**NOTE TO READERS** My poem/story "There We'll Be" has been removed temporarily as i am submitting it to my local literary journal. **END NOTE**

wow, ok, so i havent updated this in awile, so here goes. i'm 18 years old (soon to be 19) and on my way to being a photographer. i go to a little photoschool which is pretty much photo boot camp-- i love it. even though i'm sure you've noticed, i feel the need to mention that my presence here is.. infrequent... although i plan on trying to post more soon. however, because of the intense work level i am currently living with, writing cannot be my first priority. the good news, however, is that when reviews are sent to my inbox i realise people are reading my stuff and that maybe i should put more up... so if you like my work, let me know, (constructive criticism is also appreciated) because its a huge motivator. and thank you to the people who still take the time to read my stuff even though i havent posted anything new in awhile.

i am fascinated with people, i like to write pieces that explore humanity and take photojournalistic photographs. Both mediums have basically the same core function to me; an exploration of humanity, just one is with words and one is through visual images.

i am also a strong supporter of homosexual rights, i believe all people should be treated equally and that it is wrong to discriminate against anyone for any reason. As a result many of my stories (particularly "There We'll Be" and "Bruised Reflection") portray homosexuality, if that bothers you, just don't read them, i always warn people as it is not something some are comfortable with.

reviews are always welcome. i will ignore flames as they are not useful in any way. constructive criticism pointing out what i did good and what could be better is always appreciated as are ideas/suggestions. I will consider everything you say in a review, whether i use your suggestion is another story. I also encourage you to email me to talk about anything related (tangently or directly) to my writing or writing in general. i love to hear from other members and authors/esses from around the world.

happy reading and writing, all!

recommendations: (besides those under my favorite authors/stories)
authors:
Barbara Gowdy- excellent canadian novelist, strange concepts in her stories and beautifully worked plots and characters, my personal favorite author

Books-
"Diary of a Married Call Girl" by Tracy Quan- an at times hilairious look at the life of a call girl living in Manhattan and how she divides her time between her customers and her husband. "Mister Sandman" by Barbara Gowdy- a strange family and their musical genius mute daughter who eventually spills all of the families many secrets, an absolutely incredible book

"The White Bone" by Barbara Gowdy- a novel told in the point of view of a herd of African elephants, another incredible book

anything by Barbara Gowdy- i have yet to read one if didn't like

"Wasted" by Marya Hornbacher- a memoir of anorexia and bulimia, wonderfully done and engaging

"A Clockwork Orange" by Anthony Burgess- wonderful use of language, interesting through and through, major plus points for the creative language

"The DaVinci Code" by Dan Brown- a stunningly wonderful thriller, a beautifully crafted novel. plus points because it pissed off a lot of chrisitians who take themselves too seriously.
