| Stabheart I'll just post it here, I hope it can be of some use to people, @ Oddity- I just wanted to let you know that schizophrenia is not the same as multiple personality disorder/dissociative identity disorder (I believe the latter is what it's presently referred to by, although it's not even recognised by some as a genuine condition yet). Schizophrenia literally does mean 'split mind', but that's deceptive and it doesn't actually relate to having dual/several personalities....your character sounds like a classic DID case, though, if that's any help...people usually say that their personality fragments to protect them during/following abuse. Also they often abuse alcohol or chemicals, but I don't think there'd be access to that in an asylum.... Please disregard if you meant your character has both schizophrenia and DID. :B 11/09/2011 #77 |
