Noah was watching TV in the living room, papers strewn across the coffee table.

"Hey Noah, I'm home." she called, stepping through the front door and closing it behind her. She set all her stuff on the counter and walked over into the living room. She leaned on the back of the couch, looking at all the papers. "Is all this for the shop?"

Yes, but its for a shop located in a different county."

"Really? Well that sounds interesting." she kissed the top of his head. "Have you already eaten?"

"How did he find us? Did you give him our home address?"

"No, I told him we were living out around here, but I didn't tell him our specific address."

"I've arranged for us to move to a different county and this time no one will know where to find us." Noah said.

"Wow, he really got to you."

"He's one of them. The ones who are harvesting fallen angels and such for their light." Noah said, "I wasn't sure at first but the fact that he showed up today...I saw it in his aura."

Her jaw dropped. "Are you sure?" she strode towards him. "Absolutley positive?"

"You might not be able to see it yet but he has a distinct mark on the back of his left hand, indicating that he's one of them. That's why I've been so against him from seeing you...and touching you. Every time he touches you he steals a bit of your light."

Sydney wrapped her arms around herself and looked down. "I lose a baby and now a best friend." she muttered.

"He was just using you, Sydney." Noah said, "It's only best that we leave as soon as possible."

She nodded slowly. "I know." she murmered. Sydney dug her phone out of her pocket and blocked Matt's number then deleted him from her contacts.

Noah snatched away her phone and broke it, severing any chance of Matt coming back.

Sydney flinched then sighed. "So when are we leaving?"

"Tonight." Noah said, snapping his fingers and instantly all of their furniture was gone, leaving the house empty. "Let's go."

Her eyes widened. "O-okay." she held out her hand for his.

He took her hand and in a flash they were standing in their new home, completely furnished like they had lived there for years.

She looked around her in suprise then relaxed. "So how far away are we?"

"More than three hundred, we're two counties away from where we were."

Sydney yawned, struggling to act like she wasn't freaking out on the inside. "Okay."

"I'll buy you a new phone in the morning." Noah said, taking her hand and leading her upstairs. The house was slightly larger than the last one, and the interior much more detailed.

Sydney looked around the new house, trying to take it in, but she was a little on edge and highstrung at the moment so she just followed Noah.

"I know this is a lot to take in right now but just know that I'm trying to keep you safe."

She showed her response by gripping his arm and pulling his head down into a deep kiss.

Noah hugged her close.

"It's late, we should get to bed."

"Yeah, I agree." Noah said.

Sydney laughed and looked around. "So which way is the bedroom again?"
