I have been working on a story where men and women have different roles in society and in this society this is still allowed. This is NOT a travel-back-in-time story. It's a totally different society. Anyway, one day a woman from modern day America comes to this place. Her mother was a Gender studies professor at a college, so she is especially concerned with gender equality. After discovering the inequality in this society and finding three women who want to challenge the traditions, she promises to help them to do that. Her first thought is to confront the man in power of this society. This doesn't go well, so the four of them move on to plan B, which is to learn the skills that the men know without the man in power knowing about it. Eventually, one of the women does something that makes the man in power realize he was wrong to keep these women from being able to have the same jobs as the men and the division is removed.

Okay, what I need help on is thinking of scenes during the learning period. I've thought of a few, but I'd like more, so if anybody has any suggestions, please tell me.

You could put in a romance.

Maybe one of the men finds out about it and decides to blackmail the women.

One of the women does not like the newcomer and she doesn't want her involved for whatever reason. The newcomer tries to earn her respect.

Hope these helped.
