and syrup out and put them on the table too.

before long Mahana had the french toast ready, putting them all on one plate she set them on the table "Where's Akemi?"

"Right here." Akemi announced in a casual voice, she was in her morning clothes and acted as if she just woke up. Not being lazy or sleepy, but her appearance made it seem that way. "Morning everyone...by the way, thanks for cooking this morning Mahana." She said and sat down to see the french toast ready.

Xion sat down at well once things were ready, but he heard his watch sounding the alarm off and remembering why. "I'm heading to the weapon's shop after breakfast, have to work to keep food on our plates." He said and turned the alarm off, taking a french toast and placed it on his plate but let the others place the butter and syrup first. "If you like Mahana I can get you a job there."

Mahana smiled at Akemi "I thought you might like a break" she said before she got her share of breakfast. She then looked at Xion to answer him. "No, that's alright, Amar and Haydar are keeping me plenty busy"

Morgan listened to the conversation before he spoke "Should I call up Zahanalay and Raven? since it looks like you might be here alone for awhile?" he asked, since Akemi and him where going out and they would have to leave before long to get where he was taking her. "No, I'll call them if I need anything" she assured him.

"That's nice of you, thanks again." Akemi said, she really felt greatful there was a distraction for her to get the dress she needed. Now she moved on to breakfast, letting the others talked until she choked when Morgan mentioned them going out. She did not have any food in her mouth luckly, but she still felt her throat stopping itself from swallowing for only a few seconds.

"Well it was worth a try, but I understand. I'm gone all morning and some of the afternoon, then close up shop and come home. I should be back way before the evening." Xion said to them, Akemi already knew his schedule but as for the other two it was just to let them know. "Your welcomed to leave the house and walk with the kids whenever you like Mahana, just as long as your careful." He said with a smile as he ate his french toast, now catching what Morgan meant about him and his cousin going out. He did not know what he meant completely, but guessed it was to hang out. "Hope you two have a good time by the way."

Mahana just nodded to Xion not wanting to talk with her mouth full. After a moment she spoke "Where are you two going anyway?" she asked glancing between the two "That's a surprise" Morgan said simply

"I like surprises, but I always hated being patient...on some occasions anyways." Akemi said with a casual smile right after that, eating some more of her french toast. She only wondered where Morgan was taking her though, however she had to give in to her weakness for now.

Morgan smirked "You will only have to be patient for a few more hours" he said as he finished eating

"Oh, so Morgan is treating me like a father now." Akemi teased, finishing up her breakfast before getting out of her seat and putting her plate into the sink. "Maybe we should take turns cooking in the morning Mahana, your cooking is great." She commented with a smile, beginning to head out of the kitchen and heading upstairs to get herself ready for the first half of the day.

Xion finished his as well, getting out of his seat and putting his plate away as well. He then looked at the other two and gave them a casual smile. "Alright I'll be heading out, take care you two." He said, then tapped Mahana's shoulder lightly and made a quick run for the front door.

Mahana smiled at Akemi's compliment "See you later Xion" she called after him. Morgan stood up and took his and Mahana's dish now that she was finished too. Morgan headed back up to his room to get some work done before they would be going out.

Mahana sighed as she got up and cleaned everything else up, the morning seemed to quiet but of course it would, Zahanalay had taken the boys last night and was keeping them overnight so Mahana could get a good nights rest. She knew Zahanalay would be bringing them back before long though.

Akemi got herself ready now, but needed to head on back downstairs and do some cleaning. For now she decided to make sure everything looked alright, hating the house looking like a mess. She was still thinking about where Morgan was taking her, it really kept getting to her every few seconds.

Xion made it to the shop quickly, opening it up and beginning business as usual. Only a few people showed up and waited, all their orders were ready and he took care of those, but now he needed to wait for all the others to show up, knowing it was going to be a long day.

After cleaning up in the kitchen Mahana headed back up to her room, maybe she could get some reading in or something while she waited for Zahanalay to come back with the kids.

((I'm going to skip on ahead.))

After the hours of the shop being opened came to an end, Xion closed up the shop and headed on home. He did get plenty of people as usual, but now he only wanted to worry about getting home. Upon getting to the house, he opened the door and walked inside, not hearing a single person around. "I'm back!" He said but not too loud in case someone was here, for now heading upstairs to put things away in his room.

Akemi had fallen asleep after doing plenty of cleaning, forgetting completely about the date at this point. When she woke up though, she looked at the clock in her room, eyes widen as she quickly got up and realized it was almost that time. "AHHH! I can't believe I overslept! I'm not even ready yet!" She said somewhat in a panic like most girls would do if they were about to be late for something. She had no time to waste so she left her room and headed straight for the bathroom to get cleaned up.

Mahana had fallen asleep as well after after she had put the boy's down for a nap, though she hadn't even gotten out of the room she was curled up on the bed with her sons nestled up against her.

Morgan was nearly ready to go, but he decided to give Akemi more time to get ready as he only just heard her head to the bathroom.

