Topic: Weapons Training Salle

It was an empty barn, complete with horse stalls and a hay loft. And it would stay that way until Adrian Keary had the chance to claim it as his classroom and new home.

"Hello! Hello?" Siren walked into her first classroom. But it wasn't realy a classroom. It was a stable. "Funny joke on the new kid." She slumped down onto a pile of hay. A hoarse walked over and nudged her. She looked up and petted his nose.

"What's rong?" He asked

"I jus-did you just say something?"

"Ya, what about it?"

"I can't spaek to animals!"

"I can speak to people."

"How!?!"

The hoarse turned into a boy. "That's how!" He gave her a funny little smile. "I didn't weant to come in here as a boy because I was afraid thet I would scare you. Guess I did anyway huh."

"Oh no! You took me by serprise! How old are you?"

"9. Why?"

"What are you doing here?"

"I work here as a stable boy. Or did till they siold all the hoarses. Now I just kinda live here."

"Oh. Well I can get you enrolled and into a real room if you like!"

"That would be lovely! Thank you." He took her hand and she walked him to the enrollment office.

They went back to the classroom and waited for the teacher.

It was neer noon and the teacher never came, so the two of them decided to go and get some fod, and then come back later.

Adrian Keary faded out of the shadows, bemused at the spectacle he had just seen. This boy lived in the stable? Well, not anymore. Adrian would make certain that he was the only one living in the Salle.

Adrian made a motion like he was pulling down a zipper in the shadows behind him, and a hole appeared in the shadows, filled with true darkness and the clatter of weapons.

Adrian grimaced and got to work. It took an awful long time to organize a horse barn with weapons. He left the horse stalls where they were, and hung weapons up on the wall. A trio of quarterstaffs were propped up against three corners of one of the stalls. A pair of battleaxes were pinned with nails and leather straps to the wall of another. Broadswords hung point-down from the opposite wall in a similar fashion, and lighter swords opposite the quarterstaffs. Adrian leaned against the entrance to the salle, and looked upon the space he had chosen, and saw that it was good. He smiled, and closed and locked the doors behind him. It didn't do any good to leave weapons around where anyone could find them without observation and instruction.

"I'm off to dinner," Adrian said, for the benefit of anyone listening. The shadows were lengthening, and soon he would have to walk like other people, for night had its own immunity to shadow. "Anyone who touches a single weapon while I'm gone will lose a hand when I get back, or worse."

Alessa left the dining room and headed outside. Seeing the stable she walked over and went inside. She saw swords, battleaxes, and ...quarterstaffs. Using one of the many abilities she had, she watched what had occured in the stable. Apparently they had a weapons teacher...and that teacher had made a warning that touching weapons meant losing a hand or worse. Alessa simply smiled and walked over to the quarterstaffs, picking one up.

Xavix entered the stable. She saw Alessa standing over by the weapons and watched her pick one up. (What's a quarterstaff? Is it just like a staff?)

Siren and Prance wern't far behind. They both walked in, but about half way there, Prance went back. He didn't like it there because of what the man said to him. Siren measrly rolled her eyes and continude. "So! What are you up to?" She said to the startled girls. 'Busted!' she thought to herself.

"I thought the teacher said that we weren't allowed to touch the weapons when he wasn't here." Siren just knew that would get them. She liked being good, when other people where at falt that is.

Dreaming June

Viv entered the weapons training salle and looked around. Ooh weapons. This was what she really wanted to learn about, especially since her powers weren't much use in battle..and that she didn't have fantastic control over them. "So...no lesson then?" She asked the room in general.

"OK, we got waaaaaaaay to many people in here. So I guess it's OK! Who wants to battle me!?!" Siren yelled. Prance had come in and snuck past all the kids to his little crawle space and went to sleep.

"Someone here must be good with lockpicks," Adrian said, appearing out of the shadows. The students were startled, and looked at him in fear or outright disdain. "Everyone stop where you stand. Put the stick down, girl. I'd hate to have to break such a pretty wrist."

"Well, glad our teachers are such rays of sunshine," Liza remarked quietly, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. She couldn't underestimate anyone here. And she could learn a lot about how she could use her powers from this guy. Still... "No need to break anybody's wrist." She tried to keep her voice level. "We were just checking things out. Maybe wondering when we'd learn something here."

Prance woke up but never left his hole. It was the one thing here that was unoticed and unborded. Siren turned slowly to face the teacher. She then turned back and whispered her little chant as a small black hole apaered. She dragged it to a corner and hoped he couldn't see. Slowly she crept in, but half way there, someone noticed.

Charlie saw Siren getting eaten by a black hole, thought Lorelie was ticked at her or something and barked an alarm as he ran to her and yanked her out of it.

Gracie walked into the room, looking around carefully for the Demon Bunny. It was no where to be found, but that big doggie was there! *Goodie* she thought and rushed forward, only to crash into the back of a scary looking man.

Liza snickered as the eccentric-looking girl crashed into the teacher. Poor man. Today just wasn't his day, was it?

"Hey Charlie," she smiled at the dog. She looked at the disheveled Siren, and the black hole she'd just nearly been sucked into. "I think you should thank him. Busy day, huh?"

"Thank him?! That was my one way out of here and now it's gone for another 3 hours! And you say I should thank him!" Siren screamed as the hole vanished. "What ev-" Her voice broke as she looked up and saw Will. "Hi." Was all she could get out. He was just so dang dreamy! "Oh! Your dog. Sory for yelling at him." She looked back down, to embarased to look back up.

