Topic: The Muse Juice Cafe
This is essentially a chat area for those who want to. Got any questions, want to talk with some of the other authors out side of other topic posts, etc. Keep it clean, but have fun. Personally, I don't mind if you topic is a non-fantasy one, this is a topic to allow you free socialization with others. This would be a great opportunity to try and find new ideas and inspiration. Get others' opinions, suggestions, comments, etc. Just enjoy ^^

Really? I check here almost every day! Maybe it's 'cause I don't post much.... -pokes at a mug of tea (I prefer tea myself... and I'm not English) -

I'm not referring to the forum being lonely, just this topic. From what I can tell, this is the most popular fantasy forum. Over 180 posts, 24 topics, 12 subscribers, and 3 (hopefully soon to be 4) moderators ^^ I'm sooo happy.

And I love my tea (green and white teas mostly with fruit flavors), but some times, nothing can replace a good cup of real Irish coffee...or a bottle of Bawls. Some times, that is all that keeps me from spending the rest of my life in my dreamlands. *dips white chocolate biscotti in coffee* My well balanced breakfast :P

Bawls! I was introduced to that over the summer, when I was on a long drive. My boyfriend offered me some of his Bawls (oh so innocently, of course) and I was quite awake the rest of the drive.

The only place I can get it here is about three hours out, though -.-

I know how you feel. I was introduced to Bawls over the summer in Minnesota with my best friend. There closest place that sells it is too far away. I had to order the Bawls off the internet; a case of 30-32 for $50.20 and it was not in the fun glass bottles, which were cheaper, I had to buy them in the cans...but I love Bawls soo much I had to ^^

Ordering it over the internet, that thought never occurred to me 0o Hmm, I don't need it enough right now to order such a quantity, but once I get back into college or whatsoever, I shall likely suscribe to it.

In the meantime, I'll rely on my black tea. :)

Icecube.. in... tea? I don't really care whether my tea is hot or cold either, but not ice-cold...ish. Normal temperature cold is okay, and so is slightly warm, hot, and so on, but not ice-cold cold.

Yup.

Well some teas like green/white tea is really good cold, but others like my rooibos don't really taste as good.

Hmm... the temp is like four degrees outside, I think I will have something hot. Stupid water takes to long to boil.

Yeah, green tea is great cold! And any fruity tea is wonderful. However, I'm not a fan of milky tea, even bubblecup. In Japan I lived on iced green tea because the hotels only gave you a certain amount of tea and I'm a three-to-seven cup a day person. My favourite sorts of tea besides green and jasmine tea are Russian caravan, oolong, lady grey, Ceylon and some fruit teas given they are not to sweet. I don't take sugar either.

Oooh chai is good hot AND cold, even with milk. I heart chai.

You've been to Japan? No fair!

Most fruit teas are to sweet for me, my favorite teas are green, rooibos and chai.

Whats bubblecup?

:P Yeah, around this time last year actually. Did a homestay. I MISS it so badly even though my luggage got lost and a mix of ridiculously early mornings and late nights as well as the plane trip made me sick. Ohh but it was wonderful! And the FOOD!!

Anyway... I've never had rooibos, but the fruit teas from this Australian brand called T2 are really nice. Not sure if you can get it elsewhere though. Maybe New Zealand?

Bubblecup is something that is incredibly popular amongst Asian girls for some reason. I think it's sort of like a tea smoothie with little balls of chewing gum or something in them. There are lots of shops for them around Melbourne, but again maybe that's only Australia and anywhere else with big Vietnamese, Chinese and Korean populations. Meh.

I want to go to Japan so bad! Please don't tell me any more, I'm so jealous!*pouts*

Now I wish I had told my brother to get me some tea from Australia when he went there. T2 is a cool brand name, have you been to New Zealand and Australia?

Tea smoothie with bubblegum in it? Strange but cool.

Here you have probably been to all these places and I'm stuck in Minnesota surrounded by barren fields and wishing for snow to come and cover it all up. O well, time to drink my third cup of tea today before I go and take care of the animals.

