![]() Talynne walked in to see some weird girl crying in her room. The door was flung wildly open, and there were claw marks on the walls. This couldn't be her room.... She tossed her bag onto the bed, causing the girl to stop sobbing momentarily, glaring up at her. "Hey hey! - Talynne put her hands up in defense - I didn't do this, don't look at me like that. What happened here anyway?" Talynne asked, squatting down next to the girl, touching a shattered piece of glass. She could barely recognise what it once was, but she could tell electrical gadgets when she saw them. "It's not the end of the world." Talynne whispered in a more sympathetic voice. The girl looked up, eyes wide with recognition. 7/28/2012 #31 |
![]() Robin smiled at the guy and buried her hands in her sweatpants' pockets. She hadn't tought that anyone would be up this early in the morning. The darn moon and it's stupid relationship with earth had kept her awake the whole night. The magnetism between the two orbs in the space had been quite strong that night but it wasn't so surprising since it was full moon. "Sorry to bother your thoughts, I didn't know someone would be here and I was just checking if you were a student instead of one of those..." She tried to explain and shook her head at herself. She should have just passed him quietly. "Anyway, sorry for bothering you." She flashed an apologetic smile and turned to leave. 7/28/2012 #32 |
![]() Trystan couldn't help but smile at her stumbling words. He tugged at her sleeve, slightly. She looked up at him in askance, with all the trust in the world and he didn't know what to do. He felt nervous all of a sudden. He swallowed. "You don't have to leave, you know? I could use the company." Trystan didn't exactly want to be left with his thoughts either. Things were already falling apart though, did he want to make friends here? Friends he could potentially kill. But he felt... like he had to protect this one. To keep her and use his powers for her. He shook the thought. "By the way, I'm Trystan." He held out his hand. 7/28/2012 #33 |
![]() "You.. You're..." Bex decided not to finish that thought. She picked up a shard from the hardware. it was a small portion of a motherboard. silent. "My world was ruined, though. In one day, I lost the nine years of research I did here, my homemade computer, and fifteen thousand dollars worth of hardware." and the Silence continued. 7/28/2012 #34 |
![]() Talynne froze. Time slowed. What did the girl know? What did she have to alter? She felt her energy swarming, going into the defensive. The girl quickly changed the subject and she let a breath escape. "A technopath aye? Can't you simply rebuild? It can't be that much of a big deal." She asked curiously. She couldn't understand why computers could be so important. They weren't alive. At least no one had died. Money, technology all that could be remade. 7/28/2012 #35 |
![]() "Again, that computer took me nine years to build. And it isn't that simple. Most of the money for the computer was funded my the facility, and they aren't going pay THAT again. Also, i don't have anything to use to contact the hardware producers." against what she said, she could already see plans for a new computer building up. this would be better, faster, security encoded. Perfect. 7/28/2012 #36 |
![]() "What if I told you I had connections, and I could get you anything you needed to get this new computer up and running?" Talynne asked. This could be an opportunity for an alliance of sorts. This girl would get her precious materials, and she could gain access to the Facility files. She needed to get as much information on this place as possible, especially on that little boy and she had a feeling this girl was the person to help her. 7/28/2012 #37 |
![]() "Anything?' she mumbled, the designs still building themselves up in her mind. but wait. "What's the catch?' there was always a catch. just like her parents sending her hand her brother off to a beautiful school in upstate New York. always a catch. 7/28/2012 #38 |
![]() "I want access to files, very specific files on anything and everything I want. Information is power my friend and I plan on getting a lot of it." Talynne said. She could even find her father... "Stop looking at me like that. You just give me looks that make me want to curl up and die. I just want them for ... personal reasons. I'm no Russian spy." Talynne laughed at the idea. 7/28/2012 #39 |
![]() This girl wanted files? in return for everything she would do? "Files from Administrations? Way too easy. Facebook? Easier. U.S. Government? fair enough, International Governments? just my level of expertise. I'm currently hacking England's database. Where do you want these files from, exactly? I would need to install certain programs if it's somewhere specific, like an IP address in Hawaii, or the CEO of Apple's home." 7/28/2012 #40 |
![]() Robin smiled up at him, glad for some reason that he would like her company. Forgetting her original purpose of finding a perfect hiding spot, where she could spent her time ditching from the day's classes, she glanced at his hand before giving it a small shake. "I'm Robin. Nice to meet you Trystan." His palm felt a little rough against her skin and she grinned, letting go of his hand, happy that she might have, possibly, made a new friend. Still, she tought it odd that he would be up and about this early in the morning. "Why are you up this early?" She looked at him, tilting her head slightly to the side, her eyes looking at him curiously. 7/28/2012 #41 |
