Hanapu looked out upon the vast metropolis he called his home. No one ever came to this land, it was cursed by Demons, and fallens. All defied the Angels, all hated angels. He stood up from his crouched position, he lept of the building and spred his inky, black leathery wings and begain his scouting, as fresh meat was had to come by in the closed spaces of the city.

Thunder rolled overhead, and flashes of lightning illuminated his feild of vision. It was time to hunt, his demons were growing restless.

Esael crouched on the corner of an aged building, watching the ground below silently. That's what she did. She was a watched- had been when she was an angel, was now that she was fallen.

She looked up as the lightning flashed and she sighed. She liked storms... they had the ability to come upon unexpectedly, silently until the last moment and they had such power in them, it was unbelieveable.

Hanapu spoted Esael quickly, and he flew down to her. "Good day M'Lady.... It is unwise to be out during a storm such as this one." He spoke,hovering in midair with the steady, yet powerful beats of his wings.

Esael gave a small smile at his greeting, brushing hair out of her face,

"Thank you for your concern but I will be fine." she said softly, her eyes catching momentarily on his leathery wings- so different to her own.

"I see. If you wish I can escourt you home." He smiled gentaly. "It would be unchivalrous of me not to." He landed down beside her, water running off him in mini streams.

Esael chuckled and looked at him,

"Home?" she asked, "Not in this place." she said softly, turning her face up to the rain.

"Thank you but that is not possible."

"I see, you to have no place to call home. We are more alike than you know." He looked up into the rain also, "It is getting heavy." He looked back at her, "I can offer you a place to stay if you need it." He smiled at her.

She tipped her head, curious about him, and thought about the offer. Her wings were getting heavy, the feathers soaking up rain so she needed to fly soon or resort to walking...

"I would appreciate it." she said softly with a nod.

He held out his gloved hand, "Then follow me, M'lady." The rain bounce helplessly off his thick leathery wings, "I will guide you." He smiled again.

She only nodded and followed, turning to fly by his side.

It had, as Hanapu had said, taken only five minutes to reach the place he stayed in. It was a ruined church of red brick, it's stained glass windows were colourful and a dim light flowed out from behind them. "It is not much but it is dry and warm." Hanapu commented, he opened the large wooden doors, "Ladies first." He bowed.

Esael smiled softly as they landed by the old church. He thought it wasn't much, a mess upon first sight but she thought it was beautiful; a beautiful mess... some irony in that statement.

She smiled again at his chivalry and shook her head a little at him,

"It looks to be more than adequate." she said, looking around the inside of the ruined church. "Thank you for you help."

"It was no trouble." he walked up to the alter and produced a couple of blankets and two towels. "You can dry off in here." He pointed to a small side room, "I can fix up some food if you are hungry."

"I would appreciate it." she said to his offer of food, taking a twoel and blanket for herself with a nod. She shook off her wings as she walked to the side room, much like a bird as the water sprayed out of them and they puffed up a little as she disapeared into the room.

Hanapu watched her dissapear, "Not bad boy." A snide voice echoed in his head. He walked up to the alter again.

"Shut up." He growled, but they didn't, "Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!" He pulled a gun from one of the holsters n his side, and pointed it at his forehead.

Dry, Esael walked out agin and looked up from the towel, searching for him and froze.

"Hey." she said softly, making her way over to him silently and carefully, "Hey, what are you doing?"

Hanapu looked around with frightened eyes, "They wouldn't be silent, so I scared them." He said some what hyserical. He was still dripping wet, andhe was shaking like mad.

Esael blinked then stepped up to him, putting a hand on his arm,

"It's all right now, okay? Look, you're still wet and you're freezing." she took his towel and started dryng off his arms, "You're going to need to help me, okay?" she asked, touching his face gently to maintain his attention.

He looked at her, "O...okay." The gun fell out of his hand and tears formed in his glazed eyes. "I can't do this anymore." He sobbed, tears rolling down his cheeks.

He retracted his wings and pulled off his wet shirt. He rooted around and found a new shirt. He also put on a strange item of clothing. It was a solid waistcoat that was made of rubber coated in leather, which zipped up the back. "You area strange person, you don't lie." He commented.

She watched him, eyes flicking away when they landed on his bare chest until he was clothed again.

"No. I do not lie." she answered him with a nod, "What is that?" she asked, looking at the strange clothing he'd put on.

"I use it to hide the scars." He zipped it up and now the only skin exposed was on his face. "We all have scars we want to hide." He turned to face her, while tying up his white hair. "Tell me. Why do you not lie. Is it because you cannot, or because you will not."

"Your here because of lies?" Hanapu asked. "I thought you might have done something worse. I know a fllen and he killed two men, when he was an angel." Hanapu commented coldly. He pulled on a long black trench coat, "I've also killed many. Thousands have fell before me. Angels, Elves, Humans all alike when they die." His voice grew dark.

Hanapu turned around, "Ah! You would not be here if you had not! Only if you kill will you be sent here!!" He laughed. "You feel no remorse for the people you killed. Might I inquire as to who you killed?"

"I feel no remorse, that is true but... killing does not appeal to me." she said, watching him calmly, "I killed the Arch Angel, Theodore."

Hanapu continued to laugh insanely. "You killed Theodore!" He suddenly stoppedlaughing and pulled a gun from one the holsters. "Theodore was an easy kill. Azreal and Gabriel are more difficult. They are my next target once Theodore was killed. But it seems you got there first. AndI can't have my targets taken by some nobody ex-Angel."

Esael's eyes went wide and she went to say something... something to stop him... but she was too slow, too... hesitant.

Hanapu's body begain to twitch like crazy. It begain to change,to morf into somehing diffrent. His skin turned completely black as an ooze conceled it. His face became featureless. Once it was complete, the figure got toit's feet and brushed some of the dirt off.

The entity looked at her (well it would if it had eyes) it raised it'sarm,and it shot at her, grabbing the front of her top. "Going somewhere?" It asked, It brought Esael in closer.