Liza rolled her eyes. "Yeah... in case you haven't looked up black holes, they can take even the magically inclined ANYWHERE. Besides... if you stuck around here, you could find a way to stop a dog from keeping you in." She smiled. "Hey, Will. This Lorelie controls black holes, hmm? Can't say I've seen anyone with that power myself."

"Black holes?" Vivienne raised an eyebrow. "Isn't this a weapons class?" She looked around and pet the dog again. He was so cute. "Who's Lorelie? Big bad?"

Liza gave a confused shrug, and scratched Charlie behind the ears, sympathetic to his plight.. "If she can create black holes..." Liza smirked. "This school will be very interesting."

"It's not a black hole! It's a portal! And I created it!" Siren yelled at them. She turned to the corner and began to cry silently.

"Ok then," Liza replied, arching one eyebrow. "Sensitive, aren't you?" She turned to Viv and once again shrugged, this time helplessly, then turned to Siren. "Um, if you're going to play the damsel in distress role, I'm not so sure if it'll work here. Maybe you won't be getting out of this place as soon as you want to; deal with it and start learning." She kept her voice level. "I understand if you may not like it here now, but crying isn't going to solve anything, is it?"

Bella walked into the room, raising her eyebrows. She found a crying girl, a dog, a boy, a teacher, a slightly annoyed-looking girl, and another, also slightly annoyed girl. As well as a... what WAS that little boy? Finally, she noticed a slightly crazy-looking girl.

'This looks like our kind of school!' Li squealed enthusiastically.((If you haven't looked at the enrollment thing, Li is basically Bella's twin, but in the same body. She occasionally takes her own shape, and is constantly speaking to Bella in her mind.))

"Um... hi?" Bella's voice was hesitant.

Siren looked up with no trace of tears. Yes, she had been crying, but it was a little trick her "father" taught her. Mostly because you never want to show fear, or emotions for that matter, to a foe and so on. She decided to ignor the coment. This world was so different. She felt alive here. She felt so many new things, like anger, fear, saddnes, and even love. Things she had only dreamed of feeling as she watched this world through her portal. It was so amazing, and yet very hard. She had expected these things, but not so quickly! It was wonderful though.

Liza sighed. Drama queens. Showing no emotion while faking emotion... interesting... She turned to Bella and looked her up and down. The shy type, that was clear, but Liza could sense the darkness in her... but was it HER own darkness, or somebody else's? That was confusing. "Hey, I'm Liza."

((Wait a second--Siren can't know a trick her father taught her, because she has no past, according to her bio. Not that she knows of. You might want to redo your post, since she supposedly just walked off the street. You might also want to explain how a person can show no emotion, but FAKES it. That doesn't make sense at all.))

(first of all, i said "father" not father. the "" means it's not her real father, just the man that found her and took care of her. Second of all, she was showing emotion, she just didn't have any tears. She made them go away so that anyone who was just coming in wouldn't know she was crying. In her "world" no one shows emotion but her cuz she's not from that word by birth. Understand?))

((Um... no offense, but not quite. "Crying" means tears... dry sobbing is crying without tears, specifically. And you might want to edit your bio, since it's confusing. She doesn't know anything, and yet she refers to a "father". Things kind of need to be explained like that... such as "her world". Or else people just get sorta puzzled.))

((ok, i changed da bio, and the trick is to make the tears vanish. She was crying with wet tears, but if you've eever loked in a mirror after crying, you see little streams running down your face. She on the other hand, has a trick that lets her get rid of those without needing to wipe her eyes! Understand now?))

Vivienne looked up at the new girl. "Hey, I'm Viv." When was the weapons class going to start? Viv was actually excited to learn something for once and nothing was even happening.

"Um, hi? I'm Siren." Siren was quite unrecognized to this form of greating. Who walks up to a random person and says "Hi! I'm so-and-so"? But it didn't matter, she was sure she had done it oncew or twice aswell. "Um, where did the teacher go? This class realy needs to get started!" Siren looked around for the teacher but didn't see him. So she walked over to the weapons and picked out a nice long sword. She didn't plan to do anything with it without the teacher, she was mearly taking this moment to truly examin the magnifacent work of art. What she did do though was take one of the flip daggers (there kinda like a switch blade with a bigger blade, jsyk)and shove it into a pocket.

Charlie went over and sniffed the new dog. 'Okay--little boy turns into dog. Wonderful.' he thought sarcastically. He looked over at his brother who was going all transparent surrounded by this many girls. 'What a dork' he thought and padded into the crowd of females giving off a basic "pet me" vibe.

Will leaned over to whisper to Siren "Do you know how to use that?"

"Use what? The sword? Ya! I use these all the time. It was part of my training before I came here," she wispered back. "What's happening to you!" She gasped, shocked by his sudden disapearing. 'Great, I'm inlove with a ghost!' She thought to herself.

During all this, Prance was enjoing the atention given to him by the girls. He had never been this loved! 'What's wrong with me bein' a dog?' he asked the other one. 'And I'm sure if your brother could understand you, he would have given you the boot a long time ago!'

"Yes. Is she a girl friend?" Siren asked, a hint of both jelousy and malice in her voice. Now was not a good time to discuss this for two reasons, one: she had a sword, and two: too many wittnesses.

Prance came over to Liza's feet and looked up at her with those puppy eyes. He let out a pathetic, yet irrisistable yip and started wagging his tale. 'That's how you get a girl,' he stold Charlie. 'That and be a cute little golden reatriver like me.' He let out another yip, but as more of an "I'm better than you" than a "hold me".
