I tried another forum but had no luck so far. I read it awhile ago (1-2 years, I think) and don't have the link saved anywhere; this is what I remember:

It starts where the MC is a girl and she's in the woods (for some reason...) and a man finds her, takes her back home. He's a wolf, and is actually her mate. Now she's a senior maybe? and they cross paths again (though she's seen him around town, etc, I believe). For some reason I think she gets harmed or is about to, and he saves her, brings her to his home. I know at one point he takes her and drops her off at school. I think he wears sunglasses most the time. Her father is abusive (an alcoholic I believe) and gets into some trouble with people who show up at her home when she goes to pack some of her things (I think he gambled or something and they were collecting).... since I believe it was decided that she'd stay with the guy. And then she finds out what he is (gets scared and tries to run but he catches her).

A later scene is where he's trying to go back into his pack that he'd been kicked out of after being challenged by someone when he was hurt. There's a scene where she has to have sex with him in front of his pack. Also, at one point she shows her mate her back while they're on the couch, which has bad scars from her father. She also may have been picked on/or didn't have any friends. I think she had brown hair, too. The story was M. The author had quite a number of reviews, and also her own website with other fics (some published) and writing tips.
