Topic: Newbie Needs Help

Since my account became active only yesterday, I'm a bit lost. This seemed like a friendly place, but I hope I'm not bothering anyone. I don't know how communities around here work.

I'm having trouble with the email alerts. Despite being set to "Enabled" I'm getting no emails whenever I get a new review. I tried sending myself a message to test if that was working, but I haven't received it yet either. I tried the FAQ/Help section, but it's not working. I looked around for a support address but couldn't find one. My email address is working fine and there are no new messages in the spam box.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I don't know what the problem is, but um.. it should be working. Like if it is enabled then it should send you a message on whatever it is.. like story alert. Well, if i think of something I will tell you. Anyway, best wishes.

Thanks for the reply. The "email me when replies are added to this topic" box was checked, but I didn't get a notice for that either. Oh well. Does anyone know where I could get help? As I said, the FAQ/Help link doesn't seem to be working, and I can't find any support email. Bah. Maybe I should try changing my email address.

I'm not getting any email alerts either. I've check everything I can think of, so I think it's fictionpress being silly.

I guess you're right ^ At least it's not a problem specific to my account. I didn't want to have to delete it and start over.
