![]() Announcements about opportunities in the book world: available internships, journals open for submissions, agents offering critiques, legitimate writing competitions, writers' workshops in your area, etc. This thread is not for hiring freelance writers yourself. It's about writers letting other writers know about cool openings in the publishing world. RULES 1. Please only one post per opportunity. If I delete your post, please don't be offended! I just want to keep the thread clear. 2. When a post is no longer relevant, please close it with "CLOSED" at the top and bottom of the post, so members know which things are active. 3. Please include dates for time-sensitive posts! 4. You don't have to host something to post about it. If you see an open opportunity somewhere else, please post! 5. If you are looking to hire freelance writers yourself, please DO NOT post about it here. 8/09/2010 . Edited 10/05/2012 #1 |
![]() THIS SUBMISSION WINDOW IS CLOSED. I'll get us started! Harper, one of what people in publishing call The Big Six publishing houses, is accepting unagented submissions for their SFF line Voyager until Oct 14th, 2012! You'll need a completed novel manuscript, a short synopsis (I used a hook instead, oh well) and a completed query letter. Go here to submit: http://harpervoyagerbooks.com/harper-voyager-submission-form/ I've already submitted, because the terms look pretty nice and because why not. I wish they'd waited until we had the query critiques up and going! That would help everyone, I'm sure. 10/11/2012 . Edited 11/12/2012 #2 |