Xion chuckled softly when he did hear Akemi, then shook his head as he took his shirt off and laid down on his bed slowly. "She can be quite a handful." He said to himself, deciding to get some rest and only thinking that the others were asleep.

Akemi got herself ready quickly, but also making sure he looked her best. Her hair was the biggest issue though, once she got out of the bathroom and rushed to her room again and began to look for the necessary things needed. After all that mess was taken cared of at last, she had one final look at the mirrior before leaving the room. "I just hope this short dress is appropriate." She said softly, finally coming out of her room and entering the hallway to wait on Morgan now.

Morgan had been waiting and when he heard her comment he stepped out of his room, he looked at her and smiled "It's perfect" he said "Shall we then?"

Mahana, the light sleeper that she was, woke when people started stirring in the house again. Quickly realizing where she was she slipped off the bed and exited the room closing the door silently.

She stopped when she saw the two "You two look nice"

"Hehe...I haven't dressed like this in ages, so that's why." Akemi admitted, her ears twitching lightly at the sound of a voice. She turned to see Mahana and hearing her compliment, giving her a polite smile and nodded before speaking. "Thank you, and he looks great alright." She winked at her before turning back to Morgan, acting innocent now. "Lets go, I don't think I can afford to stall our date any longer than I already did."

"Have fun!" Xion shouted from his room, then deciding to get some sleep now.

Akemi heard him and smiled, only to wait for Morgan now.

Mahana smiled at them but didn't say anything else.

Morgan led Aemi out to the car that he had rented earlier, he opened the passenger side for her to get in

Akemi followed him outside and got into the rental car, turning at him before he would close the door. "Thank you kind sir." She said with a smile and fastened her seat beat, now waiting for him.

Morgan bowed "Anything for you my lady" he teased before closing the door and getting in the drivers seat "Now let's just hope I don't get lost"

Akemi stuck her tongue out at him for the tease, looking at him when he came into the driver seat and hearing what he said. She could not help but laugh, but covered her mouth to prevent the laugh from getting loud. "Well Morgan...if you get lost, I'll lead you the way back home and we can start over again. But where are we going is what I'm wondering on about."

Morgan smiled but shook his head "Patients in a virtue" he told her before starting up the car and heading down the street.

"Yeah, patience is a virtue my rear." Akemi simply said in a teasing tone, but let him drive her to the destination. She was only imagining it might be a fancy restaurant or maybe some dance club, although the second suggestion was unlikely. She looked at the radio of the vehicle and turned it on, seeing what was there to hear.

Morgan smiled at her "I'm still not telling" he said

It took about an hour to get there, he pulled up in front of a large building, it had no sign as it was apparently someones house, or mansion anyway. There where plenty of other people there. Morgan pulled into a parking space and walked around to Akemi's door and opened it for her.

Akemi decided once more to just wait, eventually arriving at a huge house. She blinked a few times at the appearance, but seeing this and plenty of people had her shocked. How could this possibly be a place for a first date was out of the question, but she did not go against it. Akemi then got out of the car, moving a bit for him to close the door as she took a step forward and looked at the building. "Morgan I...this is...so much.." She turned to him, her face was seriously red at this point and unable to control it. She looked down to force her hair to hide her face, but that was impossible to cover at this point. "Seriously, this is nothing of what I was expecting...its awesome." She admitted, looking up at him as she moved her hair back, her blush fading away now.

Morgan smiled "I'm glad you think that, I was afraid you might not come if I told you where we were going" he admitted sheepishly "But I got and invitation to this and it said to bring a date, and well I had been thinking to ask you out anyway" he explained to her

"Well thank goodness you asked on time, otherwise you might have lost your shot." Akemi teased, but honestly and deep down, she would have waited for him. She would not show or tell him this, this was her first date ever and she did not want to ruin it. "So it is just a normal party or is it for some kind of an event?" She asked curiously, going up to him and wrapping her arm around his like one of the ladies that walked passed them did. "Hope you don't mind, just trying to act casual."

Morgan smiled "Actually its more of a reunion you could say" Morgan said, not sure how else to explain "I don't mind at all" he said then started walking with her to the front entrance. He hoped she would enjoy herself, this was his first date too and he didn't want it ruined

"Reunion? What kind of a reunion? Everytime I hear that word the first thing that comes to my mind is old people in one room trading medications and playing chess." Akemi replied and it was rather both random and in a form of a tease, but this form was not really noticeable. She walked with him into the building now, looking around at the entire first part of the room and already amazed with just this one room. "I love the place already. The people..I might as well try to get along with them."

Morgan smiled "You will get along with them just fine" he assured her. the entry room was large and lit with balls of light that simply floated around above everyone heads. There were a verity of people and races there, but nobody seemed to care. At that moment a waiter, identical to every other waiter, came up to them "Name sir?" Morgan "Morgan Halsten" he told the waiter, they were then led to a table with a tag set on it with Morgan's name, just as Morgan had requested the table was farther away from the others to give them some space.

