Topic: Have you ever read a story where an author really reworked a cliche?

Sometimes I wonder if a cliche is just to tired and overworked to create a good story out of. If anybody out there has read an author who's managed it, SPILL.

It's Just Mia by kanders is a really good example of a good, reworked cliche.

Here's the summary, if you're interested:

"You all know the whole bet cliche. Well, this is me, and I kinda sorta maybe already know about said bet, and am playing along with it to give the guy a taste of his own medicine. Warning: Slight chance I might fall for the guy and my plan will be foiled."

I really liked it. It's now on my fave list AND my Alert list. You should read it too!!

While you're at it, read my story, Invisible. It (at least I think...) reworks the whole shy girl cliche pretty well. I'd LOOOOVE you if you reviewed it too. (not to sound desperate, or anything...)