Wow, interesting stuff going on in here. *wonders why I never bothered to wander in here before*

Tea-wise, I'll definitely drink regular hot tea. It gives me energy spasms for some reason, especially when playing high-intensity video-games...add the right amount of sugar and drink it steaming hot, and I'm hyper for hours. As for coffee...meh, not so much. I like the smell of it though. *grins*

I put sugar and cream in mine(Unless its green.) I hope your not as scary as I am on a sugar high. (Trust me, if I get to much sugar it can be scary. Never give me powered kool-aid)XD

I've never had coffee before, but like you say it smells good. (=

I shouldn't have sugar, caffeine or MSG because they all make me crazy. Doesn't stop me though :P Iced coffee is the best thing ever! Oh so sweet though. Iced soy latte is even better!

I'm pretty crazy on a sugar high, which is added on top of my regular craziness...powdered kool-aid? What about pixie sticks? We have these giant ones, they make me go absolutely wild....I think they've been hidden from me.

I think I'm addicted to caffeine, actually...oh well, I don't mind. And I don't know too much about iced coffee...my one experience with drinking coffee was a taste-disaster, so although I'll appreciate the smell (mostly the smell of the ground beans, it's heavenly) I'll stay far, far away from the actual liquid. The smell of brewing coffee in the morning makes my shudder.

Shadowless Rain
I've never had one of those big pixie sticks but I love the little ones! (Never get them on a long car ride. You won't be able to sit still for hours.)

And what does coffee taste like? I've never tasted it before because nobody in my family drinks it. I do want to try a cappuccino some time.

Have you ever had powered tang before? It is sooo good!*Takes a big spoonful of tang* And its really good hot to(In liquid form)

I love sweet stuff but I really don't like ice cream. And my family gets really upset about it because they love it.

I feel your pain Arej. A lot of sugary stuff is hidden from me too. :(

I can't do tang. I don't know why, but I think it has to do with this nasty medicine I had to take when I was a kid that tasted like tang. Totally ruined it for me. If you are going to try coffee, I would suggest trying flavored instead of regular, because the regular can be really nasty if you get the wrong brand. Wawa has some good coffees. I like Irish coffee the most, it has a nice smooth taste. Orange, hazelnut, and wild blueberry mountain coffee is good too. It is all a matter of taste. Some people love coffee right away, some have to aquire it, and others will never like it.

Eww, tang flavored medicine. I hate medicine, all of it tastes gross. X_X *Died from nasty medicine)

Ooo wild blueberry, yum. Sorry, I love berries, every time I go in a grocery store I sit there and drool over the strawberries and blueberries.

We actually have the giant pixie sticks...I went foraging last night and found them, and I was hyper....*sigh* Oh well. It was fun, anyway. Entertaining to those around me. My sugar-high reactions are like those of an almost-drunk - a lot of giggling at random things and random statements from nowhere.

I only tried regular coffee, one of these days I should really try something else...actually, I didn't know coffee came in flavors. Heh. Shows how much I know.

Ooooh, powdered tang. That is good. Unfortunately I haven't seen any around town lately...I'll have to start really looking. I'd almost forgotten about it. I'm really obsessed with the sugary tangy stuff, but not really ice cream or chocolate (yes, I know, blasphemy....I'm ridiculed playfully by all my friends because of my lack of obsession with chocolate but my insane constant cravings for anything that tastes like lemon.)

On a note about coffee and other powdered products...beware how close you stick your nose when smelling them. Coffee grounds or powdered kool-aid lemonade is not pleasant to have up your nose. You sneeze for what feels like hours.

Hahahaha! I know how you feel. I use to work in a grocery store, and sometimes spent my lunch time shopping for fresh produce to go home later and try to make a new recipe with (I probably spent several paycheck in the place where I worked). I toy with fruits in my deserts and sometimes I make cold soups with them, like my cucumber and cantalope soup with a splash of lime that is a good refreshment during the hot summer and inbetween courses of a big meal. I have this one asparagus recipe that I am particularly proud of that even people who dislike asparagus like.

Wow. Sounds like you know your way around a kitchen. I definitely find that awesome, since I...am a disaster with anything that involves cooking. Prep I can do, decorating cakes I excel at, but actual cooking or baking? Call the fire department, please.

Fruits and vegetables are fun to play with, though.

