Other dangers: Particularly lethal to fire creatures. Will freeze anything it comes into contact with almost instantly. Strength: Otherwise, rather weak, maybe mid strength at most. Taste: ??? Served: In a pewter goblet. Take down two glass bottles, filling the goblet halfway with the first. The beverage explodes momentarily as the second liquid connects to it, loosing a thick cloud of red smoke. Those who don't hold their breath will choke. Sprinkle a trace of salt into the center of the goblet. The outside of the pewter chills and a thin sheet of ice forms at the edges of the drink, while the center boils and catches fire on the surface. Cost: 1 gold, though, because Martes has gotten tired of mixing the things, whoever orders it will have to show him a little more gold to bribe him. |

Silver OpalName: RumfustianRecipe: Beat two egg yolks into a bowl with one teaspoon of sugar. In a saucepan, bring one cup of ale, two ounces of gin, two ounces of sherry, one cinnamon stick, several ground cloves, and one lemon peel to the boiling point. Turn it to a simmer and add the egg mixture. Stir briskly with a whisk. Top with grated nutmeg. Safe for Mortal consumption?: Not really. Other dangers: Very bad for Ice creatures. Lethal in excessive amounts. Anything it gets spilled on catches fire. Strength: Otherwise, rather weak, mid strength at best. Taste: A bit like burnt caramel, also with a spicy hot kick. Served: First grab a ceramic goblet in which is poured some clear liquid to about halfway. To that add ten drops of the Darnakian Dragonsblood, a spoonful of some other spirit, and, last of all, a lump of sugar. There is an explosion of light and the smell of caramel fills the air. Strength: Very strong. Effect wise, that is. The alcoholic version nearly 90 proof but tastes like the non-alcoholic version: an icy mint mixed with incredible heat that consumes the entire body. Very tasty, though. Cost: $3.25 How it is served and what it looks like: There is the sampler, which is served in a shot glass, and the regular, which is served in a normal glass, and the Frosted Volcano, which is served in a serving pitcher. |
