I'm just wondering. How does a story qualify as a manga? I mean, mangas could be everything! But what does it really take to write a manga? Tell me...

You already answered yourself perfectly. Manga can be anything. Everyone has their opinions, but I just treat it as a smaller version of the general section. Regardless of what it is, I don't put much time into trying to figure it out anymore, since the people who run this site have never explained it. So just post whatever.

Usually, I just figure that the Manga section is for stories that take place in Japan, deals with Japanese culture, or any other Japanese legends.... at least, that's what I see everytime I go to the Manga section...
