Cool! OK, this sort of has to do with OAS, but whatever. Sue me. When I went camping for 4 days, some of the friends who went with me were trying to come up with names for their pet rocks (don't ask). So they asked Ms. Barb for names of characters from the book she was reading. So she started naming characters, and I was zoning out when she said Larke (yeah, it was spelled different). I was like, "OH MY GOD, ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!" Everyone stared at me, and I had some serious explaining to do. Lol. It was really funny. I'm good. ^.^

Lol, that is funny. And off topic means anything that pops into our little ole heads, so this is perfect.

Where'd you go camping? My family always goes up into the Cascades, to a place called Crescent Lake. It's pretty, but near the lake, the mosquitoes eat me alive, and away from the water the ground is so dry it's just this yellow dust. Other than that, it's great.

Cool. We went up to Hanging Rock, and we had to hike ALL THE WAY UP THE FRIGGIN' MOUNTAIN just to get there. It was really pretty. The mosquitoes weren't out yet, but we did see raccoons! I told one of my friends about Schaff and how they would get along great. She said your story sounds interesting. -winks- Maybe I'll get her to read it. lol

By the way, the weather in the capital of Spain (Madrid) is mostly cloudy, around 46 degrees Farenheit with a visibility of 6.21 miles. Need I go on...? Isn't Yahoo Weather great? Lolz.

Woohoo, another fan, lol. I had to google Hanging Rock to figure out where it was. The pictures are very pretty. We have a raccoon that hangs out in the tree in front of our house - it killed a family of squirrels last year =( Schaff is a lot like a raccoon, isn't he?

Yep, we had some possums at our old house and my dad caught one by leaning a trash can on a plank of wood and putting a trail of fruit leading into the can. But the possums stayed away once we got our cats. :) Now that I think about it, Ruby (one of my cats) and Schaff would get along great. So if Schaff ever needs a hot date....lol. Ruby is so gonna scratch my face off for that. XO

We had a pet possum for a while. Creepy looking things, with their naked ears and all those sharp teeth. Ours was young when a friend's dog's cornered it in her backyard. She thought it got hurt and put it in a box and called us, 'cause we take in all kinds of injured and orphaned animals. I raised a pair of baby starlings and released them into the wild last summer, and a few years before that, we rescued a baby blue jay.

Schaff definately needs a date, lol. Maybe then he wouldn't be such a pain.

I asked Ruby if she wanted to go on a date, but she just licked herself at me. -.-;; Whatever. I rescued a cat once. He was deaf though, and he got sick so he died. T.T Yeah. I'm going to be random now, but does anybody watch House? Or Lost? Or anime in general (like on Adult Swim)? :)

Gosh. I think I'm jealous. This forum is overflowing, but only one person has been on my forum. -.- I think maybe it's karma. Now I just need to figure out what I did......

Yeah, rescuing animals can be heartbreaking when they don't make it. I was hand-raising a baby squirrel that fell out of it's nest, but it didn't survive. I love Lost! I don't watch House because it's opposite something else ... can't remember what ... I love anime, too, but we don't have cable, so I can only watch Adult Swim when I'm house-sitting for someone who does have cable. (I do a lot of house-sitting in the summer.)

I posted, heehee. Actually, I'm surprised I've had this much traffic. Sometimes, I can barely keep up the posts.

Lost is awesome! They play it in Italy, where my relatives live, and they watch it, too, but since they have to do voice-overs, they're a season behind us, I think. So my mom tells my aunt what's gonna happen so she can win bets and stuff. :) lol

It's too late! The sugar is already in my system! I make dolls. Maybe I'll make some character ones. What color is Lark's hair? I have yellow yarn and brown yarn and green yarn and ALL COLORS IN THE WONDERFUL RAINBOW SPECTRUM OF AWESOMENESS!!!

Okay, now I have to do it, lol. And Lark's hair is a brownish-gold when it grows out. Hmmm, I'm going to have to make the Sactaren doll with velcro on his head, and several different heads of hair ...

