| thewhimsicalbard Okay, so now that we have a new OT, there are a ton of things I want to post - the first is my skype name, which is pgamache. I think. The second is a question I have for each participating member of the Globe: I'm pretty sure that everyone here has a piece that is their lovechild - Emily has "I Never Said I Was Brave" and soph has "A Puppet in the Hand." I'm currently a little unsure what my piece is, though my self-proclaimed best work is Wanderlust... Anyway. Would anyone else like to profess their undying love to one of their works so that I can look at them (and possibly emulate the RQ herself)? 10/04/2010 #5 |

 lookingwest Has anyone ever considered trying to publish a book of poems? I haven't but there are many who do. Jeffrey McDaniel is my favorite I think, I also have Craig Arnold's Made Flesh. And then some chap books from Christiana Apowitz. I think what normally can happen to is you can make a chap book, I've seen a lot of those around on the poetry slam circuits and it's cheaper way to get stuff out to the public--but then most of those I know who are published are those who have been on poetry slam circuits and everything. | thewhimsicalbard I would love to publish one. I feel like making a book of poems is the poetic equivalent of a musician making a real album, which is another dream of mine. I'm trying to write one as we speak, but it's harder to write twelve to fourteen good guitar riffs than one might expect. Yes, I am thinking about it.