And medicine, ewwww....I remember having to take this bubblegum-flavored stuff as a kid, it was disgusting. I didn't chew bubblegum for years.

I know, I think the only successful attempt to make a medicine kids would drink is diametap (sp?) with their grape flavor and what not.

And I am pretty bad at decorating cakes. My hands shake under pressure most of the time. I can do icing on cookies and gingerbread people, but that's about it. I am good with soups, pastas, and creating random things like one time, just for the fun of it, I chopped up some artichokes, spinach, and a few vegetables, sauteed them, and threw them in an oven bowl with stirred eggs and seasoning. Then I tossed it in the oven and waited for the eggs to cook. It came out pretty well. Cooking is not too hard when you find your rythm and expertise, and it relaxing...atleast when no one is demanding you to cook.

I love to cook. Meatloaf, stir-frys, bread(Hand-made mind you)and all that good stuff. Just keep my sister out of the kitchen when I'm cooking. -_-

I hated cherry flavored medicine. And cough medicine! What person made cough medicine?! Its like the grossest thing ever.

I enjoy cooking, don't get me wrong....it's that I can't. My mind works on this really funky wavelength which cuts out everything not immediate, meaning...well, here. One time, I was making a pot of chili. The instructions were crystal clear, I'd seen it made thirty million (exaggerating) times before, and I was really excited. I did everything right....and somehow managed to burn the chili to the bottom of the pot an inch deep. It was charcoal. And the remaining meat, even with an entire package of super spicy seasoning, still tasted like burnt cardboard. So I've given up on cooking.

Decorating I can do, though. I love decorating. There has to be a million different decorating ideas running around in my head...

I never had Dimetap...medicine is just disgusting. I started taking pills out of necessity. At least the non-chalky ones don't have a flavor to them....much. And so long as they're not chalky or unbelievably huge, they go down easier than sticky syrup.

I've never really decorated like a cake before. Sounds fun. The only food I cooked and it turned out bad was bread. its so tricky to get it just right. but I think it was a different flour I used that messed it up.

I'm so happy I can take pills now! But I hate it when people make big ones. Like I had this really cool green pill(I don't know what it was for)but it was HUGE! I don't even remember how I swallowed it.

Cakes are fun to decorate....just not when the icing is melting (as it tends to do, our house gets really hot when I'm baking/decorating). Then it's a rush to decorate before everything collapses.

Snow! That's so cool.....*sigh* I wish it would snow here...

I put the icing on the cake(And eat what ever is left of the icing) XD

Well it stopped snow and I have barely enough to turn the ground white. So sad.

Where do you live that it does not snow? (Nothing exact, just wondering)

I eat so much icing while I decorate that I can't eat the cake when I'm done.

I have family somewhere in Minnesota.....Minneaplois/St Paul area. Something like that. At least Minnesota is near the Great Lakes! Those are cool.

Mountains are so cool...and woods, too. My last experience with mountains was in Cumberland Gap last summer, and wow, it was amazing. I miss them. Although I wouldn't give up the ocean for them...the ocean is like home. Which makes even an hour's drive really hard.

Ocean and mountains? Hmm....I'm guessing somewhere on the east coast, then. Wow. Nice. Best of both worlds.

*cough* Australians all let us rejoice, for we are young and free...

I must live in a good place by your definition. Snow, forest, mountains (albeit small ones, this being the flattest continent and all), beach...

Oh wow. That's the best of all worlds right there. Ocean! Islands are so awesome....ocean all around. That has to be my favorite land form right there. The Florida Keys? Dreamland.

Although they, too, lack snow. Hmmm....seems I have a dilemma. Oh well. Hey, do you get the, erm, Southern Hemisphere version of hurricanes in Australia? Are they really intense? And (lamest question of my life) do they really spin in the other direction?

You don't have to answer, by the way...

Ooooh. I spent my summer in Minnesota with my best friends, and I did not find it boring. It was really nice out there, specially in Mankato where my friend lived, surrounded by several community colleges and MSU. I am tempted to move to Minnesota with my friends and go to college at MSU for awhile before I move to Ireland. Colorado does not sound too bad. I had a friend from California visit there and she said it was invigorating.
