"You're right. Great, now I'm in the mood for waffles... I wonder if they have any today?" she pondered for a moment.

"One way to find out." he snatched her hand marching to the food.

"Ah, wha?" she said before being pulled to the cafeteria.

The cafeteria lady smiled at the young people. "What can I do for you?" she asked.

"Do you have any Waffles?" he asked his palms resting on the table.

"So you're one of those types who likes breakfast for lunch, eh? I have them, all right. How many for you and the little girlfriend?" she asked sweetly, Ash blushing slightly.

The tips of his ears glowed pink. "Uh..four each."

"Sure, here you go sweetie. Have fun!'' she said as she handed them their plates, Ash carrying one.

[[going out, be back a lot later]]

He sat down and began to eat. He smiled at her syrup dripping from his chin.

Ash laughed. She took a napkin and wiped his chin with a smile.

He blushed and grinned. "So um, where are you from, Ash?"

"I'm from England. It was really nice over there." she said, still smiling.

"I'm from Scotland, so we're like neighbors," he laughed.

(They are so annoyingly cute :)

She laughed with him. "So, dear neighbor did you like Scotland?" she asked.

"It's nice, but I thought coming here would be a adventure!"

"You're right, Alex. Maybe it is an adventure." she said, playing with the end of her hair.

"Do you have uh, a um, uh, boyfriend?" he asked, his ear turning pink.

Ash did indeed blush at that. "N-no... never had one..do you have a girlfriend?" she asked, a bit embarrassed.

"Um, no.." he said. looking down for a second. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

"Why do you ask?" she asked him a bit hopefully.

"Because..you're pretty.." he admitted bushing.

Ash gave an award winning tomato a run for its money when her face lit up, but she smiled a bit. She leaned over to him and gave him a small peck on the lips.

His heart raced as her lips touched his, he was too overwhelmed by shock and happiness to react. "My first kiss," he muttered, grinning widely.

"Wouldn't you know, mine as well.." she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Her hand played with Alex's own.

His fingers wrapped around hers. Slowly he leaned forward to kiss her, tad longer.

She responded, kissing Alex back as she held his hand.

[[cue the awws]]

(Kissing? My eyes burn! lol

When they were out breath he pulled away smiling. "That was..." he just laughed.

Ash just smiled softly, she was glad she had gone to lunch that day,

"Do you want go for a walk?" asked Alex smiling at her.

Ash nodded. "Sure!" she said as they got up, she cleared her trey.

Pulling her with him the pair wondered out into the courtyard the first stars appearing.
