Ok, so this is a thread JUST for posting up some of the exotic drinks that have been introduced on this forum. So that we can keep them all strait and you all can have an easier time looking for them if you are searching for something interesting for your character to order. There should only be one post per drink, though you can list more than one drink per post.

Ingredients: Grapes of wrath, water from the river Styx, the blood of a succubus

Safe for human/mortal consumption: no

Affects: On humans and other mortals – they will go insane and then die, slowly painfully – on non mortals who are not demons, insanity is a likely affect of the water from Styx

Cost: 5 platinum for a mug, a fortune for a bottle, 2 platinum for a wine glass

How it is served and what it looks like: has a reddish tone and smokes

Strength: Not too strong, about mid strength.

Taste: Flowery with a kick.

Served: Smoking in a goblet. Is a clear liquid.

Cost: 5 silver.

Ingredients: Unknown

Who drinks it: Ice creatures, particularly favored by silver dragons

Safe for Mortal consumption?: No. Will freeze the insides of anyone that tries to drink it.

Other dangers: Particularly lethal to fire creatures. Will freeze anything it comes into contact with almost instantly.

Strength: Otherwise, rather weak, maybe mid strength at most.

Taste: ???

Served: In a pewter goblet. Take down two glass bottles, filling the goblet halfway with the first. The beverage explodes momentarily as the second liquid connects to it, loosing a thick cloud of red smoke. Those who don't hold their breath will choke. Sprinkle a trace of salt into the center of the goblet. The outside of the pewter chills and a thin sheet of ice forms at the edges of the drink, while the center boils and catches fire on the surface.

Cost: 1 gold, though, because Martes has gotten tired of mixing the things, whoever orders it will have to show him a little more gold to bribe him.

Recipe: Beat two egg yolks into a bowl with one teaspoon of sugar. In a saucepan, bring one cup of ale, two ounces of gin, two ounces of sherry, one cinnamon stick, several ground cloves, and one lemon peel to the boiling point. Turn it to a simmer and add the egg mixture. Stir briskly with a whisk. Top with grated nutmeg.

Other Dangers: Has sugar so watch out creatures who can't have suger!

How it is served and what it looks like: Serve in a warmed mug and top with grated nutmeg.

Ingredients: Ten drops of Darnakian Dragonsblood, a couple of other spirits, and a lump of sugar.

Who drinks it: Fire creatures.

Safe for Mortal consumption?: Not really.

Other dangers: Very bad for Ice creatures. Lethal in excessive amounts. Anything it gets spilled on catches fire.

Strength: Otherwise, rather weak, mid strength at best.

Taste: A bit like burnt caramel, also with a spicy hot kick.

Served: First grab a ceramic goblet in which is poured some clear liquid to about halfway. To that add ten drops of the Darnakian Dragonsblood, a spoonful of some other spirit, and, last of all, a lump of sugar. There is an explosion of light and the smell of caramel fills the air. The goblet has a three-inch-tall blue flame coming from the top.

Strength: About the equivalent strength to a strong ale.

Served: A foaming blue liquid in a tankard.

Safe for mortal consumption?: NO. It will burn out your insides, cause you to hack up blood as it burns its way down your throat before finally killing you.

Other dangers: Particularly dangerous for ice creatures. If spilled, will burn through whatever it's spilled on like hot lava would.

Strength: Strong.

Taste: Spicy and Fiery.

Served: An Orange roiling liquid, served in a ceramic mug.

Cost: 3 gold.

Ingredients: Half Darnakian Dragonsblood, Half Tomato Soup.

Who drinks it: Any mortal intent on suicide.

Safe for mortal consumption?: NO!!!! They don't call it 'deadly' for nothing.

Other dangers: Death.

Strength: SUPER STRONG.

Taste: Tastes like Tomatoes.

Served: In a glass.

Cost: Undetermined.

Ingredients: Sea water among other things.

Who drinks it: Sailors of a sort

Strength: Fairly strong.

Served: In a bottle.

Cost: 1 Platinum.

Ingredients: Two different spirits, some white sand, and some lemon juice.

Who drinks it: Desert Dwellers, particularly the Desert Elves of Valasis.

Safe for mortal consumption?: Yes.

Strength: Not very strong at all.

Served: In a glass, pour one clear liquid to half full, then add another liquid to give it a slight blue tint. Sprinkle in the white sand and add a little lemon juice. the drink will begin to fizz a bit, sort of like soda.

