What's my name? Devonny Auriel. Sort of. Ehhh, not at all. But I like it more than my real name. c:

I'll be 21 this June but most of my stories posted were written from the ages of 13 to 16. This includes To Love Is . . . Something or Other and To Stay Below The Sea. I am not very proud of them, but at the same time I love them. Please do not judge me based off the writings of either of these stories. They do not represent my current level of writing.

I live in Seattle, Washington, and I go to the University of Washington . . . for now. I'm actually thinking of transitioning schools (for the third time, whoops) so perhaps, come January, I'll be on the other side of Washington living the country life. (By the way, Washington is fun. It's not full of vampires but we do have the sea, the mountains, forests, farm life, and a major city.)

I love 30 Rock, Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother, and most things by Joss Whedon. I write romance, but in truth I am anything but romantic in real life. One of my best friends tells me I have no heart, to be precise. But I think being cynical is much more fun, because, for some reason, it makes writing romance that much more fun.

My favorite authors are Sarah Dessen, J.K. Rowling, and . . . various other people. I really don't tend to get into authors, rather, I just like random books. Sarah Dessen is the only one who I religiously follow. I mostly read young adult books because that's the genre I want to write. My all time favorite books are "The Princess Bride", "Wasted", "This Lullaby", the Harry Potter series (too much), "The Poisonwood Bible", the Percy Jackson series, and "The Iliad".

Ask me any questions you like and I'll gladly answer. I just don't find myself have much interesting things to say about myself and thus have a boring profile.

Helllooo and thank you for visiting my profile. c: I've been updating pretty consistently and I hope to do so because NaNoWriMo has officially begun and I'm writing "Glances Into the Minds of the Unfortunate" for it. (I expect it'll be longer than 50,000 words so I just started counting from the first of November. Good luck to everyone else is doing it! I don't know if I'll update as soon as chapters are finished because the editing process might take a bit longer, but I'm figuring there will be 1-2 chapters a week, hopefully.

I'm working on some character pictures for all of my Seattle Universe stories (Get Mad, Food Analogies, Marina, and Glances) so hopefully I'll be done with those soon. It's just so hard to find pictures. And my computer got virused up the other day and I hate to completely reboot so I lost a lot of pictures. Oh well. It's kind of fun, even though I end up settling on someone and thinking "Not what I envisioned at all."

I'm also thinking about doing a couple different one-shots. I won't post the one regarding Riley/Logan until half way into Glances, if not when it's finished, but I have one completely unrelated to the Seattle Universe, too.
