2. Click on the Documents link on the left margin of the screen. 3. In the "File on Computer" box, either type the full name and extension of the file with your poem. Or, if you're lazy or don't know the full name (both of which are my case, every time), use the browse button and find the poem in the window that pops up. 4. Label your document in the "Label" box, if you wish. 5. Under format, select "Story." 6. Click "Submit Document." 7. Click on the document you just uploaded and check to see if you need to make any changes. If you do make changes, remember to scroll down the screen and click the "Save Changes" button. 8. Now click on the "Stories" link on the left margin of the screen. 9. Click the "New Story" link (toward the upper right-hand corner of the page). 10. Go through the whole Agree to Guidelines set-up if you haven't done so in a while (or ever). 11. Click "New Story" again. 12. Click the "First Step" button. 13. Select "Poetry" on the pop-up screen. 14. Select the appropriate subcategory. 15. Fill in the title, summary, language, rating, genre, and status boxes appropriately. 16. In the document box, select the right poem (this is where labels come in handy, if you have multiple documents uploaded at one time). 17. Click "Submit Story." Your poem should appear on the site within the hour. If the document loader messes up your line spacing, or you just want your poem single-spaced, here are some direction to help you: 1. On the "Edit/Preview" page under "Documents," move the cursor to the beginning of the line you want single-spaced. 2. Backspace the line so it touches the previous lines. Yes, the words should mash together. 3. Keepin the cursor where you left it, hold the shift button and hit enter. You should have a single-spaced line in that section now. You'll have to repeat this for each line in your poem you want single-spaced.

Remember to use spell and grammar check on your poems. Some people will flame you mercilessly if you have too many technical errors, regardless of how well written the poem is in other aspects.