Taste: Like lemon juice combined with club soda and alcohol.

Cost: 2 Silver.

Who drinks it: Amazons, and whoever they've chosen... BWAHAHAHA!

Other dangers: Can sometimes act as a bit of a fertility drug... Might make someone who's really uptight relax a bit.

Strength: About medium strength. Not too strong.

Served: In a mug, hot.

Taste: Like a mix of cinnamon, honey, some sort of citrus juice, and ginger.

Cost: 2 Silver.

Ingredients: Seaweed, a few other water plants

Who drinks it: Merfolk, and others close to the sea.

Safe for mortal consumption?: Yes.

Strength: As strong as your average beer.

Served: In a tankard, a green liquid.

Taste: Like fermented seaweed. Very unpleasant.

Cost: 2 Silver.

Who drinks it: Everyone

Safe for mortal consumption?: Yes.

Strength: varying toxicity, harmful to some creatures

Taste: Delicioius.

Comments: Martis will have to look far and wide for this one.

Ingredients: The nectar and brewed petals of many sweet flowers. Exactly how and what it is made with is a closlt guarded sceret of the Elves.

Who drinks it: Elves

Safe for human/mortal consumption: yes

Other Dangers: none

Other Affects: For Elves it has the ability of replacing the water needs for a grown adult for one day with only a few sips. Also has mild misdial and healing properties to any who drink it.

Strength: Very weak. With how much it costs it’s not worth drinking enough to get yourself drunk… it would take SEVERAL bottles to get even a light weight slightly buzzed.

Cost: five gold for a bottle

Taste: It has a light and delicate slightly flowery and sweet taste to it.

Ingredients: The yolk of a phoenix egg, lava, and ash.

Who drinks it: Fire jaguars, exclusively.

Safe for mortal consumption?: NO! It has a way of melting the inappropriate drinker, you see.

Strength: It's like water is for humans.

Served: Swirling orange liquid, in a bowel made of brimstone, steaming and bubbling.

Taste: For jaguars, like warmed up milk, for humans...like hell I guess.

Cost: 1 gold

Ingredients: A pinch of month old cod scales, sea salt, sea whiskey (fermented kelp juice), concentrated vodka, a few pieces of edible sea weed, and some salmon roe.

Who Drinks It: Citizens of Venetta consider it a delicacy, but almost any race can drink it.

Safe for mortals?: Yes, if you have a strong enough stomach.

Dangers: Has been known, in many cases, to cause near fatal food poisoning and gastro-intestinal failures. Consume at one's own risk. Considered a dare devil's liquor.

Taste?: Very salty, very fishy and has a habit of dissolving one's tooth enamel.

Strength: Very, very strong. Has been used as clog unblocker by frustrated cleaning maids because of it's caustic properties.

Cost: 3 gold pieces, and a signed waiver.

Served: With shaved frozen whale blubber on top. Looks like what you would find after toxic waste was dumped into a sewage drain.

Name: Hot Rice Whiskey

Ingredients: Pint of Average Whiskey, and 10 Grain's of Lorne's rice (he personally farms it and carries a pound with him and is able to grow it anywhere he pleases), and half a pint of rum, and another of average ale

Who drinks it: Anyone can really, but locals of Avarail (prosperous human town)really enjoy it

Safe for human/mortal consumption: Oh yeh.

Other Dangers: Depending on the strength you get, could cause damage to the throat (takes a lot though, like over time)

Strength: Varies: 1-3 grains of Avarail Rice: Average beer; 10-15 rice grains: Hot, and over time damage to the throat

Cost: About, 2 copper coins per grain of Avarail Rice inserted into the whiskey. 1 silver for the two pints of alcohol

How it is served and what it looks like: Really foamy (usually overflowing) and the grains dissolve into the alcohol, flavoring it and tining it to look more milky-white baige/tan.

Ingredients: Blood of various varieties

Who drinks it: Vampires and any human that likes the taste

Safe for human/mortal consumption: yes, but Vampires wouldn't advise it as it tastes nasty to everyone else

Dangers: After a Vampire drinks this, they have a tendency to be overly energetic and quick to start fights

Strength: Very mild

Cost: Undetermined

How it is served and what it looks like: It's a thick red liquid served in your typical Tavern mug. Cold or heated upon request.

Ingredients: It's just wine my friends

Who drinks it: Anyone, but it's rather expensive.

Safe for mortal consumption: deffinently

Strength: strong for a wine.

