![]() What do readers think? When it comes to romance, do you like more details (i.e. describing the way the first kiss felt with five senses)? Or do you want more plot and less details, leaving it to the imagination (i.e. just "he kissed her")? More emotional detail or more physical detail? Anyone? 12/19/2007 #1 |
![]() I see that this post is extremely old and you've probably already had your question answered, but I thought I'd answer it anyways. 1/06/2008 #2I think how much detail you add implies how important the kiss was in their relationship. If it is the end all, be all kiss you definitely want to put in emotional and physical details. If it is just a kiss from lust and not love, put only physical details, maybe sprinkling in the occasional emotion, but not a "love" type of emotion. If it's just a kiss between friends that you never intend to put in a relationship beyond friends, no details is needed. Something as simple as: "He gave her a quick peck on the cheek before leaving" will suffice. Just straight romance novels typically don't have much to do with plot, so give your readers all the juicy details! |
