Deep Space Nine fiction. The Tolkien stories weren't planned as a series, but you can read them that way. Start with 'Death by Water', then 'What the Thunder Said', and go onto 'The Fire Sermon'. 'A Game of Chess' comes later on. 'The Burial of the Dead' runs alongside the first two, but probably best to read it last. 'Lady of Silences' is a companion piece to it. The other stories stand alone. Other things Altariel does: has a Dalek in her living room; intermittently writes up her PhD thesis (on the sociology of new technology and the web); writes about online communities; watches a lot of films; drinks a lot of coffee.
