"Yeah?" he said, walking closer. "What's wrong with it?"

"Sprained," Terra said. "Though it doesn't really hurt all that much anymore.."

"No?" Mora asked. "You want to give it a try?"

She looked at him strangely, "Well... alright.." Terra stood up. To her surprise the pain was completely gone. She moved around testing her knee out and was delighted to find that it was all better. "Amazing!"

Erion, however, was more suspicious than Terra. "I guess it didn't hurt as much as you thought eh?" he asked, stretching a smile across his face.

He looked at Mora, and felt uneasy. For some reason, his instincts told him to be wary of him. He felt a heightened sense of protectiveness wash over him, accompanied by an urge to stand between him and Terra.

Terra sat back down beside Erion and held his hand cupped. While being unable to read Erion's mind, she was able to know whenever Erion felt uncomfortable or anxious in any way. "I guess not. Still, this is great. Now I don't have to worry about you getting lost in the hallway and running into bullies again."

"Bullies?" Mora asked. "Has somebody been messing with you?"

She shook her head. "No. Everything's fine."

"What about you..Erion?" Mora asked.

"No.. nothing. Everyone's been really nice."

"Good... good." he replied. "Hey, congrats." said Mora, taking a lighter tone. "I heard about you and Rebecca. Kinda funny, because I always thought you two would uh.."

Mora put his hands together.

Terra looked down. "Heh, yeah..."

"I'm uh.. not with Rebecca." Erion said, blushing scarlet.

"Ah," Mora said, rocking on his heels. "so there is still hope."

Erion became intensely interested in a spot on the floor.

Terra blushed. "Y-yeah... though at this rate Rebecca might just win."

"Well, look at the time," Mora said loudly, without looking at his watch. "I've got to go and.. do teacher things. You kids have fun."

He started toward the door.

"Not too much fun." he added, with a failed attempt at a stern look before he disappeared from view.

"Yeah..?" he replied.

"I...." Erion said, lost for words. "I won't, act like it didn't happen. I wasn't entirely sure what was happening.. I had never been.. touched that way before.."

"I did.." Erion said, looking down. "Terra.. Are you-"

"Ugggnn."

A groan interrupted Erion's question.

The nurse came in, and walked briskly to a closed of section of the nurses office, muttering "-finally got a piece of your own medicine. Don't know how many kids came in here and all they could say was 'Flash' before passing out...."

Erion looked at Terra, but sensed that his moment had passed. "We should get out of here. Let's go home.."

Erion, comforted by the contact, gave her hand a squeeze. "Yeah," he replied. His mind went to his bag, still in the locker with his regular clothes, yet he pushed these thoughts to the back of his mind, knowing that retrieving the bag meant he'd have to let go of her hand.

EDIT: (GEEZ!) After showing the note off to the main office, Terra and Erion left the school building. "So," began Terra, "how did you do it?" she asked, referring to her healed knee.

"I don't know." Erion replied, looking around. There were people out and about, walking near the school. "Let's talk about this at home... okay?"

They boarded the bus. It was almost empty, so they choose a seat in the back of the bus. The tension in the air was still there, yet their hands never parted.

Erion smiled and moved closer to the window. They watched it fly into the field, and into a tree, where it was greeted happily by three chicks left in a nest.

"Wow," Erion said, before he'd realized that he was about an inch away from Terra. He froze, as her scent invaded his nostrils, sweet as honey. He closed his eyes and inhaled, basking in the sweet ambiance that rolled off her.
