So what IS Writer Showcase?

Well, WS is a site which hosts contests for writers and poets. Unlike most websites, this site is focused on these competitions rather than focused on general work, however general work does have it's place.

In the Current Contest forum you will see this weeks contests, if you don't like them then wait for the new week, contests will be started and finished weekly. Instructions and criteria for entering each one are listed on the posts, and if you have a suggestion for a differant type of contest please suggest it. There will be differant types of contests each week, so theres always something to suit everyone.

Also you will see lettered forums. These are peoples spaces. When you first join you will need to make a post in the 'Awaiting Personal Forum' post. when an admin see's this post they will set you up a forum under the name and letter of your username. for example my forum, abba12, is listed under A as abba12.

These forums will act as your spaces, and they are your's to do almost what you wish. They are primarily to post your own original work, and receive comments and critiques about it. but they can also be used to chat to people, post biographies and lists, and whatever else you can think of, in a nice, organised, manner. For now people will have moderator status on their own forums, along with admins, who are able to check for content.

There is a lot we want to implement in time but this is a growing project. We hope you visit, join and contribute reguarly. look around, see what you like. Theres plenty to do, including browsing others work and chatting in the general forum. If you have any questions PM an admin (right now theres only me signed up on this site, theres others in the background who will appear in time)
