Deonesis: The name: Deonesis refers to a group of writers known throughout Scribbles n Such. It's the general name when refering to the whole group. In order to get into it, you must: 1) Join Scribbles. 2) Impress a curator/member of Deonesis so much with your writing to the point they will suggest you to the others, thus leading you to a position in the Deonesis group.
I took "deonesis" from the Greek God "Dionysus," who's the God of Vine.
"Dionysus became one of the most important gods in everyday life. He became associated with several key concepts. One was rebirth after death. " (The whole rebirth idea came from the newest version of Scribbles which is the pink layout you will see when checking it out. The whole theme was rebirth)
What is Scribbles n Such? Scribbles n Such is a forum, dedicated to writing. There you can post your works, get comments/suggestions on it, and over time, improve on your writing. Everyone there is willing to support you in all you do. (http://scribblesnsuch.proboards21.com) I highly suggest in checking Scribbles out, and joining it. You won't regret it.
Dion: Dion is the name you use when refering toa single person from Deonesis. So, the singular form.
Portfolios: A portfolio is basically all the gathered work of the Dions per theme. UrbanCinderella (or another curator) will assign a theme every five weeks, and the Dions will have five weeks time to put up their submission, which can be poetry/prose of any length. And so, new portfolios come up every five weeks. :) This is new to Scribbles, ever since the new version was released in December of 2004.
