"Project 56" (working title)
The premise was simple enough: not-so-human girl lands in a spoiled, rich pretty-boy's balcony. On any other day he would have thrown her back out. Or, she could have landed elsewhere, in any one of the 7,000+ islands that made up the archipelago - any other province, any other city, any other house. Serendipity is a strange thing.

(T, ongoing, off FP. This is my latest project, one that I hope will eventually turn into a full-length novel. It's also my tribute, in a way, to my homeland, as most (if not all) of the story will take place in the Philippines.)

"Miasma" (manga-novel)
10,000 years ago, when magic and science existed side by side in their infancy, a bloody war broke out that would shatter the unlikely peace. A dark sorcerer and an ice mage, former friends turned hostile, place themselves on opposing sides of the war and end it in a single magical duel that destroyed whatever magic remained from the known world. Victory went to the ice mage, but not after her defeated enemy planted a fatal curse on her bloodline: that every generation, for 500 to come, would yield a similar ice mage to carry out a haunting replay of the bloody duel after death...in the realm of the roaming dead where the dark sorcerer now resides.

...Now, 10,000 years later, the last of the doomed line-up is an oblivious happy-go-lucky schoolgirl failing History, not knowing her mother has already been claimed by the curse...one that has now been passed to her: Ayami has it all normal and ordinary (rather boring) until she meets the comical but charmingly mysterious Keiku. What follows is a whirlwind of battles, revelations, and painful confrontations from both sides as she struggles to come to terms with her past and seal the time-long curse embedded in her blood...not an easy task. But with Water at her side, and likewise a handful of warriors fighting for their own reasons, life can't be all that bad...can it? Oh, yes it can...with a maniacal sorcerer on her tail, the type of luck that can't make up its mind, and Cupid's arrow wound seeming to bite her every time she looks at the boy who dragged her into it all...

"The Forbidden Fruit"
For as far back as he can remember, Luke has been "open", able to sense and interact with (among others) his guardian angel Samuel, Death, and the Devil himself. In their company, and with his humanity shoved in his face simply by knowing them, he jumps at the chance when the Devil offers to grant him a request on his 21st birthday: despite Samuel's warnings, he asks to be able to surpass his limits by being able to know what truth is, and to be able to seek meaning in all things.

Somehow, barely days later, he finds himself in the company of a boy who claims to speak the truth (but says nothing else) and a girl who annoys everyone by replying to whatever they say with "So why is it important?" or some derivative of it. And with the chaos that unfolds, Luke soon comes to realize that he may have gotten much, much more than he bargained for.

9/24 - revisions/prettifying of ALL chapters of Miasma now complete! yayyy me. also, totally revamped the layout/format so that it looks cleaner, especially on wide screens

9/20 - chapter 31 of Miasma is now up, sorry for the delay; chapters 1 through 16 and 26 onwards have been revised. Because I'm weird that way, I'm doing revisions from two ends, and will probably end up revising Chapters 22 or 23 last. Haha.