Taste: It's a white wine with a smooth texture and an almost sweet taste.

Note: Golden Sun is commonly referred to as the best wine grown in Ilandi, and is famous all over.

Ingredients: Coffee, wood - pulped, ice, nightshade, poison ivy, gin. Milk, hot water.

Who Drinks it: anyone who wants it - Quinn only made this by mistake, He was helping Lira one day and wowsers.

Safe for mortal drinkage: maybe - you'll have to get your stomach pumped.

Strength: strong

Taste: Like chocolate icecream mixed with vodka and cofee.

Served: Quickly.

Cost: 1 copper (free if you don't die)

Ingredients: The ground shell of an Arestran Lava Tortoise, a phoenix feather, a pint of whiskey, a cup of cream, a spoonful of sugar, and a dash of cinnamon.

Who Drinks It: Them as can pay for it, Arestran Lava Tortoises don't grow on trees you know. Phoenix feathers don't either as a matter of fact.

Safe for Mortal Consumption: Yes, but it's awfully strong.

Strength: Very, very, very strong. Did I not say this already?

Taste: Like sweet cinnamon and fire

Served: In a dark-colored wooden bowl, commonly ordered as a communal drink, to be passed around a table between friends, who will each take only very, very small sips. A deep milky red color, it smokes lightly, smelling like cinnamon.

Cost: 12 platinum

Ingredients: Spinner's venom, red whine, generally a drop or two of blood (what kind of blood depends on who makes it, also who orders it.)

who drinks it: Any one who can pay for it. Spinners don't like to donate their venom to anyone (another spinner or another species)

safe for mortal Consumption: Yes, it is a way to make yourself more resilliant to spinner venom, another reason it's so expensive.

strength: once you get past the poison, not very stong

taste like: red whine and vodka

served: warm and in a whine glass. The red whine doesn't mix well with the poison, the same way oil doesn't mix well with water. It tends to look like red whine with a clear substance swirled in, it doesn't smell like it was meant for consumption.

cost: 30 platinum at the tavern, but elsewhere it can reach up to 90 platinum due to rarity.

Ingredients: Cyanide.

Who drinks it: Idiots who thought it really was water.

Strength: Depends. If it kills you, does that make it strong?

Tastes like: Bitter.

Served: In a dark room that has plenty of places to hide bodies and not many people.

Ingredients: Hydrogen and oxygen. Erm. Water.

Who drinks it: Anything that breathes.

Safe for mortal consumption: Yes.

Strength: Weak.

Tastes: Like water.

Served: In a glass.

Cost: One copper.

Name: Holy Water

Ingredients: Water and liquefied angel crystal

Who drinks it: Mortals (mainly paladins)

Safe for human/mortal consumption: Yes

Affects: On non-paladins, projects an aura of divinity that repels most low-level demons. On paladins, increases strength and Holy Magic prowess. On demons, cause intense pain and lowers overall power.

Strength: Non-paladins: Mild; Paladins: Strong; Demons: Dangerously toxic

Cost: 2 copper (water), 10 platinum (liquefied angel crystal)

How it is served and what it looks like: Add the angel crystal to the water and drink. Tends to shine vibrantly.

Named: Sunny Bunny

Ingredients: Scotch, Cayenne pepper, and the blood and emulsified entrails of three rabbits, and stabilized plasma from a solar flare

Who Drinks It: So far, only Bacchus, but other demons may enjoy it too

Safe for human/mortal consumption: Don't let the name fool you, it can cause serious internal burns in mortals, and may kill vampires

Affects: Warms you up and gets you tipsy

Strength: Yes, lots

Cost: 50 platinum

How it is served and what it looks like: It's lumpy and reddish brown with coiling tendrils of radiant golden light. It is stirred with a stick of smoking hickory, poured into a pewter goblet and set on fire, hence the danger to mortals.

Name: Hellebore Gin

Ingredients: Gin, powdered hellebore (toxic plant)

Who drinks it: Demonologists, demons

Safe for human/mortal consumption: Safe for demonologists. Deadly for non-demonologists

-Effects: Increases demonic spellpower in demons, and exudes a demonic aura in demonologists

Other Dangers: If drunk by a non-demon or a non-demonologist, causes intense toxicity in vital organs (In large amounts, can kill). When drunk by paladins or angels, negates any and all divine blessings for a small amount of time.

Strength: For demons, mild. For demonologists, strong.

