Author has written 11 stories for Sci-Fi, Life, General, Humor, General, Young Adult, Kids, and Fantasy. "Everyone is the hero of his or her own story" Being a writer is tough on its own. Being an impulsive teenager can lead a person to throw herself into a situation out of which she cannot escape. Publishing NIKHADAKIERA: THE IMPROVISERS The story that was once a fictionpress posting is now a novel available at the iuniverse bookstore: http://www.iuniverse.com/bookstore/book_detail.asp?&isbn=0-595-31110-5 Check it out. It's a story that begins with a box. An alien box revealing the plans for a starship: Nikhadakiera. It's the story the ensuing interstellar mission that goes terribly wrong when the starship is pulled into another galaxy and cut off from Earth. But more importantly, it is the story of a motley crew of improvisers who have neither official training nor experience. When they find themselves lost and entangled in an interplanetary war, the only person they have to turn to is the bold but rash Commander John Vance. At first glance, he is the archetypical space hero. Tall. Strong. Daring. But John has one potentially fatal flaw that could spell doom for all who depend on him. However, John is not the only person determining the fate of the starship. Hanging by him whether he likes it or not is the reckless young Pilot Jackson Dover, and whispering ethics into his ear is the cybernetics officer Suzanne Thiviers. There's also the extremely absentminded lead scientist, Professor Eliot, the always-ready tech officer Lidan Zhou, and his antithesis: the overcautious security chief Alex Smith. This team of explorers, peacemakers, fighters, and adventurers are joined by the multitalented alien Dr. Lozane Desae and the mysterious Amileya Zanukin, whose motives and energies lay hidden beneath her innocent appearance. What lies in store for John and his crew is beyond what anyone could ever have expected. Maybe that's the reason everyone gives. For me, writing is more than telling a story or completing an assignment or satisfying an ambition. It's my way of travelling the universe and having adventures without ever leaving the desk. If anyone can hear me: please review what I've written. They've been rotting for months, years. If it's too much, just skim and write a comment. That's all I ask. So come on down. Don't be narrow-minded. *Currently, Starline is on standby in the editting process. The first half has been editted, the second half (chapter 13 and up) is still in its roughest draft *A Land of Mind is being rewritten. Anyone who has any suggestions, feel free to email me at fterraway@hotmail.com and include fictionpress in the subject so I don't confuse it with junk mail. | |||||||||
