![]() Hello there! Would anyone happen to know an excellent website which could help me understand Poland before and during World War II? Primarily, I'd like this question to be answered: Did the Polish know that Hitler was planning an attack? I imagine they must have had some suspicion, but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 5/28/2009 #1 |
![]() Try Wikipedia as a good springboard for further information and yes Poland had a suspicion that Germany would attack and indeed that the Soviets would attack. :) 7/05/2010 #2 |
![]() If you'd really like to delve into this subject, a wonderful book to read would be In My Hands by Irene Opdyke. It's her true story living in Poland during the war. Very powerful and informative read, and very much real and true. So if you're looking for a normal citizen's perspective some research like this might be your best bet. Good luck! (: 7/15/2012 #3 |