![]() "Brilliant. All in good time. I need you to create the computer first. I'll be sure to ring my contacts asap." Talynne smirked, this was going to be the start of a beautiful friendship. She set up her few possessions in the room, and was content that this Facility place was going to be a very interesting place to live in. --- Trystan couldn't help but notice the jolt of electricity that shot up his arm when he touched Robin. It was was... strange, like was attracted to her like a magnet. Her eyes were so beautiful, he couldn't seem to look away. He had to shake his head clear before he could answer, her question. He cleared his throat for the fifth time. "I just needed air. My friend, she was kind of mixed up with something because of me. Uh, you could meet her if you want?" 7/28/2012 #42 |
![]() Robin eyed him for a moment, studying his face. He was gorgeous she noted, but that wasn't what she was looking for. After a few silent minutes of watching him, trying to find any traces of a lie from his features, she nodded her head. She was conviced that Trystan was a good person, at least his eyes were clear and honest. "Yeah, sure." She glanced at the dark sky that was slowly starting to soften to a light colors of red and orange. "But shouldn't we wait till she's awake? Or is she like you, already up?" 7/28/2012 #43 |
![]() As Bex was cleaning up the shattered remains of the computers, she remembered the secret room. "I forgot to tell you something." she called to her friend. Bex motioned for her to follow her. "we got real lucky that Louis didn't find this." she said as she opened a hidden trapdoor on the floor. This girl must have been wondering why Bex didn't have any personal items in the room above. The pair emerged from the now ceiling of the concrete room below. It was furnished much like that of the room above, but with only one bed up against the wall. An old laptop sat on the bed. "And this is my room." 7/28/2012 #44 |
![]() "Well... I think she needs someone right now. And I guess I got a little distracted by my own thoughts - he mussed up his hair, sporting an embarrassed look - I'm not too good at comforting people, not really good at the whole word department unless it's to make myself look like a total retard." He explained, staring at the stars. They were so peaceful, who would've known that more than half of them were dead. "Her room got trashed... because of me." He stated, closing his eyes. "I'm always trouble. No matter where I go, it chases after me." He whispered to himself. But he was sure in the silence of the night she could hear him. "So do you want -" A siren errupted in the camp, red lights flashing. --- "Nice place you got here. I've got to admit, its good that I get my own room. I'm not exactly good at the whole sharing thing." Talynne gave Bex a crooked smile. "But why the need for all this? I mean -" Talynne tensed, and a roaring siren errupted above them, a red light ferociously flashed. "Is that yours?" She yelled above the noise. 7/28/2012 #45 |
![]() Robin listened to him, letting him talk and explain, glancing at him occationally. She frowned when he told her that it was his fault that his friend's room was a mess and her scowl deepened at hearing his quiet words. She jumped slightly when the siren broke the calm of the dawn and looked up with wide, alarmed eyes. "What's going on?" She muttered to herself fiddling with the hem of her shirt. Glancing at Trystan showed her that he seemed to be as startled and confused as she. 7/29/2012 #46 |
![]() "I really don't think that's a good sign." He stared into the darkness and squinted. Trystan could hear heavy footsteps moving towards them, his heart beat fast as he grabbed Robin's hand and froze in place. The more quiet they were the less attention they would get. As soon as the the footsteps ceased, Trystan let out a relieved sigh. "What on earth? Who the heck are those guys?" 7/29/2012 #47 |
![]() Robin felt a blush climbing to her cheeks and quickly untangled her hand from his to brush it through her wild hair. She shook her head, looking at the direction where the footsteps had disappeared to. "I have no idea... Maybe they are looking for someone." She suggested and shook her head to extinguish the small spark of curiousity that told her to follow them. 7/29/2012 #48 |
![]() Bex's eyes grew wider as the siren rang. "There's a fire."she ran quickly to the trapdoor, dashing out into the open room above. there was nothing. the fire was in a different building. Jackson. Bex sprinted out the door, hoping to god that this wasn't because of him. 7/29/2012 #49 |
![]() Talynne wanted to scream what the hell was this shit. She hated feeling out of control, she chased after Bex into the night. The sight was horrifying a building was lit afire. The screams of kids, who were trapped in the building made her head hurt. The smoke filled the sky, the stars, the moon had disappeared. The menacing glow of the fires seemed to dance in the destruction. From the corner of her eye she could spot dark figures leaving the area as quick as possible, she filed it away for later. Bex motioned for her to get buckets and help her to try to put out the fire. She was obviously looking for someone, her eyes wandering in every direction. "Who the hell is going to get those people out of there?" "I will." A panting boy with glowing blue eyes exclaimed. He removed his shirt folded it up, and walked straight into the building. "Is he insane!?" Talynne said in awe. She couldn't help it, he was either really stupid or supremely brave. Bex looked as shocked as she was, before looking towards the forest again. A girl, about their age emerged seeming to be caught up in her own world for a second. Her eyes grew wide, her eyes setting on the clothes on the ground. "Well no sense in just sitting by, get as much water and buckets as you can. C'mon people." 7/30/2012 . Edited 7/30/2012 #50 |
