Lady Selestyna pondered where to go for a few minutes. She snapped her fingers. Almost instantly the notebook came to a bookstore again.

Adeline walked into the bookshop, it was after school and she had half an hour before her carers came to pick her up. She looked at how much money she had, wondering if she had enough to buy a book.

Lady Selestyna's eyes sparkled in delight. She noticed another guardian walk in. Wonderful! she thought to herself.

Adeline thought of what book she wanted to read. Her dad, when he was still alive read to her from the Princess Bride. She started looking for it.

Something clicked in Lady Selestyna's mind. She remembered watching the girl's father read a book to her...

Quickly snapping her fingers, the words Princess Bride flashed onto the front of the book.

Adeline browsed through the books, and the she saw the gold lettering on the front cover. The Princess Bride. She sighed with relief and started to read the first page.

You are Miss Adelina, if I am not mistaken? The words slowly moved across the page.

Adeline gasped with shock, a book that almost knew her name. She whispered, "It's Adeline."

Adeline. My apologies.

From her place in the sky, Lady Selestyna smiled. So she herself wasn't always perfect. Lord Terrence would be thrilled to hear.

"Do what..." murmured Adeline, worried that she was going mad. I mean, talking to a book, that is the first sign of madness.

Adeline wondered what it meant. "So you seriously want me to do this?"

Yes, I do, came the words. But you will not be alone. Along with your other :ibra guardian you will have twenty two others helping you.

"I guess I can, what have I got to lose?" Adeline said while contemplating her current position in life.

Your choice will be rewarded, Lady Selestyna promised through the notebook. She smiled softly.

Adeline sighed, wondering what would happen next.

"What are they?" murmered Adeline, in complete shock.

Adeline recognized the library, she used to go there. "I can go there," she said.

A look of confusion shadowed Adeline's face. "Who's Salandra?" she asked nervously.

Adeline remembered how kind the librarian had been to her. How she had always let her borrow as many books as she wanted. "Did she know that I was a guardian?"

No. Only the stars and I know who the guardians are. And possibly my brother. But that is a different matter. Salandra is always kind to everyone. It's in her nature.

"Okay then," Adeline chirped before walking to the counter of the book shop.

The clerk looked at her. "Ready to check out?"

"Yes, just this one," said Adeline placing the notebook on the counter.

"Alrighty." The clerk nodded, taking the notebook.
