![]() You can do anything, and talk to anyone. No restrictions, except for what has already been said in the rules. You can test out, maybe develop some characters here. Just have fun with it! For the sake of less confusion, try to keep the freeplay in 'City square' If you leave the freeplay, joining an RP, or making one with my permission, post -Joe blogs has left freeplay- Joe blogs standing for the name of your character(s) The only constant here will be the city guard, who I will control. He keeps an eye on things, and makes sure things don't get too hairy. The city guard can be asked directions, and can be asked for assistance. He is addressed as, "Authoritative sir." Though those who are familiar with him, sometimes call him by his first name. Should a character get friendly with the city guard, he will give out his name then. Shops line the streets, stalls are everywhere. You can do pretty much anything! ((If there are many pages, ignore them, and start as you would in reply to this post. If a storyline is made here, create a topic for it, and *clear* the freeplay. This can be determined by the characters leaving the city, or coming up with a 'mission')) 9/09/2010 . ![]() Ah, a new city. Damien always did like traveling. New places to see, people to kill, you know how it is. He walked around, feeling slightly conspicuous. After all, bright red hair and green eyes weren't exactly common around these parts. Especially since he was a tall, wiry man, and most of the people in this square (at least at the moment) were short, stout, and female. He sighed and decided to browse a little. He wandered around, looking at various people and things, smiling and flirting. A couple of items caught his eye, and so he purchased them, stowing them under his jacket. 10/01/2010 #2 |
![]() Kirin was in the square, looking around. She didn't talk much, and people were staring. She looked up at them, as she was walking on all fours. She squatted to look up into the window of a shop, but she had no money. She felt someone pluck a feather from her wings, and almost bit them. Then she realized it was only a young child. She shook her head, and continued on her way. She'd been granted the ability to mingle with people, but she didn't know anyone. There was no one around to teach her, and when she tried to walk upright, she almost fell over. She sat for a little while, hungry, and smelling food from restaurants nearby. 10/01/2010 #3 |
![]() A whispering could be heard throughout the crowd. Damien's interest was piqued, and he headed toward the source of the commotion. It was easy to find; people pointed and whispered behind their hands. A few minutes of searching brought him to a a young woman sitting on a bench. That was who had been causing so much gossip? There wasn't anything too unusual about her; merely her wings a the feathers entwined in her hair. Damien approached her and heard a watery growl. Ah, she was hungry. He held out a hand and said, "Damien Atrum. May I have the pleasure of buying you a meal?" 10/01/2010 #4 |
![]() Kirin looked up. "Prweased ter meet yer. Em Kirin. Rwes please," she answered awkwardly, not able to talk very well. She knew the words, she just couldn't say them. She ruffed up her wings, and stood... on all fours. 10/01/2010 #5 |
![]() Zaria walked gracefully and silently into the market, her fluid movements weren't on purpose by any means, if anything she was trying not to be so unnaturally graceful. Being half elven and half Goddess it made it very difficult. She had her long golden brown hair pulled back out of her face though some strands escaped. Zaria ignored the stares of the men, she had grown used to men staring. It wasn't often one saw such a perfectly shaped woman, despite living like a ranger her skin was still fair seeming hardly touched by the sun and her build was slender and graceful not portraying her true strength at all. -- Sir Blackhorn, or Mathias as he proffered lead his black steed into town. He had taken off his armor and it was sling over the back of the horse clanking as the animal walked along. Mathias had come into the square in search of a blacksmith, his most recent battle hadn't left his armor untouched. His years of experience showed on every bit of him. His skin was tanned and rough and he had a very muscular powerful build. The way he walked suggested a knights training, upright and proud. But his eyes didn't portray a hardened knight like the rest of him did, his eyes were kind and even gentle at times though people often overlooked that to overwhelmed by his stature 10/01/2010 #6 |