-laughs- Velcro head! Yep. I shall make these when I have time. Now that i have a sewing machine, I will actually have the patience to make their clothes instead of just naked dolls like I used to.....until my teacher made me make clothes.....by hand. XP

ooh, dolls! That reminds me of the time when I sewed this inuyasha outfit.... it was about ten cm in height (erm... around 4 inches? :|, sorry metric user), totally cute and to scale... took me a loong time though.

but hey, if you had a line of dolls for your story, i'd totally buy a set :D

Ooh, merchandising! Dolls and lunchboxes, towel sets and baseball caps ... lol. Maybe I should get the books published first. Wouldn't it be weird, though, if in a few years, I answer the door one Halloween night and there's Lark and Sactaren staring back at me. I think I'd die.

Hmmm, you make a good point, lol.

Though, we do get a lot of teenagers around here - 17, 18, 19 - that come by after the little kids are in bed, carrying an old pillowcase, their faces smudged with soot, just to clean up any leftover candy we might have. They don't even bother with costumes, so ... yeah, probably not going to happen XD

hehe. Yeah, Shuichi's hair in the anime scares me for some reason. Other than that I'm cool with it. Know what it's about, haven't read it, though. Speaking of cosplay...........you guys know the anime/manga Full Metal Alchemist? Once I dressed up as Envy. -snickers- I think I did a good job! Or just made myself look like an idiot.

Yeah, 'cept for the fact that Envy is a guy and has dark green hair. XO I do not have green hair, and last time I checked I wasn't a guy either. Lolz.

The first time I saw Shuichi I thought, "OMG, he's gay! Just look at his hair! It's pink!" I didn't even really need confirmation, either. lol

Mostly blind, yes. Last time I had my vision checked, they said it was 20/400 in my right eye (perfect vision being 20/20). So, yeah, depth perception is a **.

It wasn't really mean, RoseRedSnowWhite. What's mean is when my family throws stuff to/at me knowing I can't catch it, lol. So don't cry. I don't. I've been like this all my life, so I'm pretty much used to it. It would be nice to be able to catch, and enjoy 3D movies, and drive a car, but it doesn't bother me that much. I can still do the important things, like write. XD

You can't drive? That sucks. Me neither. If you ever hear of a million car pile-up in a couple of years, it was probably my fault. lolz. If it makes you feel any better, I had a firecracker blow up in my eye (twice), so now that eye has worse vision than my other one. BD (it's a person with glasses!)

Don't ask how I managed to have two firecrackers blow up in my eye. It was sheer stupidity.

In reading class today the teacher said we had to draw any scene from the book we were reading. I finished, and then my teacher asked me to draw a background. Guess what I drew?

Yep, I drew Naeven's castle. It looks like it's squinting at you, and it's got a little flag on the top that says 'Traxen'. I even drew Naeven in the window!!!

Great new chapter by the way. I do not like the Council members. That is a horrible thing to do to someone!! Especially repeatedly for a long time. I gagged on my applesauce at lunch thinking about it. I don't even know how I managed to choke on applesauce!!

QUICK EVERYONE, WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE COLOR?!?! Mine's purple. 8D

Yes, the Council majority are horrible people. A few are descent, but most of the time, they just go along with whatever everyone else wants to do.

My favorite color is ... blue. Which might explain why Naeven's favorite color is blue XP

It's weird how authors have weird relationships with their characters. For example, two of my characters are complete opposites, one is like me regularly, and the other is like me when I'm either mad, irritated, or just feeling sarcastic. Is sarcastic even a feeling?

Yes, sharks are my absolute favorite animals. I have a big shark poster hanging above my bed and half a dozen stuffed sharks and a shark tattoo, so ... yeah, my favorires ^_^

In the salamander adventure in the first book, Naeven takes off his hair before he enters the fire. He's not just bald, his whole scalp comes off. Some kind of magic accident years ago, I think.

Yeah, I'd say he has at least half a dozen heads of hair, maybe more. They do get trashed on occasion, so he has to get new ones every now and then. I wish I could have watched Shark Week, but we don't have cable or anything. T_T

I think he'd prefer the term 'prosthetic' lol

Dragons are awesome. I have dragons in my story, they just haven't shown up yet. I believe the first appearance is in book 5. Her name is Mahkyn.

Hailing? Track practice? -snorts- Wow. It was raining like crazy over here a couple days ago. There are dragons plastered all over my walls. I told one of my friends about Jan and she was all quiet and her eyes got really big. lolz
