Topic: Metafiction
Metafiction can be defined as literature which attempts to "break the fourth wall". Books about books, about manipulation of fiction which would appear as fantasy, perhaps where the author is a character, where the book affects the reader, or some twist like that. My major inspiration/experience with this is the Nextian universe series by Jasper Fforde. It has also been explored in the new movie 'Stranger than Fiction'.

I'd like this forum to show what writers on FP.net are using this subgenre and what they have been able to do with it. Discussion of published media is also here, and hopefully reviews/publicity/talk about my series/novel The Plotseekers, which is metafiction.

So is anyone out there interested?
