Shaneka squealed at the shaking earth and his her face in her arms on Red's shoulder.

"Woah!" Red exclaimed, referring to both the earthquake and his friend's behavior. When the tremors stopped, he peered anxiously at Shaneka. "Umm....are you okay?"

Shaneka glanced up sheepishly and removed her arms from Red's shoulder. "Sorry. I...ah...don't like earthquakes."

Red chuckled. "It's fine." He looped an arm around Shaneka's shoulders. "I don't like water, so you can help me in that area." The teen grinned at his companion, who grinned back.

Marie had told another nurse to take care of Red and she went to her room and laid on her bed,staring at the ceiling. A nurse walked into Red's room,"Ummmmm,I was told to tell you that Marie will not be taking care of you anymore." then the nurse left.(So,I think Red should freak and go find her or you know whatever else you think should happen.)

A sudden anger welled up in Red, aided by sadness and supressed by relief. Red did not wish for Shaneka to sense his turmoil, so he merely smiled at the nurse's retreating form. "Fine by me," he said.

Shaneka turned her gaze on Red. "Why do you think that is?" she asked, her eyes worried.

Red shrugged. "I guess she couldn't handle all of this." He gestured to himself and Shaneka laughed softly. "Excuse me, Miss Shaneka, for I must take a trip to the water closet."

Confusion furrowed the scientist's brow. "Water closet?"

"Ah, nevermind." Red leaped from the bed and strode out of the room. He started toward the bathroom, but as soon as he was out of sight, the teen changed course and headed straight for Marie's room. Flinging open the door, he entered. "What," he ground through clenched teeth, attempting to keep his anger in check, "was that all about? Suddenly you cannot handle being around me?"

Marie stared absently at the ceiling like she didn't hear Red. She got up and walked to the stairwell not even paying attention to Red.

Red planted himself in front of Marie and grabbed her shoulders. "Don't. Ignore. Me."

Marie looked absently at Red and didn't answer him. She moved Red's hands off her shoulders and started up the stairs.

Red face-palmed dramatically. "I guess I'll just poke you until you aknowledge me," he muttered, following Marie and poking her on the arm repeatedly.

Marie climbed up the stairs until they got to the roof,she walked to the edge and turned to Red,"Loki said you didn't know who to like,so I will give you my answer." Marie said monotonically as she stepped back off the roof.

Red gaped for a second, then shook himself for his stupidity. He then sped back down through the building--pausing to grab a straightjacket on the way--and positioned himself under Marie. With an oof, he caught the girl, sinking to the ground in triumph. "You're not gonna die on me today, Marie," he taunted.

Beth hopped out of the building,"Ok,if you want to know how that happened, you may want to ask the guy that can be put in a lock by a ten year old girl with a broken leg."Beth said turning Loki towards Red.

((Whaa!? Where did they come from? Since when did Beth become a double-agent? Why didn't Marie reply to Red's comment? I'M CONFUZZLED!))

(Ok,I thought it was obvious that Marie was not actually Marie,Loki showed up, Beth saw him and put him in a lock,ok?)

((OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Okay.(: I get it now. And no, it wasn't obvious.))

Red spun around, Marie still in his arms. "Wait, what?! What the heck is Loki doing here?" he questioned Beth.

"What the heck are you doing here?!" he repeated again, this time to Loki. "What--what happened?!"

Red glanced down at Marie, who--to his surprise--hadn't replied to his earlier comment with a snarky remark.

(A smiley nice girl,monotone!!!!!!!!!!!)

"Well,he kinda put Marie under,because he is stupid enough to come hear." Beth answered.

Loki looked at his Red evilly,"It is my job to make you guys weak,you know."

"Under? Under what?" Red inquired, struggling to keep the panic out of his voice.

He shot a glare at Loki and lay "Marie" on the ground. Lighting his fist like a torch, the teen slowly walked toward his tormentor and waved the flames in his face. "I can easily torch you. I hope you know that."

"I made a new control serum,that you don't know how to treat." Loki said breaking from Beth's lock and pushing her to the ground.

Red tackled Loki and shoved his flaming fist in his opponent's face. Red gathered Loki into his arms--much like he had done to Marie--and sped him away, dumping him at the outskirts of the city. Shooting a final ball of flame at his enemy, the teen sprinted back. In all, the trip had taken a little less than a minute.

Beth got herself to her feet and said,"We better get inside,I am sorry,Red,for everything."

Red shrugged, then pointed to "Marie." "What do we do with her. We know she's not the right one, but it wouldn't be cool to just leave her to die. What is she, anyways? Clone, robot, alien...?"

"Clone,most likely,Loki would have wanted you to think she was actually dead. Where could Marie be?" Beth said.

"No clue..." Red scratched his head and picked "Marie" up. "I'll call you Sarah," he decided, walking inside.

"Uhhhhhhh,ok then......." Beth said hopping inside.

TIME SKIP!!!!!!!

Marie woke up with no idea where she was.

"Ummmmmmm,so Marie is no where in the building."Beth said to Red.

"Duh," Red replied, becoming agitated.

"Well,do you have any idea where to look?" Beth replied annoyed.

"The basement?" he guessed, leading the way.

"uhhhhhhh, OK......"Beth said not feeling like arguing.

Marie tried to get up,but was too soar. She noticed that her wrists locked to the floor along with her ankles.

((Where IS Marie, anyways?))

Red opened the door to the basement and cautiously stepped down the stairs. "Hello?" he called. "Marie?"

(Well I think,in a secret room,in the basement would be good.)

Marie heard Red voice,but it was muffled like he was in another room. She tried to call back but couldn't get herself to speak.

Red quickly surveyed the sparsely decorated room, then began knocking on walls. "This is just like Scooby-Doo," he muttered.

(Yes! Scooby-Doo!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Marie heard a knock on the wall and tried to say something,all she could get out was,"Red?"