![]() Kirin looked up at Zaria, being a Couatl, she could sense the powers she had. A Couatl was sacred, so they would know a goddess when they saw one. She meandered over to Zaria, on all fours. "Greetings, shild of ay greather powern." This was how she knew to greet one. She said it quietly, knowing that she likely wanted to be inconspicuous. She didn't notice Mathias right away, he blended in more with the crowd. Subconsciously, she made a few clicks and yipes, the language of a Couatl, muttering to herself. 10/01/2010 #7 |
![]() Damien raised a brow at the two women in front of him. One was ethereal and graceful, although trying to hide it. The other was crawling on all fours, greeting her as a 'child of a greater power'. Obviously, the kneeling woman was trying to be quiet, but Damien's hearing was above normal. It was strange that a child of power would be here, but, perhaps, not unexpected. He plastered a fake smile on his face and said, "Well, now, aren't I a lucky one? Two beautiful women in front of me. Please, allow me to introduce myself. I am Damien Atrum." He bowed deeply, but stiffened at a scent he caught on the air. Werewolf. A quiet growl crawled out of his throat. 10/01/2010 #8 |
![]() Kirin looked up, smelling it as well, but wasn't entirely sure why there was a problem. "Vhat ish it?" 10/01/2010 #9 |
![]() "Werewolf," Damien replied, a bass edge creeping into his voice. He swallowed roughly and smiled. "I'm sorry." 10/01/2010 #10 |
![]() Kirin cocked her head to the side. "Why would you be shorry? Vhat ish dere to be shorry for? Vhat'sh wrong wi'sh a werewolf?" 10/01/2010 #11 |
![]() "I was apologizing in case I had startled you. And in response to your other question, I do not particularly enjoy the company of canines." The last word was said with contempt. Damien took a deep breath and tried to reign in his emotions. A smug, cocky expression settled onto his face. 10/01/2010 #12 |
![]() Kirin still looked a little confused, but then she figured it out. "Ah. I can shee vhy. I do not mind zhem. I em only a shnake." 10/01/2010 #13 |
![]() "Only? No, my dear, not only. Snakes are not a force to be trifled with. You simply do not have as much animosity between you and other species as felines and canines," Damien said, smiling. 10/01/2010 #14 |
![]() Kirin shrugged. "Couatl are not knowrn for any animosity at all. Not shat I'm your avewrage Couatl... and shnakes haff problems wi'sh mongoosers." 10/01/2010 #15 |
![]() "Yes, that is true. Now, do you wish for a meal?" he asked formally. 10/01/2010 #16 |
![]() Kirin nodded slowly. "Yesh pwrease." She was still cautious enough to know if anyone put poison in her food, but she didn't think she had much of a reason to worry. No one knew her. Therefore, no one could have any grudges against her. 10/01/2010 #17 |
![]() Damien nodded back and leaned down, taking a gentle hold on Kirin's arm. He raised her slowly to her feet, allwoing her to get her balance. He did snigger a bit when she almost toppled, though 10/01/2010 #18 |
![]() Mathias could hear them clearly speaking of a werewolf, he veared off in another direction and went to the nearest blacksmith to drop off her dented armor -- Zaria looked between the two of them, she was glad the attention had gone off of her entirly 10/01/2010 #19 |
![]() The subtle movement drew Damien's attention. "Forgive me, I seem to be neglecting you. May I have the honor of your name?" he asked courteously. 10/01/2010 #20 |
![]() Zaria sighed "Zaria" she told him 10/01/2010 #21 |
![]() "A pleasure to meet you, ma'am." He smiled and bowed. 10/01/2010 #22 |
![]() "Don't start that, it's just Zaria" Zaria said annoyed, she hated when people treated her differently then others 10/01/2010 #23 |
![]() "Pardon me?" he asked, confused. What was her problem? 10/01/2010 #24 |
![]() Zaria sighed "I'm sorry, I just don't like being treated so formaly" 10/01/2010 #25 |
![]() "Forgive me; where I come from it is the height of rudeness to use someone's first name upon first meeting." Damien gestured at Kirin. "Do you know her?" 10/01/2010 #26 |
![]() Zaria shook her head "I don't know anybody here" 10/01/2010 #27 |
![]() "Oh dear. Where are you from?" he asked curiously. Damien liked knowing about other people; he just didn't like other people knowing about him. 10/01/2010 #28 |
![]() Kirin did nearly fall over. She glared at him. "Ashk firsht!" then she shook her head. "Thanksh." She looked at Zaria. "May I ashk your parentage?" 10/01/2010 #29 |
![]() Zaria didn't like being in the spotlight at all "Nowhere really" she answered the first question asked then looked at the girl who didn't seem to know how to walk up right "No" she simply said. she didn't actualy know who her real parents were 10/01/2010 #30 |
