"No alcohol."Jess winked at him,before she set off.

His cheeks were probably flushing, but he liked it. Clark spotted that Superman comic book that his friend showed him. He managed to pick it up off the table closely beside his bed and started reading it. It was actually pretty good even though it was for kids.

Jess walked back in with a bunch of different food.She set his tray up,before setting the plate down."I got it from the nurses lounge,because the cafeteria food isn't fit for anything living."

Clark chuckled softly. "Anything living?" he said, setting the comic aside. "Help me sit up, please?"

Jess smiled and nodded,helping him up.

Once he sat upright, Clark picked up one of the food on the tray. "Cookie, really?" He smiled and took a small bite. "I should try stopping by that nurse lounge."

Jess laughed softly,shaking her head.

"You're not gonna help me get in just once?" he joked with her.

"I could,"Jess smiled and shrugged."If I wanted to lose my job."

His smile faltered. He didn't want to do that to her. "Oh...well, never mind," he murmured, and finished his cookie before he started eating the main dish on the tray.

"So,um,anything else?"Jess asked,starting toward the door.

Clark looked at her, setting his fork down. "Can I know more about you, jess?" he asked.

Jess' brows furrowed,and she stopped walking."Like what?"

Clark shrugged a shoulder. "I'm not sure. Maybe where you from, your family, things like that," he said.

"I'm from here.Houston,I mean."She ran her fingers through her hair."I have five older brothers.The only girl."

"That's a lot of big brothers," Clark remarked. "I have two twins. A twin brother and sister. Well, I told you about my sister being married already. I think."

"Yeah,but I love them."She pursed her lips,nodding."Yeah,you already mentioned your sister."

"It's really nice to have a big family," Clark commented, giving her a smile. "I'm guessing you're daddy's little princess? I mean in a good way."

Jess laughed,nodding."Actually,yes."

"Ah. My sister was my dad's little girl when he used to be around," he said. "I only have one sister."

"I thik it's a common thing."Jess said,with a nod.

"To have only one sister? Sorry, I feel a little slow for some reason."

Jess chuckled."No."She shook her head."Girls being their fathers' princesses."

Clark tugged a small smile. "Oh, right. I doubt that happens to boys very often," he responded. "Would be weird if I was called daddy's princess."

Jess giggled,smiling at him."Yeah,it would."

After finishing his food, Clark gently pushed the tray a few inches away from him. "Anything else we should talk about? What else do I don't know about you?"

"Nothing,I suppose."Jess smiled,shrugging."I'm pretty plain."

"So basically, I just learned everything about you?"

"All of the big stuff."Jess shrugged.

"Oh, okay then."Clark used his free hand to scratch his chin for a moment, thinking. "This probably means I shouldn't be a stranger to you, too, then, right?"
