About me? I'm just a 19-year-old female from the American Midwest (the corn, it haunts me... deliver me from this maze of maize...) who likes to write. I've been writing fanfic for 6 years, since I was 13, and have run a regular gauntlet of genres since then.

Genres I Dabble In:

Sonic the Hedgehog: Aww, nostalgia. This is what originally got me into fanfiction. Though I'm not much into reading it on ff.net, as most of it here is set in the Adventure universe. I tend to appeal more toward the SatAM continuem, or even the Archie comic if I manage to stomach the plot holes. =/ But even if there isn't much to see on this site, IMHO, I would recommend looking around in other places on the net. Some authors I'd particularly recommend are Daniel Drazen, Jason Northage, or Robert Brown & Francis Tolbert.

Harry Potter: Yeah, I'm a Potterholic. Proud of it. =) Most of what I post here on ff.net revolves around this genre. Though I tend to keep my feet firmly planted on the deck of the H/G ship, unlike what some people might say (Runechild =), I have been known to hop into a dinghy or two and row out to do my own thing. As can be seen below in my fic list, I sometimes toy with Harry/OC pairings - a specific OC, primarily - but I also have a couple more in my head that would not only never make it onto the Gryffindor Tower site, but would probably piss off the Queens to no end. *bows low in supplication* Forgive me. =)

Anime, Various: Half my time spent perusing this site is spend in the Anime section. As you can probably tell from my favorite fics list, I regularly read stuff from Dragonball Z (mainly Gohan-centric, especially good G/V fics), Ranma 1/2 (damn, is there some good stuff to read in this genre... if there are any Ranma fans out there that ever need something new to read, get ahold of me and I'll point the way to some of my non-ff.net favorites), Rurouni Kenshin (this series is what most of my money is going toward these days... mmm, long-haired bishounen...), and Inuyasha (got a fic in the works for this one, it should be out soon, and it's really twisted... bwahaha. =).

Well, I've had it with myself. As you've probably all guessed by now, I'm not very good at the whole regular-updating schtick, so from here on in my plan is thus: I'm just going to toss up everything I have so far (or, at least, everything I consider decent enough to see the light of day =), whether it be one chapter or many, and hopefully, I'll get pestered enough that I'll update just to get some peace. ^_^ Sound good?

About My Fics (Extra Details, Status, Etc.):

Give Me Wings: This is, by far, the fic I've got the greatest hold upon. For the most part, I know what I want to happen when I want it to happen. There's action, adventure, romance, mystery, and more. The cast of characters is colorful - Sirius Black and Molly Weasley play two of the more important roles, for example - and there's even a sequel planned... that is, if I ever get through this one. The problem is, this fic is my baby. As such, I can't bear to release a chapter unless it's attained perfection, or as close to it as I can get. Bottom line: going will be slow. At this point, Chapter 2 is close to being finished... but then, I've been saying that for quite a few months now. *sigh*

Catachresis: I absolutely love writing James, and this fic is definitely no exception; I mean, what's more fun than making James deal with the ups and downs of being feline, having adventures with the animal population of Hogwarts, and devising ways of throwing Ginny and his son together? I certainly can't think of anything. =) Right now, this fic is coming along the easiest. Chapter 4 is close to completion. However, as per my usual routine, I make no promises - it gets done when it gets done.

All That She Wants: This fic came to me in a burst of inspiration late one night. After a cup or two of tea and a night of foregone sleep, I sat back, read over the newly completed first chapter, and thought to myself, "What the HELL did I just write?!" Since I released this (it was first posted on the QoHG Yahoo!Group), the responses have been mixed: while some are intrigued, some are quite disturbed by the picture of Ginny that I have painted. All I can say right now to quell fears is, all is not what it seems. As I've put priority on other fics, I can't really say as to when the next chapter will be coming out. *shrug*

Fine: This is... well, really I don't know what to say about this fic, other than it's set during the Sept. 11th attacks. And yes, your eyes do not deceive you, it IS a Harry Potter fic. Give it a go, it might make you think a bit. As one of my RL friends said when she got to the end: "What the...?" This is a one-shot; unless I go back one day and revise it - which is quite possible, as I'm not really happy with it in its current form - this one is finished. Wow, a finished fic... who woulda thunk it? =)

The Seeker: My first Harry Potter fic, and one of the few that I've written that isn't H/G. On semi-permenant hiatus, as I've realized I don't much like working in reverse chronological order. I'll be working on 'King's Crossed' before I come back to this one. Gomen nasai.

King's Crossed: Same continuem as 'The Seeker', set during Hogwarts days, in the gang's fifth year. This is where my pet OC, Leona, gets to shine. Don't worry, she doesn't bite... and hopefully, she won't turn into a Mary-Sue... but if she does, well, I really won't give a damn. She's my pet OC and I like her. =) Going is slow as molassas, but the next chapter is sorta close to completion. However, as with ATSW, other fics are taking priority over this one, so I can't say how soon that chapter will be coming.
