Tyler mirrored Max's actions, also folding her arms, "Just because you think it doesn't make it right."

Max's eyes glittered (bad sign), and she said, smirking "What if Sam thinks it?"

Tyler gave Max a very odd look, "Excuse me?" Then she shook her head, "Look, there's gotta be a reasonable explanation for this that doesn't involve things that are impossible!"

"Time travel is not impossible. Aaaaages ago, people thought electricity was impossible. And look at what we have now!" argued Max.

"yeah, well people 'aaaaages' ago were stupid." Tyler said.

The, Selena interrupted them, "Electricity?"

Max shot Tyler an 'I told you so' look.

"Ummm, using energy flow to make power." said Max, to Selena.

"And, she's not stupid." she added, to Tyler; she meaning Selena.

Tyler sighed in annoyace, "That's because she's not from 'aaaaages' ago!"

Selena appeared to be ignoring Tyler, "That sounds interesting," She stated, "Do you use magic to make that too?"

(lol, Selena sounds like a right idiot XD)

(lol, she's not!!! She's just ignorant...let's face it, people from the past wouldn't understand electricity/iPhones/computers/iPods/everything!!!)

"It is...unless we're studying it in science..." said Max, to Selena "Umm, I don't think it's magic." (She's good at history, but not science :D)

"She is...sorta...well, now it's the present, but back in 2010, it would have been the past." she babbled to Tyler, before adding "time travel is confusing."

"One of the reasons why it's not real." Tyler muttered under her breath.

Selena looked from each of the stange people standing in front of her to another, "...You look like you need a bit of help? You should come back to Validior with me." she offered.

"Real things are often confusing." said Max quietly, thinking of her own bad experiences in science lessons "And this is real."

"Thank-you." said Max "Umm, Tyler, does that sound like a good idea to you?"

Tyler rolled her eyes (again), "If it means that I don't have stay like this-" She said, gesturing to her muddy state, "then why not."

"Alright then." said Max(ine).

"Umm, thanks for the offer. It would be great if you could take us to Validior, but only if it's alright with you." she added, turning to Selena.

Selena nodded, "Of course!" Then she paused, "...Though if you are magic, you will have to be extremely careful..."

"Why?" asked Max curiously.

"Magic is dangerous, apparently." Selena explained, "It's worthy of execution from just suspicion."

"Really? Wow. Well, we're not magicians." replied Max.

"Ummm, by the way, what's your name?" she asked, frowning "I think I forgot to ask..."

Jack McLaggen landed with a splash in a lake. "Fantastic," he muttered spitting out water. He tread water for a few minutes, trying to get a bearing on his surroundings. "Now, just where the hell am I....should I be freaking out?"

Max(ine) saw the enormous splash in the middle of the lake.

"Hey!" she shouted "Need any help?"

She gave Tyler a triumphant look, as this almost certainly proved that they'd travelled back in time...because if not, then how did some other person land in the middle of a lake out of nowhere?

Jack swam to shore before responding. "No, thanks. Therapy is expensive. Information would be nice, however."

Selena blinked.

Tyler raised an eyebrow at the newcomer, the saw the look on Max's face, "Oh boy," she sighed.

"I'm not sure I can give you any." replied Max(ine) with a shrug "You see, some of us." she said, staring pointedly at Tyler as she said this "believe we're still in 2010. But I don't happen to agree."

"So we're dealing with either a transporter or a time machine? Neat." Jack looked around for a moment. "Well, the road isn't paved..." He pointed at Selena. "And people don't dress like that unless they're at a Renaissance fair. Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."

Selena tilted her head to the side, and then looked at Max again, "I'm Selena," she said, answering her last question, thought leaving out the part about her royalty.

"Proves nothing," Tyler said simply, eyeing the random boy in the lake.

"Proves something." said Max(ine) quickly "This isn't 2010!"

"Hey Selena. I'm Maxine. Max for short." she said, to Selena.

Jack shrugged. "The easiest way to find out would be to head for the nearest gathering of civilization."

"Well, like I said previously, I can take you all back to Validior?" Selena repeated.

"Alright then." smiled Max, before asking "Where exactly is Validior?"

"It's not too far is it?" Tyler whined, holding up her shoe, "I'm not letting anyone else see me like this."

Selena smiled, "Not too far, follow me, I will show you the way."

Jack followed her. "Kind of a spirit of adventure, no? We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz..."

Max wanted to laugh at Tyler, but somehow kept a straight face.

"Thank-you." she said quietly, to Selena. She grabbed Sam's arm, and explained "If someone doesn't keep track of him, he'll end up in some place he isn't supposed to be...like the 6th century..."