Cost: 1 silver, 50 copper (gin), 3 gold (powdered hellbore)

How it is served and what it looks like: Chill the gin to about 47 to 62 degrees Farenheit, add powdered hellebore, then stir. Exudes purple smoke.

Name: Mad Monk

Ingredients: Milk, sugar, vanilla, almond, hard liquor

Who drinks it: Anyone

Safe for human/mortal consumption: yes

-Effects: drowsiness, intoxication

Other Dangers: hangover

Strength: Very strong

Cost: fifty copper

Taste: Sweet and creamy, the alcohol is nearly indetectable

How it is served and what it looks like: it is served warm in a wooden mug and looks like foamy milk

Interesting Trivia: It was invented by a young priest who desired to leave the monastery for a little night of *glug glug*, *nudge nudge*, *wink wink*, and brought his master a cup of this drink. The elder monk was out like a light until late the next morning when he awoke exceedingly pissed, hence the name.

Name: Green Fairy

Ingredients: Absinthe with crystallized honey and mint tea served in a glass dusted with egg white and sugar.

Who Drinks it: Anyone

Safe for Human/Mortal consumption: Yes

Effects: Intoxication, hallucination.

Other Dangers: Over doses may lead to addiction and dependency.

Strength: Very Strong

Cost: 17 silver due to the preparation.

Taste: Slightly bitter, with a minty aftertaste.

Appearance and serving technique: If prepared correctly it is a foggy mint green color. Preparation is as follows; the inside and outer edges of a crystal glass is coated with egg-white over which sugar is sprinkled, giving a frosted look, a slotted silver spoon is placed over the glass, through which the absinthe is poured, large honey crystals are then placed on the spoon, chilled mint tea is then slowly dripped over the crystals until they are dissolved.

Ingrediants: Distilled liquor of lotus blossoms and honey.

Who Drinks it: Anyone

Safe for Human/Mortal consumption: Yes

Effects: Relaxes, cools, sooths.

Other Dangers: Can form a dependency.

Strength: Mild

Cost: 30 platinum15 gold 5 silver,12 copper.

Taste: Sweet with a slight herbal flavor.

Appearence and serving technique: Distilled lotus liquor and thinned honey are similtanioslly poured into a small golden cup. and served chilled with powdered diamonds and lapis lazul. Has a golden color and scented like flowers.

Name: Cherry-Popping Backslider.

Ingredients: One dash of Flaming Queen rum, two jiggers of Dreamy Diva vodka, one cup of Apollonian Bedsweet wine, and a popped cherry.

Who Drinks it: Anyone.

Safe for Human/Mortal consumption: Yes

Effects: Invigorates, energizes.

Other Dangers: In homosexuals and bisexuals, none. In heterosexuals, can cause an acute case of temporary homosexuality.

Strength: Mild

Cost: 15 gold.

Taste: Very sweet with a fruity aftertaste.

Appearance and serving technique: Mix in the Flaming Queen, Dreamy Diva, and Apollonian Bedsweet, and mix with a stirrer dipped in sugar, then add a popped cherry. Pink drink with a wafting, light pink mist.

Name: the FrostBurn Express

Ingredients: mints, spices, and Mt. FrostBurn ashwood bark.

Who drinks it: Anyone foolish or brave enough (usually both) to suffer or relish (usually both as well) the effects.

Safe for human/mortal consumption: Yes

Other Dangers: None, but the user goes through extreme hot and cold spells and after a while their stomachs and brains feel like they're collapsing in on themselves.

Strength: Very strong. Effect wise, that is. The alcoholic version nearly 90 proof but tastes like the non-alcoholic version: an icy mint mixed with incredible heat that consumes the entire body. Very tasty, though.

Cost: $3.25

How it is served and what it looks like: There is the sampler, which is served in a shot glass, and the regular, which is served in a normal glass, and the Frosted Volcano, which is served in a serving pitcher.

Name: Traveler's Ale

Ingredients: water, ale powder, alcohol

Who drinks it: the powder and alcohol can be carried, then mixed with water to cut down on pack weight while traveling while still allowing for admittedly cheap-tasting ale.

Safe for human/mortal consumption: yes

Other Dangers: Entirely depends on how much alcohol is mixed in, has no inherent dangers

Strength: Average

Cost: five copper

How it is served and what it looks like: Served in a glass, like any other ale, chilled. Tends to be a little more flat and doesn't quite taste as good, but is a cheap alternative, good for if the room's already spinning a little.