Morgan pulled out the chair for Akemi before going around to seat himself but before he got that far a very tall man came up to them wearing billowing ornate red and gold robes. Morgan having his back turned in that direction was startled at first to get a hand clapped on his back, in a friendly way, Morgan was almost knocked off balance. Morgan turned to see the tall man "Gahlem?" Morgan seemed surprised to see him. "Morgan my old friend, I'm surprised to see you here, I thought you had abandoned us for good" Gahlem said, it was hard to say if he was teasing or not. "No of course not, I've just been busy" Morgan replied simply "Of course, you always are, but we sure miss you on the council" with that Gahlem went off to great someone else. Morgan took his seat then

Akemi nodded politely, as they did walk and she waited for a table if they had one, she waved at some of the various people who looked at her. Only a few eyes went on her at that time, hoping Morgan has not noticed yet. Either way, she did like it when someone felt jealous. She took her seat once they got to a table reserved for Morgan, then listening to him and an old friend apparently who were having a nice conversation. Once he did took his seat, Akemi watched the man for a bit but then turned her attention back to him. "So you two are old boyfriends or something?" She teased with a innocent smile, almost laughing at her own stupid comment but held it in.

((Hey I'll be at my cousin's for the day, but not the whole day. I'll speak to you when I come back, take care while I'm gone.))

Morgan smirked "Not hardly, we hated each other, We couldn't be in the same room with each other" Morgan shook his head a bit at the memory "Guess it's been long enough now that he doesn't remember me clearly"

"Oh okay. Glad that's all in the past though, right?" Akemi replied with a smile, turning her attention to the people around the big room. She still saw many people standing and talking, others in their own table, but neither of these things bothered her. She turned back to Morgan afterwards and decided to speak once more, "Why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself Morgan? Something about your life or just your interests if that's alright."

"Alright, um, what would you like to know?" Morgan asked not even knowing where to begin

"Well...how about the things I just mentioned? But...how about your interests is something I want to know first." Akemi decided to bring up, wanting to know what he liked and did not like. As she did wait for his answer, she lightly kicked his foot from under the table, but looked at him as if nothing happened.

Morgan thought about his answer before he said anything "Well, I am of course interested in science, medicines, poisons and the like" he paused before going on "I like nature and the arts, Though I'm not at all artistic" Morgan paused again before adding "There's allot of things I'm interested in, it's hard to find something that doesn't interest me"

Akemi nodded with interest, smiling all the way like she was meant to when in a conversation. Once he was done, she thought of her interests and decided to speak. "I always hated science but always loved mathematics. Medicines and poisons...thats not my field, but cooking and chatting is. As for nature, I love it...I really think its a great design by both man and the dude up in the sky the humans believe in. Art...hehe, I am terrible at art, but I can draw stick figures." She said with a casual laugh, but looked over to the crowd yet again. She could had sworn someone was watching her, but thought nothing of it in seconds and turned back to him slowly. "If your interested in a lot of things, that's actually good. I've always liked people who were interested in numerous things, makes the teasing and fun...much better."

Morgan smiled as he listened to her "Well I guess that's one point for me" he teased again "Math is actually a big part of science" he commented before he could say more however he was interrupted "MORGAN!" someone squealed excitedly, before he had time to even turn to see who it was he was knocked off his chair and toppled to the ground as a young girl, about ten or eleven, tackled him. "Morgan I can't believe you came!" the girl said excitedly her arms wrapped firmly around Morgen's neck. Morgan was utterly perplexed obviously not knowing who the girl was, at least not right off. After the girl got off of him and they both got to their feet it was obvious the girl was rather young and probably shouldn't have been there by the looks of it. she had short mousy brown hair and brilliant blue eyes. "You don't remember me do you?" she pouted. Morgan had to think "Ella?" he asked, she grinned and hugged him again. "Who's your friend?" she asked looking at Akemi "Oh, this is Akemi, Akemi this is Ella" he introduced them

Akemi heard the shout as well, and the next thing that occurred made her laugh, feeling like she just watched an anime scene. She got up though to see who this girl was, and when Morgan did introduce her, she nodded with a smile and began to speak. "Its nice to meet you Ella. How do you two know each other?" She asked curiously, really interested in knowing all the sudden. To get back at Morgan though, she turned to him and crossed her arms slowly, "Is she the other girl you see?" She asked teasingly.

before Morgan could even say anything Ella laughed heartily "I ain't seen him in ages, not since I wasss.......... seven maybe" she said then shrugged "Since Morgan isn't bound to remember, we met a long time ago when the black Druid Klain attacked my city" Ella then launched into the rest of the story before Morgan could stop her "Klain was mad at the king cause he wouldn't let em live there, and fer good reason too. So he cast a spell on the city that stopped everyone there from ageing and then he slowly took people out and tortured them ta death. It went on fer years. I was seven fer seven years it was frustrating. Anyway Morgan slipped into the city unnoticed, the king had grown weary of Druids so wouldn't accept Morgans help, so my dad took him in to our home where he made plans to overthrow Klain. It almost worked but in the end Morgan had ta duel Klain. He almost didn't win but he did" Ella explained "The spell Klain left ain't warn off yet so I'm actually about a hundred an five" she added
