A little about me:
I'm an eighteen year old female who loves to play soccer, read, and write. I'm in my first year of college and next year I'll be transferring to the same university my sister's at. Life's about to get pretty hectic with exams coming up, and then I'm taking seventeen hours next semester, so if I'm not around much you'll know why. I live in the South and mostly reside in my room, where my no-good cat sometimes decides to visit me. I only have one sister who also happens to be my twin (stormsight ffn.net, FA, and here). I love to help so if you need any thing e-mail me and I'll try to help!
On original fiction/fanfiction:
I have to admit that I haven't really spent any time in original fiction since it split from fanfiction.net. I was never much of a fan of it before the split, so I suppose that's not too surprising though. After almost six years in fanfiction though, I'm starting to get tired of the same old things. Sorting between the good and the bad, the original and the cliche, and all of that has been very tiring. Then the idea came to me to come check out fictionpress, since I've never really explored around here. It helps that the set up it like ffn.net, but I'm still getting used to the categories. I'm hoping that original fiction will be able to keep my attention, because fanfiction just hasn't been able to lately. Now that doesn't mean original fics won't have some of the same shortcomings as fanfiction, but I can always hope. I'll be able to elaborate more on that after I've spent some time around here.
About what I like to read:
After looking at my bookshelf, I figured out that I primarily read fantasy. I already knew that, but I really thought I had more science fiction than I do. So my main interests are fantasy and science fiction, along with some mystery and action/adventure. Historical fiction can be okay, but that just depends on the period of time. About my writing:
Right now Healer's Vale is the only writing I have here. I started it back in eighth grade and haven't touched it in years. I'm hoping to go back and work on it, but I have two other works in mind first. I think all three are going to intersect, or be based in the same place, but I'm not sure on too many details yet. I'm a rather slow writer, and I don't force myself to write. I write when I have an idea or when I feel like it, but right now that's all. When I really have something going I think it will be different, but I'll just have to wait and see.
In the meantime, you might want to check out one of my works over at fanfiction.net. All of them are one-shots, none of them very long. And except for two reflective pieces, all do include a slash pairing. That's just fair warning for you; I'm primarily a slash writer althought I read both and have written both (the het stuff just isn't posted, but I'm working on that). Healer's Vale is a het work though, and only one of the two bouncing around in my head is slash. The other would not have a main romantic pairing.