![]() Connor was alone with his thoughts. He played his panpipes, as he tried to reach his zen. The middle of the forest was the only place he felt at home. The relaxed against the tree, he perched in and closed his eyes feeling every note. It was peaceful. Rustling interrupted his meditation. People tread heavily on the undergrowth, making so much noise that it hurt his head. He couldn't feel them, it made him uncomfortable. Were his powers dwindling? "We made those freaks pay. Now they'll know the power of the Organisation, of the humans." One of the figured pronounced with a proud, male voice. "Shut up, Mike. Someone could be listening." A serious husky female voice hissed. "They're all too busy with saving their precious research, Tess. By morning they'll see the message we left in one of their buildings. They will fear us!" The proud voice shouted the last sentence, followed by a thump. A vibration went through Connor's tree. "Someone could still be listening. Riley, Jim, Pierre, I want you to go east. Me, Helen, and Mike will go north. It'll help to confuse our scent. If you come into contact with any hostiles. Eliminate on sight." The same husky female voice, supposedly Tess. Connor knew what hostiles meant and he wasn't prepared to get caught. "Move out." Tess added with authority. Connor slinked silently to the ground, and ran towards the camp. 7/30/2012 #51 |
![]() Trystan rescued everyone, sheilding them his body. He barely felt the heat, it was all part of the deal of being a pyrokinetic. His powers could actually be used for good. He didn't need to be destructive. Bex grabbed him by the shirt. 7/30/2012 #52 |
![]() Robin had been officially freaked out when she had seen Trystan's clothes on the ground but she had been distracted from her growing fear when she was handed a bucket of water. A sigh of relief escaped her lips when she saw him walking out with the kids and to her surprise all of them were unharmed. The only thing nagging her mind was the wonder how the building had caught on fire. 7/30/2012 #53 |
![]() "I think, I may be thinking exactly what you're thinking." Talynne mused, as she stood beside the girl. Resting her arms, from the countless buckets they had carried by the time the sun rose. She squeezed her arms and stretched out her back. "Who the hell would do this?" "Thank goodness for superhunk over there." The mysterious boy was being interrogated by Bex at the very moment. Bex seemed completely unaware that he had just saved twelve people, and walked out unscathed. Hmm... Interesting, he's probably a pyrokinetic. Talynne watched his sinewy yet muscular body move, and couldn't help but be a little appreciative. She purred under her breath, she pinched herself. Not good to think about things when her new home was on fire. 7/30/2012 #54 |
![]() Robin was slightly stratled by the girl but nodded at her. She had guessed right. They were all just kids in this camp, why would someone even think of setting fire here. "Oh, Trystan?" She glanced toward him and a girl, Robin was sure she should know the name of. "I just met him this morning but I have to say he freaked me out with that stunt. But thank God he's fine...and everyone else too." She had been so afraid that he would never come back alive from the building. She shook her head and smiled at the girl. "Oh, right! Um, I'm Robin." She grinned and brushed her wet hand to her pants before lifting it up for a shake. 7/30/2012 . Edited 7/30/2012 #55 |
![]() Connor observed the chaos, as the fire slowly dwindled. He slinked behind a building, careful not to bring attention to himself. The Organisation, what a concept. Humans were actually attempting to wage war against them, against the facility. This would definitely be interesting. As he climbed onto the roof of the building, he thought of his carefully mapped plan for later. He rested against it, soaking in the sunlight of the morning. Life at the facility was certainly never boring. 7/30/2012 #56 |
![]() "Talynne Jaxyn. Great to meet you and all, wish it could've been under better circumstances." She shook Robin's hand firmly. "Is there something... going on between you and... Mr tall, dark and handsome?" She wondered aloud before she could stop herself. Talynne scolded herself for it, when she saw the girl blush a deep scarlet. "Hey, hey. I'm sorry, you don't even need to answer. It was really nice meeting you, but I could go for a shower." Talynne hadn't noticed how horribly tired she was until then. She could do for a nap before class. 7/30/2012 #57 |
![]() Robin's brains had shut down the moment the question had left Talynne's lip. She opened and closed her mouth her face feeling rather hot. "No. I'm sure he don't... I mean I-I..." She wanted to slap herself really hard right about now. There was nothig to be embarrassed about, there was nothing between them after all. "I think we all need a shower..." She sighed."I should probably get going before the classes start... If the teachers ask you've never seen me today." She grinned. She would have to find a good palce before the classes. 7/30/2012 #58 |
![]() "You were afraid to tell them you could control fire?" Bex was shocked. "Are you aware that there are kids going to this camp that turn into full fledged monsters?" She was glad her friend didn't have that power, to say the least. And unnoticed when the fact she was sort of in awe. How come everyone had such cool powers except for her? All she could do was listen to computers talk. 7/30/2012 #59 |
![]() "They could've kicked me out." Trystan said quickly. He didn't want to explain, he didn't want to remember what he'd done. "I'm not... safe. Don't you know what I'd give to have your powers. To have something that would mean I could help people. I'd die for technopathy. I'd die to be like you, like everyone else. I've always -" Trystan stopped as a girl stepped up to Bex. "Rebecca Eaton? It appears your brother has been reported missing." 7/30/2012 #60 |
